Ok, so I reached out to S&B to tell them the update did not fix my issue. I was authorized to complete a RMA for a replacement unit! Annoying process, but S&B seems to be taking care of me!

Well, I saw the post that new FW was released. I went to site and downloaded it without issue, but it did not fix my E04 message! I really would like to use this $400 brick!

Thanks. I took it apart and soaked parts in isopropyl for about 20 minutes. Some parts needed a bit more attention with Qtips and other tools! Then rinsed and reassembled. It is amazing how much better this thing hits now that it's all clean. Kinda ridiculous I've gone so long -- airflow...

Question: are you guys taking the CU apart before soaking or not?

I'm enjoying my Venty, but really need S&B to start selling the cooling units and spare parts in USA store. Mine is getting gunky and would like to have some spares to just swap out...so I can clean when I feel like it.

I use capsules also...~ .170g of material in each. I do like to pack them tightly though. In other news...I'm gunking up the cooling unit screens like crazy. I ordered these off Amazon and they are a good alternative to the S&B screens for the cooling unit...

Yea...I've noticed this too after about a week of lots of use. I bought two sets also and have several doing this. Still better than aluminum, but I've found taking the capsule out while the unit is still hot helps the lid from getting stuck in the CU. But...yea some are a bit too loose now...
