I have only been filling it about 1/3 to 1/2, and it's working pretty well. Packing it down definitely seems to be key. Since I don't have a super cool tool to pack it down with, I've been using a pencil eraser, and that has been doing a pretty good job.

I've used my new Pax the last few nights, and I'm very happy with it. Such a sleek little device. I do wonder about the amount of herb to use in the oven per session. I've heard that the Pax works best when the oven is fully loaded. I don't generally smoke a very large amount at any one time...

I posted in this thread about 10 days ago, announcing that I am new to vaporizing, I decided to buy a Pax, but unfortunately, my new Pax wouldn't charge. I had to send it back to vapeworld, and I still haven't received my new one (hopefully tomorrow). I haven't read through this entire thread...

Don't think either of those did the trick. The tabs seem to be shaped the way they are supposed to (the Pax stays connected to the charger when I pick it up) and removing the mouthpiece didn't make a difference. It's gotta either be a faulty charger or battery, I think. Unfortunately, I won't be...

Pretty sure I'm doing everything the way I'm supposed to - mouthpiece down when it is on the charger. The cord seems plugged in all the way; I've pressed the cord into the dock connector pretty damn good to make sure it's in there as much as possible.
