Anybody know if the tubo wooden stems that are compatible with S&B dosing capsules work with the splinter? Might encourage me to try some concentrates :p

@AJS man, you make me want that FJ firmware just to play around with...but my cuboid will not accept the software from my mac and I cant figure out a work around/solution...

But I fucks with the splinter in wattage mode. My cuboid is old and beat up, and I have to take it to about 45w to get great performance, but also feel like I COULD go higher and be fine

I tried it on the Pico and realized it required much less power, so I figure a new mod is in the cards...but I hate the way the splinter looks when paired with a nano mod, so I have to keep an eye out for the perfect one.

Whatsup man, been a while since I've seen your posts, always happy to see.

If you like the looks of the mod I use it's pretty cheap I think, around $40 maybe? Or get like a little evic to run FJ. It's fun man, I love having cruise mode. The interface is real neat, I think FJ firmware is just great to have. It makes super long water rips very very consistent, whereas long Wattage rips feels like it's sorta constantly rising in temp like the Milaana. Great for dry hits tho that are naturally just shorter than water.

In the end, if I only had Wattage mode, I'd still feel extremely satisfied. I just like more to play with. Personally, it would take a lot for me to drop an extra $40 on a mod if I already had one, just for FJ. Luckily mine was a Christmas present. I see that dilemma in others. It's a tough choice, we recognize it's not necessary but a luxury and it's hard to justify. If this is your main vape and you chase optimal performance for long hits through water, it may be a good investment. If you aren't too picky and just want to try it and prefer dry, not sure it's too important. If you hate the 10-15 auto shutoff like I did, this is a great solution that feels extremely convenient in comparison. Having to double click at the 14 second mark to reset that timer removed the seamless usage of the vape. I don't want an extra thing to think about or teach friends, I want to press a button or double click and inhale and get vapor. That's one reason the Square can't be my daily driver, it's not consistent enough at its basic task.

If anyone wants, I can use Wattage through water / dry for a week straight and see if I miss cruise mode, or if I miss anything in particular about the usage style or function of it. I find myself going back and forth on it depending on what I'm seeking. I guess that's what I would miss the most, just the option to change.

P.S. I have an appointment with a medical mj doctor for the first time on Wednesday. My state offers herb pods that fit in their medical vaporizers. I'm really hoping this goes well, I don't want to feel like a criminal anymore. Also, if I get accepted, and their medical dosing vape isn't up to par, I'll get that shit straightened out and help them build a vape that really hits ;)

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help
This might be your last chance to support RBT and get one of his wonderful products:

10% OFF using the code: RBTCHINA

I still hope RBT stays in business. But without a doubt, he won't make it, if we don't spread the word.
Will support him til the end- whenever that will be.

Peace

Reading the email was devastating. RBT was ahead of it's time it appears, as the legalization movement continues, the businesses that plant themselves firmly set themselves up to be successful. I guess that is the gamble in these ambiguous times...

The codes do NOT work.

I think we should all keep our opinions about why RBT is in a bind to ourselves. No reason to kick a guy while he is down.

Best of luck, Ryan

Certainly not my intention to insinuate anything negative regarding Ryan.
Have nothing but positive things to say about him personally and RBT in general .
He unquestionably changed the game in a visionary way that is frankly immeasurable.

One of the saddest parts about this for me is that he was working on several projects that I'm sure many people besides myself were very excited for; now it'll take basically a miracle to save Ryan. Well, as they say," Don't be sad they're gone, be happy they were here!"

He is not gone yet. A surge in business could still save him. It is possible.
You want to help me come up with an RBT week of videos (or anyone else for that matter) I have the splinter review set up for this week or early next?

I finally have this surprise and shitty move behind me after today and I'm always down to help a friend...Ryan's a good dude!

...so basically ideals for content surrounding RBT that would be interesting or help steer folks to his vapes.

If you are referring to a Cuboid 200 you can find new ones online. I found one for $18.99.
Is it official or a knock off?

Good to see you too man! That medical program sounds dope. Hope it goes well.

Question...on the splinter it says not to heat it for over 30 continual seconds...have you done so, and if so, are you worried about potential damage to your unit?

I know you have been doing it for a while and probably have it sorted out, were you running FJ's Software on your realux?

Um...Not sure if I've heated over 30 secs. I've never counted and I hit as long as I can and I never think twice about it. Chances are I've gone over 30 sec. Personally I'm not concerned, but I also don't actually know how much this thing can take. So far so good!

Actually, I've definitely cruised mode before for like 2 minutes straight now that I think about it. That was some time ago though.

I know you have been doing it for a while and probably have it sorted out, were you running FJ's Software on your realux?
Yeah I run FJ on my rx2/3, been running it since Christmas, no issues.

I'm getting very wispy vapor even at this temp. Does this look right?

Sorry for the sideway pic, not sure why tinypic does that.

This is a big day of transparency and reckoning for Ryan.

He's trying to get and keep the Splinter in the marketplace long term. He might not make it.

IMHO the splinter is not only the best ... but the only good solution for vaping flower with a mod.

Think about that!

There's a market, surely. He may be too early to market, however inconceivable that seems.

Let's do our best to get the word out and ... buy out his inventory for starters!

I had a personal email from him today. I'm sure he'll get to each and every person who's reached out as soon as he can.

This is a first rate, upstanding guy, in the fight of his life.

I've just received my order from 420EDC. Everything fits perfect just like the stock stem, so no idea what this 19/19 - 19/22 confusion is.

Pictures of the fit

The black short stem inner diameter is too wide for screens to fit so plan to use with concentrate pad. They're selling them off cheap!

P.S. I hope Ryan can pull through - this vape can/should be in every Vapourists arsenal...

so no idea what this 19/19 - 19/22 confusion is.

Some people just may not be familiar with the joint nomenclature. Original Mi & Splinter female dimensions were 19/22......19mm wide with a 22mm depth. A 19/19 stem is because later Splinters have a 19mm wide by 19mm deep female. The little extra on the male joint of the stems in your pictures is the 3mm difference.

Thanks for the link to 420EDC short stems! Enjoy your Splintet (I love mine) and viva RBT!!!!
