I had a similar experience with the smell and it seems to be from the foam packaging in the box rather than anything on the actual FF2. The smell went away for me after 3 or 4 bowls.

Got an update on my Bluetooth issues. FF support basically confirmed there is an incompatibility with the FF app on my device (Nexus 6P running N Preview). They're on the case and hope to have an update to the app by end of month.

Some quick math on the May update numbers tells us that they only expected to get 1882 units out. I would expect there to be far more than that outstanding in the orders currently estimated for June. I fully expect my early Jan '16 order to pushed back to August before all is said and done.
