Hello owners or glass blowers at glassblowersdirect.com (not really sure who to address here),
A week or two ago i went to your website and used the "Contact Us" link and sent you an email that has not been replied to as of yet. First let me say, i am not complaining about it, just trying different avenues to get you to see my message. i reached out to you to inquire about a project i was interested in seeing if you could take on and how much an end product may be. the project i am looking to get done is an "all glass" DaBuddha vaporizer wand to take the silicone tubing out of the picture when using my DBV. my idea (with the help of another FC member), would be to have a standard DBV wand come out of the DBV as it does now, but then extend out a few more inches and then upward "gooseneck style" to flared mouthpiece opening. i am not much of an illustrator but i can provide you an EXTREMELY CRUDE drawing of what i see in my head if you don't understand my description.
do you think its possible to make?? and how much do you think it would cost me??
i know 7th floor makes an extended transfer tube for the LSV that would fit in my DBV just fine but it is straight and i would have to bend over to hit it on my desk. if that same tube was was "goose necked" with a bigger mouthpiece that would be what i am looking for.

I recommend you try contacting 7th Floor for a custom piece, that way you have the same GonG herb chamber that they use. A normal GonG joint will have a much smaller inside diameter and less capacity. They'll even put a DBV logo on it for you. AFAIK, they will do just about anything within their abilities.

i already did that as well. contacted Chris from 7th floor and he never got back to me on it either. he mentioned a DBV extended transfer wand for the DBV but i did not see one on the site and i am assuming he is talking about the LSV one. i asked him about that too and no answer to that as well. so i was trying somewhere else. i am beginning to think its not possible to do or no one wants to take it on. if thats the case... so be it. i just had to ask.

Anyone else have or getting the reverse showerhead bub he has ($209)?
Thats what I've ordered, customized with a 90 slide instead of a 45, so that extract/wax/oil wont drip to one side... I also asked him to make sure the main bub piece sits below 12.5 inches in height. Sam mentioned how large this was and I have a very particular shelf that I'd like to store this in(when not in use), which only gives me 12.5/13 inches in height of storage. He's making it all work, along with a custom ash-catcher & Bowl, Dome & titanium nail, and curved mouthpiece for desktop use (as opposed to a standing position), since i plan on leaving it on my coffee table as a centerpiece.
I jumped in quick guys, lurked for a few weeks and just pulled the trigger on the glass, an LSV, and a sweet gunmetal 4 pc SCShredder.

what did he say about the size being large? its hard to tell in the pic because theres nothing to compare it to, it looks like it'll be on the wider side, i kinda think this bubbler will be a perfect size....anyway did he say anything else to you about the design?

He mentioned that it was big, and very thick. He said that they are a bit bigger than 12/13 inches in height and built like a tank
I asked Sam:
is there a smooth pull on this bubbler or more of a glug glug...
He replied:
its actually a combination of both, depending on the water level. But I would say it chugs more, but it is smoothed out because of the size of this beast. And just so you know, the showerhead is not completely submerged in water. Its actually a two chamber piece, with the showerhead filled with water and fountains up creating all kinds of swishing and splashing.You gonna luv it!

Just spoke with him, heres some news regarding that particular piece...
The downstem perc is open ended, meaning the main bulk of your pull will come thru that open end, not the slits that are in the tube, unless/untill you pull hard/ clear the bubbler. I had specifically asked him this question. He feels that a closed end would create too much restriction, and make the piece unpleasant to use... Just a heads up.
I had described to him something more like an inline perc... sooo. To remedy he is including a perc downstem that (to the best of my knowledge) will act kind of like a removable reclaim/oil catcher.
I'm happy with the compromise, just thought I'd update.
Since he is reworking my piece, its not going out till next week. I'd rather wait and get what I want tho..
