I have the same history and was never offered a resolution like this. S&B agreed that buying a second unit was the best way to resolve this. That seems so shady now after reading your post.
I'm sorry if I upset you about this... I really wish I had two, so I could go down one and still be good. I had recurring problems, kept sending in and returning, even paying for express shipping myself. I think that's why they did this, after so may quality issues with one customer. Again, I'm sure this is a rare occurrence, and only something they do after they screwed up a bunch of times.

The same things happened to me too. I don't regret buying my Mighty I just dislike the way S&B are treating customers differently. I wish I could have saved the weeks pay it cost me to buy an additional second unit.

I hear ya, when I sent my mighty in they didn't offer to pay for shipping until I called and asked them for a (free) shipping label.

just like some people get freebies with their units, some don't. (I would fall in the don't catagory)

At the end of the day we ALL paid for a great product and we ALL deserve great/consistent service

not a lottery of superior customer service, with mediocre service for the rest.

I'm in Pennsylvania, I hear older units can be faulty I'm in in the business of sending vapes in for repair

If you IN the buisness of sending them in, what's the problem?

But I take it your not...anything can potentially be faulty, but I wouldn't say the mighty (even older) are faulty.

It depends on how you use it, if your using it 20 times a day like me and pushing it to the limit it COULD give you problems (and you'll be covored)

if you occasionally use it and baby it, it will last longer.

If you wait until next year you could get the future model.

It's your birthday. Celebrate. Get the fucking mighty.

May as well get from s and b if you live in the USA. Seems they have redisigned the housing recently. I have a 500 serial number have used it every day heavily since November and it's still a beast. A couple nicks came of the area where the cu docks to the unit and a broken fin.
I am happy as fuwk that I grabbed it. Will send in at some point bcuz of the couple little problems described above. This has provided the best mj experiences I have had being a 20 year chronic herb smoker.

Few questions before my Mighty arrives today:

Does the Mighty auto-off after 1 min like the Crafty?

How long should I run the unit empty before using herb in it?

What are some of your favorite temps on the Mighty?

I've never had a vape where I could choose the exact temp other than the Crafty which I never changed the temp from the factory defaults.

Yes

You may run it empty 1 time to 210C/410F before using herb, in order to avoid bad smell.

What are some of your favorite temps on the Mighty?
180C/356F, 195C/383F and 210C/410F
OR
150C/302F, 155C/311F, 160C/320, 165C/329, 170C/338F, 195C/383F, 210C/410F if I am looking for flavour

Changing temp is good to get all flavor from flowers, enjoy even with Crafty :)

What are some of your favorite temps on the Mighty? A QUICK BOWL 380F SLOW BOWL start at 350F

I forgot you need an app on the crafty. I always start at one temp, then ride that temp until the hits slow, then bump it up. Try it, you'll like it.

@dimildarko

It auto off's after one minute. Can trick it by hitting a temp button occasionally.

I turned mine on to 400, and let it run like 5 minutes. Gave it a few pulls too to burn off anything. I guess I inhaled that burn off, but w/e lol.

Make sure you change the screen in the CU from the stock screen to the extra fine screen they give you additionally. I detailed how to do it a few pages back, and it's been discussed to death in here. Basically you take the CU apart, use the poker to poke the screen out the bottom, and then fit the new screen in from the bottom and snap it into place.

For temps, I really think the Mighty shines at lower temps. I get clouds like no other on "taste" hits and "taste" bowls. My favorite is like 355 to 365. If I want to vape it faster, I bump it up to like 395 for 8-10 hits and the bowl is kicked. Lower temps let me enjoy it longer, and I still blow out plumes. 345 is decent too for taste, I don't tend to go lower then that but I have and it works.

Some other things, but I've been letting mine cool down basically after each use before I empty it out. Let that plastic cool, and it won't get stressed as easily. I have no visible degradation on my unit after 3-4 weeks. And it's such a beastly vape, I don't really ever NEED two bowls for my session, so I don't mind letting it cool. Sometimes I want though :p but it really only takes like 10-15 minutes for it to cool down a bit.

I need to clean my CU soon though, do you guy's recommend I just scrape and reclaim? Or toss the pieces in a container of some heated up ISO for like 3-5 minutes? I fucking hate cleaning my vapes lol, half a notion to just let this CU gunk up beyond use and then just get a new one.

That's ridiculous. They replaced your unit with a non-functioning unit?

What did they say when you asked them about it?

What was your Issue?

Err 004, and cracked housing

Few questions before my Mighty arrives today:

Yes

How long should I run the unit empty before using herb in it?

10 minutes on high should do it

What are some of your favorite temps on the Mighty?

Between 355 and 400 for me

It's functioning, they gave it a software upgrade and new housing (not the newest) they just took the o ring. But the software upgrade seems to make it a little weaker (imo)

So if i am correct this is probably the only thing i need to do is replace the stock screen in the cooling unit to extra fine when i get my Mighty? This is ok to do right it wont scratch anything? I very much want to keep mine pristine and plan to use the liquid pad on top of herbs as well to keep it extra clean.

Is there anything else? Like extra fine screens in the herb chamber? Or does nothing ever go through there? Thx

So if you didn't have an O-Ring you wouldn't have been able to use your unit?
