Okay, 14mm quartz cap. What in the actual hell. We’re talking a thin tube with a 14mm joint and a quartz cap and that’s it (I did use the screen too). How the hell does a thin tube with a simple cap that’s not even sealed when it’s on produce this level of vaporization?!

I torched it for about 15-20 seconds, basically until I saw the flame turn orange, and then took a hit. First one was super tasty, easily as tasty as my first hit off a Sticky Brick. The next three hits were so voluminous and thick that I couldn’t believe I had all that vapor in my lungs. I got the spiral 14mm J-hook from TRWW as well and while it did have a tight draw, the vapor itself was cool the whole way through, never harsh. I did mostly CBD with just a hint of some THCa flower so I can’t say how strong the effects come on but I can feel a slight body high and with so little THCa flower in there, that means it must be extracting super efficiently.

I know ball vapes are all the rage but the simplicity, ease of use, and knock me on my ass level of hit make this a contender for one of the best vapes in my collection. Super excited to try the Terpsicle now. What an absolute winner of a device!

Yup. I feel you. I always respect all-glass (or quartz) vapes. Glass is such a nice neutral material that preserves so much flavor.

I loved the Vaponic when I first got it and I love it's bigger brother the Terpedo.

Two more back to back bowls, one through the spiral J-hook and one through water. On the first one I was too conservative with my heating and needed to do multiple top offs. Taste was amazing for several of these lower temp hits.

Second bowl I only had to heat once and got several excellent, thick hits, but I actually found the vapor wasn’t as cool as it was through the spiral J-hook. It’s not a great water piece and I’m waiting on a new one to come in, but that spiral J-hook really delivers! Absolutely cool vapor even by the end of the bowl. And while I could feel the hook getting hot during use, it cooled down extremely quickly. If there were an 18mm version with a wider diameter on the glass, I’d be all over it. It was $12, I should have bought three to have some spares.

Another perfect session with the Quartz Cap, and I think I figured out why it's so well balanced. I was watching the demo video for the Terpcicle and Dave mentioned that these styles of glass vapes are temp builders, so even though you apply all the heat up front, the full amount of heat doesn't build up until after the first hit. This is why the first hit is so tasty, the heat hasn't fully built up yet so you get a lower temp hit up front, then as the heat builds up you get those thick, milky hits. Compare this to a ball vape where the heat is built up so fully that you get a huge blast of heat right from the first hit, you would have to deliberately heat soak less to get a lower temp hit, whereas with these the lower temp hit is built into the function of it. Man, I am in love with this thing.

I usually go the opposite way and heat soak my Quartz cap. I've been doing visual heating till the flame goes orange. Let it soak for 30s and giving it a quicker heat up til orange again and I let rip. The 18mm QC holds so much weed, crushing it with a heat soak is the highest I've gotten off just flower.

Yes, I've been doing that too, heating it for about 20-25 seconds, so it is heat soaking. But the nice thing about the design is that the inner bowl doesn't get all of that heat directly on the first hit, which is why the first hit is lower vapor and more tasty, and then subsequent hits have dense vapor.

Compare this to my Eighteen Millimeter Killer, which is a portable ball vape. When I heat soak it, the balls have the most amount of heat that they will retain when I take my first hit, so the hottest air goes through the bowl first, then slightly less hot each time I draw. If I want to maximize flavor, I'd need to do a shorter heat up first, take the lower temp flavor draw, and then heat it again for the remaining hits.

@Monk Debate if you do please leave some feedback here

@Petetbay yah you do need to be careful. Its probably not a product for everyone

@Sour Dream you should be able to

@Ariwe there is really no significant difference and I think this will be the last run of the large ones

@terpguy420 I have. It works well. Each tip will require slightly different timing. The Omni tip is my favorite to use with the "Sipper" (thin), it takes very little heat to blast big clouds and the flavor is great. I think the SS tips work better with the "Ripper", less chance of going to far

@ShayWhiteGrow does one beat the other in the reach test?

@Monk Debate , @TigoleBitties , @MTpromises glad you are finding the sweet spot and enjoying the vapes

@Sour Dream glad to hear it

Didn't realize that I hadn't posted these here. I made these just for fun. But I think they might work really well for cooling. You can see from the second picture that the holes are definitely helping to disperse the vapor over a large area instead of just down the condenser. I will be releasing some of these next week. If you grab one I would love some feedback

Today I received my 14mm terpcicle and both of the glass vapcap caps in beta testing. All three products work wonderfully.

The terpcicle in particular kept me elevated for quite a bit longer than I'm accustomed to, really was an efficient session. The glass dynavap caps are lovely. Much better than these metal bands around the caps (I own the Simrell one and it does not see any use) and taste noticeably better on the first few inhales.

Using a small bubbler I can see how dark the herb is getting in the 'cicle. I can simply stop inhaling for a bit to avoid combustion. So far I haven't combusted in 4 uses. 3 for me and 1 for the significant other who loved it. Overwhelmed her with vapor without combusting.

Every time I try a new device it hits harder and gets me higher than the ones I am used to. This being said:

The terpcicle may be my favorite vape I've ever owned. It costs less than almost every other vape I own and delivers flavor and potency while being easy to manually regulate temps.

Downsides are fairly clear, especially once you have used it a couple times. Butane is annoying and this does take a good amount of heat and fuel. Rotating it is intimidating/scary at first, annoying once you realize it won't burn you at the base. Also annoying because I'm spoiled from induction heaters. It is fragile. Not poorly manufactured mind you, just fragile. It takes time to get to temp, to me not much but I know some brethren who are less patient. Every use so far has taken less than a minute to get me chugging along, I'm happy with that as I'm learning the routine.

Okay, just tried out the glass Dynavap caps. I happened to get a PT Glass all-glass Dynavap today too, all I needed to add was a cap. I couldn’t resist having a true all glass Dynavap (pictures below). I used the 1.25mm cap for all native hits and the 2mm for WPA hits, as directed in the instructions included in the packet.

On the all glass DV, taste was definitely better than a standard Vapcap but nowhere near in the league of Sticky Bricks or the Quartz Cap (Terpcicle testing is up next). But there was very little draw restriction which was really nice. I will say the heat was intense, and despite having a thick glass cooling stem it got very hot to the touch. The vapor itself remained mostly cool. This makes an effective all glass microdoser. For use with regular Vapcaps, I recommend having a strong cooling stem attached because it will be putting in work! I got four very thick hits, much thicker than I can usually get with my Vapcaps.

I then tried the 2mm cap with a 2019 SS tip on a WPA with no carb. This was no good, way too much draw resistance. I did get a huge milky cloud right on the first hit but it’s not worth powering through the restriction to get it. So I switched to my Hydravong with Ti tip and this was my favorite of all the variations. Much better airflow, the water piece soaked up all that heat nicely and I cleared it basically in one, I did take a second hit and it was much wispier. IMO this setup beats an FMJ or Armored Cap because there’s much better airflow, and it’s cool to see the herb get sucked down as you inhale.

ABV on all of these was very dark and even, but I never felt close to combustion. I did a single flame on the 1.25mm cap and a triple flame on the 2mm. I didn’t count for either of them, just looked for the flame to change to orange as it hit the glass.

The big winner for me is the 2mm through water on the Hydravong. Being able to clear the whole bowl in one hit is terrific and doing so with better airflow than any standard cap can get is very satisfying.

@RogueGuy mentions in the instructions that this is a beta, and I get that. I think both perform very well, I certainly prefer them over any solution that uses a regular metal cap, but I will say it does feel very niche. I think many Dynavap users may feel uncomfortable with the lack of click. I only felt as comfortable as I did because I have been using the Quartz Cap so much. And then having to find a place to safely put down hot glass is a factor too. I do think these are actually quite forgiving even without the click, I really had no fear of combustion, but if you do decide to sell them I think a notice in the description that these are for more experienced or adventurous vapists would be useful and I don’t know if there’s something inexpensive you could throw in to help users handle the caps on the cooldown but that would be a big plus for usability.

I will say these did make me excited to use my Vapcaps again, which I haven’t been excited about in a long time, so that’s already a win for me. I’ll be using these from now on without a doubt, especially for those intensely satisfying one hit clears on the Hydravong.

Edit: I did all these tests with CBD flower because I was doing so many back to back bowls and didn't want to be baked, and it still got me high! Not couch locked or shot into orbit but definitely in an altered state.

@Gnome34 glad you are enjoying them and thanks for the post . I agree, and as @Monk Debate mentioned, my devices are not for everyone.

@Sour Dream ufff! That's a long wait

@nicknobody TGIF!!

@Monk Debate thanks for the post. I'm glad you found tips that worked. I have cycled through a bunch of tips. The fact that you had issues with your 19 tip is interesting. I have used a 19 without issue. I think it says that every tip will be a little different. I would definitely think the newer tips with bigger notches will provide the best airflow.

I totally agree that my products are for the more advanced user. I will post a note in the listing. I really apreciate your feedback. The "Convection Cap" is one item that I'm not sure people can/will master.

I'll say that, I see the things I make as "Alternatives" not "better than". The "cap" is obviously indispensable. But the truth is, I hadn't picked up a Vapcap in months. And as you mentioned, "these made me excited about using my vapcap again".

To clarify, I’m pretty sure the reason I got such bad airflow with the 19 M SS tip is because I was also using it on a glass tube WPA without an airport. I think it was a combo of using the thicker cap, so less room for airflow, plus the WPA without carb, it just wasn’t enough air in the whole total system. I’m sure if I put the SS tip on my Hydravong the airflow would be much better, I just permanently leave a Ti tip on the Hydravong.
