broken both of the small O-rings that sit right above the airpath in the CU

are there any FC approved replacements I can buy online for cheaper than the S&B site?

thanks.

There was a link posted, but apparently it's only good if you are in the USA as they don't ship out of the country. If anyone stocks up on them (the small CU ones you are referring to), please let us know! That tiny o-ring is definitely a consumable item for me... the others I can't ever see replacing.

I have had.my mighty for 6 months now and do regular iso soak on my cooling unit and have yet to have an issue with the oring..I have few extras laying around but I think those came from buying wear and tear kits and extra cooling unit for muzzmod..lol..but just doesn't seem to be super big issue..how do you guys end up damaging yours?

By taking it off before soaking it first. Because it's so sticky, it can stick to the CU and cause micro tears, which then get worse and eventually break. By soaking it with the CU first, I think it would come off much easier, and then shouldn't cause any issues. It is small, thin, and somewhat delicate in my experience, especially in comparison to the others.

The Best time efficient method for cleaning my CU is to get the ISO warm, which I do using this method:

1. Pour ISO in zip lock bag and put fully assembled w/screen CU inside. (You can disassemble if you choose)
2. Get all the air out of the bag you can and make sure its sealed extremely well.
3. Put the zip lock inside an empty glass and fill the glass with hot tap water. (Hottest setting.)
4. After letting it soak for 2-3 minutes,Take it out of the hot water filled glass and shake very well for about 1 minute. (Careful not to shake too hard where the bag unseals)
5. Repeat "Step 3"
6. Repeat "Step 4"
7. If you reclaim, pour everything into wherever you pour your ISO reclaim and dissemble CU and drop it in the glass with hot water for a quick rinse of all ISO, and then let it dry disassembled.

Hey Folks I've started using the Mighty, latest version. The battery doesn't last that long, probably 6 bowls max run at 185 C/285 F.

I'm stoked with this vape, no comparison with the Pax, yearlights away . I''m using it with the pad on. Much better.

I started at 185, went down to 180 then 175 and now I'm vaping at 170.... Still lots of vapor that gets me baked pretty hard... This time I went for the last 3 sips at 177 and I felt a big difference, the vapor is harsher, not only coz they were the last 3 draws...

At what T do you think the Mighty performs best and avoid possibly any irritation?
At what T do you vape?

i fucked up by removing all the o-rings before cleaning. it's my clumsy stretching of them during reassembly that ends up making a tear in the rubber.

from now on, those o-rings are staying on there god help me

Maybe you would need to heat up the cu first. Not sure why you don`t buy from s/b
$6.90 for the mighty seal ring set.

I start at 340 Fahrenheit and work up to 360 then 380 and lastly 410. I find that at the lower temperature, depending on the herb, I can taste it more and the vapor isn't harsh. When I move up its not as harsh as starting it at a high temperature right away.

Did half my session last night with GDP at 365-385. Very good effect.

When your device reached temp does it ever go over a couple degrees then crawl back down? Does this make sense? The number rises to desired temp and a couple degrees past them levels out

Because I don't need any of the others, in fact I have a shit tonne of them as they never need replacing. Heating up the CU would solve the problem forsure before removing it.

Mine's got 2 cuts in it too but still seems to seal okay. How many have you had to replace? I bought that kit thinking I'd need it down the road but still on my first CU and the seals are good except that one. A few pages back someone mentioned using a hair dryer to heat the CU before cleaning. Works like a charm.

Well I have two Mighty's and I did buy the wear& tear kit, and i'm down to my last single o-ring which is in bad shape. I guess I should have mentioned I lost 2-3 of them down the drain! Just another reason I need a good stock of these.

They will still work well even with the cuts, but eventually depending on how careful you are they will end up tearing completely.

The older firmware version under shot the temps by a few degrees.
The newer firmware over shoots the temp like the crafty, it's PART of the reason the batteries on the newer models don't last as long.
It's all in the thread man. All in the thread. :myday:
Can someone answer my question regarding temperature? Few posts nack
You can answer alot of your questions with searches, sometimes it's faster than waiting for someone to answer.

The discussion is on page 99. You were there too, inquiring about price.

@Vapetrees I've done this before but starting from 365 F/185 C the herb gets pretty toasted if not burnt. The analog temperature it's just an indication. What tells you if you are vaping or combusting is the color of the herb at the end of the session. I've noted that after the 365/185 limit you really have to be very careful. I went down with T exactly for that reason.... Anybody experiencing anything similar?

Not sure what you mean 100% just because the AVB from the mighty/crafty even on high (400°f or better) the herb doesn't come out like it was combusted. In fact the pax cooks the herbs darker on lower heat than the mighty.

@WakeAndVape that's exactly what I meant. The Pax definitely combusts, even if you set it at the middle T. However, I've seen that in the Mighty after 10/12 draws, if the T is over 365/185, then the herb can get pretty dark brown, not as dark as in the Pax but definitely dark brown. For me that's the beginning of a small combustion, and you can even smell a little bit more of roasted corn in the leftover. I guess my unit works just fine, because it's not darkening the herb at the beginning but just at the end after several draws. To me this means avoiding the higher T for too long...

390f isn't combustion temperature.

The Mighty doesn't have a very precise thermometer. We don't know the error range because B&S didn't declare it but it could be easily 10 degrees or more, equals to less than 3% accuracy, and then 390 bocomes in reality >400... going combusted...

My sweet spot with the Mighty is between 165C/329F and 185/365... Above that, I feel definitely a heavier vapor

Yah, I just got mint but it does seem to seek a bit. Not a problem I not something that worries me though.

I've read that THC vapes @ 157 C. I messed around with my now EX-Crafty trying to extract a given cannabinoid, and it's my first impression that the Crafty didn't tend to seek like my new Mighty. Nowadays I start at 186 C and depending on the results might walk up a few degrees as the bowl develops. And I just did a session using the Mighty, a whip and an 18mm glass elbow along with some Chinese bubbler glass. AH! Smooth!
But THC is tastless so unless you also vape some terpines you might get a great hit but not realize it for a minute or so..

I think I got that right. I'm an old new guy

BUT!

I don't have easy access to The Kind because the Marijuana Control Board (cDominated by the ALCOHOL Control Board) has to develop its marijuana rules by November 24, 2015 and must begin accepting applications to run marijuana businesses no later than February 24, 2016. Add in tim!e to grow and a best case scenerio is late Spring. And the fact that I'd quit smoking weed for 20 years and all my close friends either moved or died, I don't really have a good connection! AND I am a native Coloradan, I know a couple folks there but it's a few miles distant...leaving my house delivery of quality Buds was a dream come true. But after a few months they were shut down. SWAT TEAM and all.How absolutely pathetic! Anyway the law specifically prohibits delivery. AND prohibits anyone who had a weed delivery company from ever buying a retail license.
I hope I get to actually have consistent access to cannabis products! Because THEN my USB Microscope and other toys I've acquired will be more fun! I want to be able to know what cannabinoids are present. Then I'll experiment again.
