Had my first night with the Crafty - it really is as great as people say.

I did have two questions. The automatic shut-off kept triggering - I would say it happened 6-7 times. My draws do not reset it - is this normal? Am I going to need to press that button every minute to prevent this?

The battery life was not as good as expected - I did not time it but it was under 45 minutes. The app said I have 50% battery life left but the Crafty blinked a blue light indicating no charge - is this normal?

I already own a minivap so I should be set but I'm not, apparently.
I quit smoking once again and I want to treat me with a new, smaller vape with the same great taste and a well established company behind itself.
My minivap "sessions" are just a pull each. After each one I turn off the unit and probably have another 5/10 seconds long inhale after 30min/1hour.
How much would a crafty last with such usage?
Maybe a Vapman?! You can load it up for only one draw and later refill with fresh herbs! The Vapman needs a little learning time but if you once got the feeling for it, it gives you very nice flavourful hits! I still love the wood flavour with the little Swiss vape!

I was going to suggest the same thing. The Vapman and the Crafty make a great team.

I have both. While the Vapman is great, it can be frustrating and is not the most stealthy device out there. I hate to admit, that since getting the crafty, my vapman has seen no use. I might have to take it out of its egg and give it some love again.

@UnshavenFish , I use my crafty in the same way, I try to kill a bowl as fast as I can.

A full bowl can take me about 6- 10 minutes, and I can easily get 3 out of charge since new. However my session of choice is a half bowl, it gives me a nice high from so little and I can kill that bowl in about 2 mins. I can get 6-7 half bowls from a full crafty charge. I realize everyone has different usage methods, but speed ripping those bowls helps preserve the battery life and it has been a non-issue for me in the 4 months and 65 hours I have on it.

Your definitely going to need to press the button once a minute to ensure it does not shut off, I typically do it right after a draw or two as I mentally just compare it to ashing the j after a couple hits. As for the battery life, it sounds like your unit was overheating and just decided to shut down. Usually if you wait a couple minutes for the battery to cool it will come back on without issue, or at least that has been my experience

I just don't know how she does it....vape so well...every single time it's perfect abv to any shade of brown you choose. Never bad flavour....i can't wait for @Ratchett 's adapter for my glass pieces.....pretty stoked to crank this fucker up to 210c and see what it can do!

EDIT: Fuck my life just my luck! Looks like the BT has crapped out. Not a single connection hiccup until now at its 20th hour. :(

Any tips? I've restarted my phone, the crafty, charged it full, pressed the power button for 10 sec.

EDIT AGAIN! Back in biz! Not sure what happened there, but fired it up after letting it chill for a while and the app asked for the serial and everything works as it should again. Weird!

Hour 21 and counting!

S&B stated they will cover massdrop purchases! This is getting me hyped to join in, convince me why I should buy the crafty and not another portable? I have owned a firefly but it wasnt best suited for my needs.

Just coming up to my 2nd hour on my crafty. It's the 2nd vape I've owned after a mflb; it took a long time to get into vaping but when it finally clicked with the lb I wanted to get the best possible quality, so I went for the crafty.

I don't regret it one bit right now. Expensive, but I've not had the urge to smoke since I bought it; In fact when I did smoke I found it very unsatisfying.
I'd definitely recommend the crafty to any serious herb-enthusiast

THANKS!!! That did the trick! That's why it started working before and I didn't even realize it, because I reinstalled the app. But I also tried this before, unsuccessfully so it's puzzling. Regardless, it works again (for now), and i'm starting to think turning it on during charging or disconnecting while charging may be messing something up? Odd that this never happened before the 20th hour.

Thanks to FC and @turbovap I am back and up and running again! Oh, and welcome to FC brotha!

where did you guys buy your crafty from? I want to get one but waiting for the massdrop deal is always a pain, I would much rather have it sooner. I see everyonedoesit.com has it for extremely cheap but I am curious about how S&B feels about the price. I emailed them and they said that the

So I assume that means buying it from there would be fine?

Well, that's kinda unique.

As tight of a control as they typically have on their pricing, this stance kinda surprises me, but in good way.

I thought so too, they have strict price control so I assume they don't really mind where the consumer will buy it from if the business is upholding the price restraints. I just worry about the other sites that have it for extremely cheap, seems a bit off...

So this is my case I purchased from secretvape.com. It is much bigger than I assumed, about the size of a dictionary. But I mainly was just looking for something I can store my whole kit in and carry to and from my car and/or sit in my car without looking suspicious. It also does Mask the smell very well so all in all I'm happy. Because they do not make one specific to the crafty I purchased the one for the davinci, if you go on the website you would see that the set up is a bit different as the davinci actually sits where I keep the wall plug in and I did have to modify the area were I placed my crafty by cutting a little bit of the foam out to make it fit.

I just got mine this week - ordered from Australiavaporizers - the total with shipping came to 314 which is a nice little discount compared to paying full price in the US.

There are two disadvantages however; one is that the power supply is for 220v not 110. But if you have a micro-usb charger (such as for your phone) then its a non-issue. Or you can just buy an adapter.

The other disadvantage is it took about 9 days to arrive.

EDIT: I believe they're authorized dealers as well, if that gives you peace of mind with the warranty.

Its pretty small so I would say yes - not as small as the MFLB but small. About the size of a deck of cards. I think the MFLB in "native" mode would be more stealthy in public though.
