so word is the quartz dishes arepate but coming but the idea has been scrapped for "another better idea " the owner said the quartz dishes weretoo finicky and had to be placed perfectly to work.he was being slightly vague he said because he has a great new idea but doesnt want it to be hijacked. so they went ahead and sent my mole yesterday and said they wouldshit the quartz dish when it came inand that they would send us the new idea as soon as they were available.

Molecule Quartz Update (self.Waxpen)

submitted 9 hours ago by VapeMore4LessAVS Molecule Creator

We decided to change the design of the "coil-less" bucket after finding a better way. If you pre-ordered, our shipment is in transit still but taking longer than usual. We anticipate receiving them Monday or Tuesday and will ship them out then. We discontinued the current "coil-less" design because it's very temperamental and requires a lot of patience. The coil needs to be installed perfectly flush so that the insert sits flush on top of the coil. This is harder than it may sound. As a result I've redesigned the way we are doing the "coil-less" option and am extremely optimistic about the solution. I'll send everyone that pre-ordered the new parts as soon as I have them at no additional charge. You will receive the pre-order you paid for, but then you will receive a better upgrade for free within a couple weeks. I'm really sorry, I just want to make sure it's more user friendly and I don't want to make people buy something new every couple weeks. We're dedicated to making sure everyone is happy. Let us know if you have any questions!

So after further reading on Reddit, it sounds like they're up to something interesting.

It looks like they have a solution that heats both the bottom and the SIDES of the quartz insert. Like their flattened coil design, this is something I've been looking for, for years.

Sucks that there's a delay, but it sounds like they're taking care of everybody.

I do think everyone should try just using the raw coils. I never liked coil atty's because they:

Leak
Generate a lot of reclaim
Have a metallic taste
Are hard to clean

The Molecule has basically solved these issues, in my book anyway.

Interested to see this new coilless quartz design though.

Very cool, love creative thinking. Good peeps.
Sent me email notice that they sent me out the
"Mole" with all the old stuff to play with.
(Extra Quartz atty base & cups) and
soon new system is set , will send new stuff all free.
Get to go trial & error with old stuff, as it's what I do
already with bucket inserts of all sizes & heaters of
different types. So lucky as I no interest in messing with
cleaning up mess on coils or attys.
I know I can get AVS cups to work as I had less to work
with and am having great results.
The Sai Ti cup no clean up great TC 5-6 15 sec pulls on
small amount no waste great with or without glass,
totally spoiled me, brings me down having to do all that
messy cleanup & goo, No More.

In the meantime, tomorrow arrives from HVT the New
Sai Taf Quartz Crucibles to TC with all my water tools.
Should be close to setting on Ti Skillet, unless they changed
wire in heating plate. I hacked the Max Eagle Ceramic Atty Plate
to use with my china inserts (wire was tungsten TCR 0.0045)
Heard the new heater plate is Nickel 200
Had to rip out atty collar to fit my taller 10mm insert cup.
Can't wait to see how well the Sai QC works.
Fun continues lol

I hear you. But I really don't treat the Molecule coils any differently than I do the Sai Bucket. Q-tipping is a little more difficult. But only a little.

Can I get it 100% clean with a dry Q-tip like on the Titanium bucket? No. But 95% clean is enough to give me perfect flavor on the next hit. I think the coils are more efficient than the Sai bucket. There's less waste overall. And it hits harder in less time. I haven't gone more than a 7 second inhale. It's just unnecessary.

Yesterday I did my first warm ISO deep cleaning on the atty. It was perfectly clean in maybe 15 minutes. I rinsed it, let it dry a bit, did a dry fire. In a few seconds it burned clean and looked good as new. I was never able to so easily clean Sai Triple Ti coils.

Now, it is possible I'll like the new "coilless" option better. But it's not a given. AVS states that the coils give you the same flavor as the quartz insert.

I can see advantages to using it both ways. The straight coils give you accurate temp control, hit harder/faster, and use less battery. The coilless quartz dish will let me revel in my OCD and allow for easier and more complete cleaning.

Interested to see which option wins for me in the end.

And I totally get people not wanting to deal with coils. That's how I felt with the Sai.

My unit is arriving Monday. Kinda bummed out about the buckets because I was hoping to have an exclusively coilless experience. Guess I'll try the coils until the new buckets are shipped. Or maybe I could get the first version of the buckets to work, although they haven't shipped yet...

Still excited though as it seems the mole is getting a lot of attention and ongoing improvement and development, these guys work pretty fast.

I saw that for the Sai. Is it SS316? My first impression is that it looks a little harder to clean, and may be leak prone like other Sai non-bucket coils. And I'm liking the quartz cup concept more than ceramic. Other than that, it should perform similarly to the Molecule.

But... I'm guessing a replacement coil is around $10. AVS sells theirs for $1.50 a pop. Or less if you want to build them yourself. I also trust AVS's stainless steel material more than HVT/CrossingTech.

Actually all good my friend lol,
Be very thankful there are a few Great Peeps out there that are working hard
to advance our state of the art in vaping to Big Hugh Cloud Hits to a sweet tasting
sipper of Quartz & Ceramic like DT's Matt & AVS owner developer of the Mole.
After this election I feel the USA will go legal & money & science will pour in and
the whole industry could radically change next year, with devices & materials, or Not.

I don't really care about the Sai's history of who ripped off what from who yada yada
I kinda gravitated towards VapeDonkeys Spirit of experimentation and having very
little resources got to play with many of other people's inventions & stuff.
I've gone the Gamant of Torch, Rig, Enail, All Quartz XVista Vape , Yocan Donuts,
Hot Butter Knife Hash , Water Bongs & Volcano Sai Taf ect... on & on
It's all an evolution & I am so glad to be Alive & well in Las Vegas, TY. :>)

Thanks to an Awesome soul who is generous with his time energy & knowledge
TY @Vapedonkey I really haven't used anyones standard vape for over a year
now. Been using Globe, Tubes combo atty's coils wrapped around buckets
(like mine enails) All glass mouth pieces with long stems or whips ect.
No heat or splatter to worry about & I can read all the numbers on my hugh
1.45 in color screen Espion 200 running Red Panda 8 preset slots

I have found the best for me & my style of flying is

1. Max Eagle Base atty
2. Glass Mouthpiece with straw
3. 3" to 8" Med gr Whip
4. Pinnacle Water Tool direct connect
5. D020 & my cheap easy whip connects
6. Ceramic & Quartz inserts dif heights & thickness
7.Max Eagle Base Heater TCR 0.00045 Ceramic plate Tungsten wire

Oppps there is actually no Sai parts used so I guess it's not a Sai?

I an in the process of making videos to show ease of use
and actual vapor output for input as all is seen clearly thru
glass from melt to vape quality ect... no smoke & mirrors

If I just want to take my .02 of diamonds & 94% oil drop combo
and Melt my face off, I can always go dark with a Crazy wasteful
but strong hitter in the Max Eagle BAF coil I got with a used Sai
& Pico on FC Classy "Kantral & Black Ceramic" hit it once
great hit 5 seconds went thru .05 nice but not me lol

I ordered a pair yesterday also, I had talked to the owner of AVS on Reddit a few weeks ago and expressed my opinion on exposed metal coils and he told me this quartz cup was coming, I'm very excited to try it.

I've been expressing for a while the idea that we have these ultra powerful box mods but not an atty that can even utilize a fraction of that power. Current bucket systems revert to ceramic plates which can't take enough power to heat up directly past the whispy vapor ramp up stage. The owner of AVS and I chatted very briefly on Reddit about this and when he said ~2-3 second full heat up time, I was instantly impressed. That's gonna make this a game changer device if it works as planned. I've personally went to a few wax pen manufacturers with my idea for a metal "plate heater" which would be durable enough to slam with power for fast heat ups, but nobody has taken much interest. This is the closest I've seen yet. I agree the price is very fair, if this is a solid quartz dab for $35 I'll be telling the moon!

Love the form factor too, looks like I can bust out my trusty Evic Basic again!

Yeah I did take a look at the Jetstream. The most interesting part of it is the top cap. It features 2 angled airflow "straws" to maximize airflow. It's the best wax pen top cap I've seen so far.

But I think the Molecule covers my RDA needs for right now. If you look at the ceramic deck on the Jetstream, there's two problems. The oil can easily leak through the post holes. And any oil that drops of the raised coils will never get vaped. That's the advantage of AVS's flattened coil and sealed dish.

The Molecule's biggest issue is the top cap. It's top airflow, and it works great. But it's pretty "basic". I'm interested to see what their new upgraded top cap looks like. It's supposed to create a "vortex" of vapor, which I assume means it's using angled airflow, like the Jet Stream. This will be particularly useful using the quartz inserts.

The color is strongly related to the age of the material, that material was about as fresh as possible for flower rosin when I squished it! One of my favorite flavors for sure!

I wish I had some to throw in the new Fabulous Sai Taf GC Awesome!!!
Both new toys hit at same time! Got the Sai Taf GC & the "Mole" with Quartz Cups. A stone cold winner!! Sai QC 1st try! Sai at same setting as Daltesean in Red Panda. 315 tcr 35 watts 380 hits great so smooth First try perfect, no reclaim & 3 hits off .01 live resin crystals - I'm in heaven. The Quartz Cups were sent with Mole just to play with, as creator is making new insert system. I can tell you they are same 10mm but about half the height. Just looking at the 2 of each as a sample. The shorter ones fit in the Sai , but going to probably make a spill over mess. Not sure how this all fits, but this is so easy, I'm hitting in 4 seconds as smooth as the QQ with no fuss or quirks SO FAR.
Film at 11.!!!
Have to wait for final Quartz Mole system to really be fair.
But I could see why they were scrapped, going to be a mess.

Nice! Still waiting on my molecule, tracking says Monday.... will surely need more live sauce by then :D
Very excited to see the new cup and coil heater, despite this little hiccup in the quartz crucible, the speed to market from AVS is very impressive.

Very impressive little unit. It fits perfect into my pinnacle water tool cool.
I can see from the side its not going to be easy to get those coils flat to
heat that tiny cup without it spilling over onto coils. Needs a redesign to
work, but I hear he has some good ideas about heating the sides of the cup.
I'll stick with it, but it's a ways behind the Sai in development time ,but can
be more in the long run. The Mole is delicate compared to the tank the Sai Taf
but I really like how small of a package it is sticking into the bottom of my PWT .
That will be the way I use this as a coil into the PWT, perfect fit into 14mm & gets
the mouth away from my lips . Can't wait till morning to try TC'ng these SS coils
that everyone's raving about., now that I know it goes right into water tool.

This Sai Taf QC got me so high off so little so smoothly.
This is a joy to use so far, hope I'm not dreaming.

I'm going to wait till morning when I'm clearer to set up this Mole correctly.
I don't want to join the many who cracked their base day one, lol.
Ready to hit in 3-4 seconds & a second press on AF and you can go full 30
seconds at 390 no coughing , like a low temp long dab.

This Sai Taf GC combo hits like a mini QQ, got to run a few grams thru it to
see if it leaks into bottom as the Ti Bucket never did, but you could screw the
Ti Skillet much tighter.

Well I got so damm fucking high on the Sai Taf QC and sme Sativa live resin that I
couldn't sleep, so I started on setting up the Mole. What a Night LOL Two for Two!!!
Stone cold winner, got it TCR#92 390 temp 18- 20wts hooked up to D020 & PWT
Also rigged up my Glass straw mouthpiece & the Quartz Bucket from the Sai and got decent hits, but can't get coils as flat as Sai's flat ceramic heater, so hard to just sip
at low temp like on Sai TC. But it works and I'm sure they even have a better design
in the works. Their Buckets they sent me to play with are too shallow & bubble over.
I can see why they decided not to release them, way below standard of the best ss coil
vape design yet, very nice, efficient & good tasting hits.
They are shorter than the Sai's by about half , but same thickness of walls and bottom.
Same as the Sai's which make them heat so quick. Very flat bottoms, not hard blow.
Very rare you get two awesome new products that both over preform & surpass expectations by a ton.

We're happy to announce that we've found a way to make the feature we've been keeping a secret. It required some out of the box thinking and we can't wait to introduce it to you!

The AFC will ship at the start of November! (The secret part required a mold which takes more time to make.)

As for the secret feature! We're introducing a revolutionary way to direct the air and vapor to create a vortex into the quartz bowl and all the way back out of the drip tip. The vapor will literally spin into your mouth. This does several things- by spinning the vapor it travels a longer distance in the same amount of time which cools it down without reducing the efficacy of your concentrate and makes for a much smoother inhale. It also will aid to dissipate heat from the Molecule RDA faster for you heavy hitters! The drip tip we include is part of this process but you're welcome to use any 510 drip tip! We still implement a short metal straw (not threaded for universal compatibility) to block direct heat contact with the drip tip as well! (Drip tip is the mouthpiece and there are a wide variety of 510 tips to choose from online.)

This technology is being borrowed from our upcoming, patent pending, Reactor RTA that we've been working on for our ecig customers for a very long time. We just now figured out how to do this part of the design after months of trying. You guys will get it first on the Molecule RDA!!

Dabratlabs dropped his Molecule review. Generally I enjoy his take on things. It's pretty clear he doesn't enjoy this product though. I disagree with most of his complaints.

It seems like he didn't enjoy:

1.) The restricted airflow. I don't notice this problem at all. I do think it should have adjustable airflow...hopefully their upgraded airflow top will be reasonably priced. That having said I think the stock airflow is great. I hate super restricted airflow too.

2.) He says the taste degrades over time, like all coils. That hasn't been my experience. When he took the cap off, the bowl was far messier than I've ever let mine get. I basically treat the Molecule like my Sai bucket. When I see reclaim starting to build up, I heat it a bit and swab out the whole dish, coil and all. My next hit tastes nice and clean.

3.) He wishes the device was held on with o-rings. I agree with him here. But Dabratlabs (I dunno his real name) is having an issue with the bottom threads sticking. I really have only noticed this once, and I could get it off pretty easily by pulling up when unscrewing. I think he was letting his device get dirtier than I do, causing the threads to stick.

4.) Back to the top cap... he says he gets a lot of splashback. I have noticed next to no splashback. Maybe it's a draw speed thing, but I've tried hitting it pretty hard. Also, I only load a popcorn kernel or less per load. I find I can do this 2-4 times before giving it a good q-tipping.

I've done 2 warm ISO baths to give the whole thing a deep clean. Followed by a dry burn. It cleans up very easily. Back when I was using the Sai Triple Titanium coils, it took a lot of work to get them clean. The Mole seems to get back to new after 15 minutes in ISO.

I then tested it with CBD isolate. It has a very light, neutral flavor so any carbon build up or metallic taste would come through. But nope. Tastes like a new coil, and I can't pick up any metal taste at all.

Color me shocked. A month ago if you told me I would be putting most of my concentrate on an exposed coil instead of a Sai bucket...I'd call you nuts.

My problem with Brent at DLS is the way he doesn't prepare for his reviews.
He is hit and miss and a wastefull slob, as I respect my stuff & product.
He is spoiled & thinks he knows way more than he acually knows.

I just put some olive oil on the 0-rings when I installed the Mole.
Just pull straight up and load from top takes a second.
The I got a sweet low profile black heatsink & screwed it down
like almost permanent tight, lol. Now I can move it from my Fav
Espion 200 Red Panda , who is in heaven with Sai Taf Quartz Crucible.
The Mole just needs a little battery like Evic Two Mini or Lavabox dna75m
If you saw my $1 silicone quick connect , it slips right over mouthpiece
and right up into PWT. Pinnacle Water Tool or the D020.
If air flow was restricted, it wouldn't pull thru water tool so well.

The Mole is awesome for a coil based portable vape & getting stronger
and more refined by it's awesome development team, Excelsior!!!

Till they figure it out and surpass the Sai, there is no comparison to the
New Sai TAF QC, so tasty & so easy to clean, TY Crossing.
The Best all around the house vape combo I ever had to play with.
Now I spend more time getting ripped then cleaning up preparing
to get ripped or after getting ripped, love no fuss smooth clean
taste of Quartz & live resins in the morning.
Can't wait to see AVS next innovation towards those Buckets.

Yeah, I did notice that. I think he's in NorCal and may have some kind of hookup with extractors. I pay for every gram I vape. True, a lot of my shatter is purchased in "bulk" at $20/gram, but I'm also buying sauce and the like for $40+ a gram. I tend to load quite conservatively. Somehow my tolerance is still quite low. I can't really "hang" with my combusting friends when they pass me a joint. One puff and I can't drive for an hour.

I still need to pick up a quartz Sai bucket. Do you notice the heat up time is longer than the Ti? Is there a big taste improvement over Ti? Do you get oil creeping up the bucket walls?
