@EyedunnoDid you get the all glass stem? I love vaporizing through glass and glass ALONE, meaning no screens and no "easy fill" metal container (yeah I'm looking at you, Evo).
Nah, I got the adjustable stem only. I'm not a glass snob by any means; hell, I still combust out of metal and like it. Honestly I would have gotten it just on the basis of the screen being easier to deal with (I absolutely love honeycomb screens), but I heard of some dissatisfaction with the screen depth in some of the stems and figured I'd stick with the metal screen for now, despite an almost pathological dislike of mesh screens (metal honeycomb screens are fine for me though, and that's what I use in my metal pipe). I have requested a custom glass stem from JoDa Glassworks on here, and I have also ordered one of Ed's wooden stems.

I will also hold off on a GonG, as, while I have a piece I could use one in, dry hits are my thing anyway, and I did not find any of the hits I took from this to be uncomfortably hot or harsh. Again, I take small hits, which probably helps, but my cheapo Titan DOES get both too hot and too harsh, so I know it's possible.

I have a love/hate with the glass stem. I do think it is a nice thick piece of glass. I like that I can just suck up a little weed without needing to tamp it down really. Most of the time I draw up just enough to easily clear the heater. It is very handy when you want to take quick sessions.

However, I do find it a bit harsh even with my usual 6.25 setting. Yeah you lose a little flavor with a water pipe, but the cooler, humid vapor is key for me. When I have the time for a :chill: session, I like to use the 18mm gong on my 12in water pipe. Hands down a better hit for me :spliff:

It really wouldn't matter if the stem was glass or wood, but a Burled EdsTnT would be nice. ;) But I really only use a stem around 10-20% of the time.

Interesting. You might be right about the harshness. Not uncomfortable at all for me with the small tokes I take though. The Titan could get uncomfortable, even with small hits.

And yeah, a lot of people love water pieces, and I can appreciate that. Again, my preference is generally to sip though, and a bong is kind of silly for that. I have one that I use occasionally though, and it takes 14mm, so you can bet I'm gonna be using it a time or two when I get the Grasshopper (maybe early next year, depending on supply and demand, not to mention disposable cash--I'm hoping I can order early next month, and hopefully they start to get caught up on orders in a few months).

I've been lurking for a while, reading this and other threads, and signed up to offer a hearty and heartfelt thanks to all of you on here that have provided lots of useful info. Based on my readings here I got the e-nano, it arrived yesterday, and I couldn't be more pleased with it. New to vaping - this is my first one - but I don't see any more combustion in my future; the vaping experience with the nano is just so far superior, in every way.

Details: I got the walnut; it's beautiful. I followed the recommendations to preheat for a few minutes at 10, dialed it back down to 6.5, packed a tiny pinch of my preferred strain into the glass stem, and started drawing slowly. It worked like a charm; got a lovely tasting, potent draw, then a couple more, and took a break to see where things stood, since I'm kind of a lightweight. Turned out to be all I needed, so I turned off the nano and admired it for a while; it's really beautiful, like a small piece of furniture.

I was torn, based on stuff I've read in various places, between the nano and the Extreme-Q, which was about the same price. It was this thread, I think, that swayed me over to the nano, and I think I'm glad it did, the caveat being that as soon as I ordered the nano, I saw another outlet online that had the Extreme Q for about $40 less, and with free shipping. Had I seen that before I ordered, I probably would have gotten it. As it turns out, the nano seems to be a much better fit aesthetically, with my sensibilities and taste. Can't compare performance, but I can't imagine it being much better.

So thanks again!

@Bat Guano welcome to the FC community a group of some pretty awesome folks. The Enano was such a good vaporizer I bought a second one. They are such beautiful units and work awesome with just a little bit of product. Also the cannabis keeps its good flavor even towards the end of your session.

Whether you are a medical patient or a recreational user the Nano will work overtime and then some. I like a medium grind and my temp anywhere from 6 to 6.5 using it dry (no water tool)depending on my product. Usually if my cannabis is on the dry side it will require a lower temp.

Glad you decided to fuckcombustion.
We love the Enano around here, we want everyone else to love it too.

I love how efficient the E-Nano is. I had to purchase a scale just to double check my estimates. I was dead on, I almost always load the stem with .05 gram or .025 gram loads.

I use the larger loads with lower temps, and the smaller loads for higher temps.

During the daytime I usually use lower temps and I find bigger loads, .05g, allow me to medicate more quickly at the expense of more stirring. I get anywhere from four to ten solid hits depending on quality of cannabis.

At night I like to use higher temps, so I use a small amount, .025g to achieve a fast, even extraction with little to no stirring. I get two to five big hits using the nano this way.

This is just what works for me. I usually use the nano dry but that may change. My goal is always a fast even extraction with as much flavor as possible.
