Cannabis Hardware (formerly NewVape) FlowerPot Twax Vaporizer

Well, ran my FP SH last night back up to 640 for my bedtime load. As before, thick, thick vapor (I do use the cap...just like the capped performance).

At 640, while the vapor was not hot, it was a bit more irritating than at slightly lower temps so I think I'm going to drop back down to 600-620. I know its not much of a temp change, but it seemed to be smoother at that temp (but this is all subjective and I was stoned at the time! LOL).

Body stuck again in the glass but I'm sort of over that. When it cools down it comes free instantly and I just pick the whole drop down up with the body attached and empty it that way. The drop down actually gives me more distance from hot Ti when handling it, so no real problem. With that said, I'm wondering if the added complexity of the two part body that Edwyn showed is worth it?? Not sure but look forward to seeing it in action.

I'm still not willing to put the body directly into any hand made joints on my more expensive pieces...but I will use any of them with the FP with a drop down.

I like the new Ti carb cap but since I just bought a SS one, I will use it for a bit before upgrading.

I did get a scoop cap handle and am finding it of limited use as to use it as a scoop after hitting a bowl...well, the cap end is where you have to hold it and it gets hot. I just use another NV scoop that I have (I have a few of them, best and most useful scoop tool that I have found).

Cheers

I left my head on the body on the glass for three straight days on full blast as a test and while the concentrate condensate that eventually dripped down did a damn good job of gluing the body in place, with a *little* heat on the glass to soften the goo I was able to remove the body with zero issue.

I think the inability to take the bowl out right away is the universe telling me to take a fucking break already, enjoy the ride:

“No sympathy for the devil; keep that in mind. Buy the ticket, take the ride...and if it occasionally gets a little heavier than what you had in mind, well...maybe chalk it up to forced consciousness expansion: Tune in, freak out, get beaten.” -Raoul Duke

...which is all fine and good until you hear the faint call from your friend waiting to clear the FP body ...'it's my turn man...'

Not that I am even slightly qualified to comment here..but I agree @invertedisdead about the 2 part bowl (or more) seems a little complicated. I guess it depends how securely and consistently it fastens, and how easy it is to do so.
Im not a fan of things where there is wiggle room, or it is on your mind to keep checking it and tightening it.

Im forever doing up my shoelaces while out walking. I just like things to be firm, secure and in place. However I'm sure that Newvape know what they're doing and are perfectly capable of creating the optimal design in order to make it work.

While we are talking upgrades have you considered ceramic SH's yet? It seems like the next evolution.

I still think a machined semiconductor grade quartz like the Santa Cruz Shredder Omni nail would be amazing. End game vaporizer at that point.

It seems overly complicated to me.

I do like it, but I'd rather see something simpler. I guess I'm a firm believer in the "less is more" camp.
Yep, I'm in the KISS camp also.

I don't hear it anymore but the term 'elegant' used to be often in engineering and design areas to indicate achieving the function with with the least complexity....just simple and elegant.

But again, I'm willing to wait and see and I applaud @NewVape710 's commitment to constant product improvement including trying to solve the sticky body issue.

Cheers

Adventures in the Rumble Lows Part 1: The Dirty 560f -

Ignore 'milk', its exhales I like :) Same bowl I posted earlier, shitty flower and a biggish dab on top of the flower, convection style. Tiny bit of almost completely ineffectual reclaim scraped off the dabber at the start. Feeling brave so I went up to a whopping 560f!

Heavenly shit for me! :)

Adventures in the Rumble Lows Part 2: Thats Another 560f You've Gotten Me Into -

Had a little clean up and thought I'd try adding a little conduction dab to the mix, to see if my lungs could deal with it. Mostly they could. Mostly.

Adventures in the Rumble Lows Part 3: 560f Maniacs -

Last one. Still the same load in the bowl, just a tiny sprinkle of unvaped flower to top up and a dab up top in the dish. Finally caught a good shot of what I've been up too. Still at 560f.

Like the new Ti Shower Cap looks and function. It looks like another excellent piece from New Vape. Might need to pick up at the next NV sale.

That said, I am still in love with the OG Stainless Steel Shower Cap. The thirty angle degree hole and the domed inside surface show evidence of vortex air movement. About three days ago when I was cleaning my OG SS Shower Cap I noticed darker 'spun' pattern on the dome near the center that looked like it was formed by spinning vapor.

OG SS Shower Cap is an exceptional cap especially when I discovered the vortex movement I was even more pleased with this tool. I think this cap works amazingly well with the Shower Head.

Interesting and thanks for sharing. I do actually like the look of the OG Showercap, I think I prefer it actually to the new version. But I am more concerned with function, so for me if one simply works better than the other one, then I would go with that and not look back.

So it will be be interesting to see how they compare function wise as soon as reports start rolling In. I was thinking it is a shame that Vapefiend have probably stocked up for a while just before the release of the new Showercap.

But this really won't be a problem in time, I'm sure they will sell out and restock pretty fast, and who knows they might even start stocking the new app version before the old one is all sold out.

Than you should really enjoy the liquid pad , you definitely get vapor , it just does not come on as strong and carb capping helps allot. You'd also get a few more hits out of it as apposed to taking a dab straight to the dish and bc the temp is most likely allot lower the flavor was incredible when i had tried it. I think @anasrzi had wanted me to a do double dab using this method haha , one on the liquid pad and one on the dish.

Most certainly did @Justpassedu as I think double dabs would be amazing. I've only done a handful of double deckers so far with my flowerpot, got the SiC dish then the sapphire, then a different type of weed to try etc so I've not been as able to dial in as I would have liked.

Not a bad thing as I love to do trial and error while I'm playing around (more so trial than error, even when things go "wrong" I got medicated ;))

Nice work on the silicon stubby seals, I use a 14-18mm glass adapter on my stubby no need for handle that way. Are you going to be stocking those health stones @NewVape710 looks interesting.

Big kief loads is a total ticket to terp town! HEAVY STONE, too... :rip:

Dude, been experimenting with micro rosin dabs all day! :mmmm:

Tried the Mighty pad convection as well (710f) and very, very nice!!!

Yes certainly the reduced weight is the only selling point I am personally aware of yet, function wise.

You could insert a dab tool in the side or top too! And the fitment is supposed to be better and can also be used for wrap arounds!

Pretty awesome upgrades IMO and once we know what the generous upgrade discount is for previous cap customers i'm buying one for sure. Really starting to LOVE the SC itself!

Had my first DD!!!! Wow talk about awesome and unique flavour!

I'm noticing my glass joint is getting black from the Ti bowl stem and I can't get it clean, not that I care. It's pretty minor, but still something to consider. :2c:

Strange, not surprised just strange. I know that Ti scribes are used to mark glass.

The reason I think it is a little strange is I have been using my 18mm Ti male bowl and a 14mm Ti female bowl for a few months now and I have zero marks from the Ti on my glass. Just rechecked to make sure.

My piece is a cheap china glass piece but i've never seen the black mark before and the FP replaced my previous daily so no other variables have changed. TBH I haven't tried PBW or really even "tried" to remove it since it doesn't bother me whatsoever.

Okay Edywyn @NewVape710 ...been chatting with my buddy @Terpstar and thinking about the upgrades...

A SiC bowl and SH would get my money. I think that is where you should head. If you put the SH on the FP bowl you will notice it covers most of it. Glass won't really give us the eye candy we want. Unless I'm wrong, but if your intention is a glass Flowerpot that mimics the current one you might see a minor amount of action if you are not the one hitting it. Glass will only really offer us better taste.

SiC tastes better and is built to last. The more I think about this the more I'm no longer interested in a glass bowl. UNLESS you can design one we can watch like pervs. :haw:

Build it and they will come. I went set aside money now....

It's incredible how much the FP shows the quality of your flower! I've been on an outdoor/greenhouse bender lately (love quality sunkissed buds!) and it's been great with the FP landing in the middle of it all. Some incredibly tasty moments of coarse shred with lighter clouds, and some finer grind with denser clouds.

But it was time to bust out the quality indoor and what a different in vapour and cloud production!

This is 0.1g of Hempstar, at 740f. ABV perfect medium brown! Enjoy the glass of milk!

That's what I'm vaping on @biohacker clean green certified organic greenhouse grown. It's all I buy. I think the organic + greenhouse really gets the cultivars to express themselves 100%! Most of the strains I gravitate towards generally give the best yields on resin, lots of vapor! Shout out to TGA Genetics and Subcool. Love damn near every cultivar I've tried and they have a real focus on terps + resin.

Just had two 1/3 bowls and wow, what a rush, this is my after work first bake. Really efficient today at 660F, vaped it out completely. I haven't moved my temps up to 670F for the day as I really liked what 660F brought.

Edwyn,
What is the story on this? Looks like it might be a perfect 3-Piece grinder! :o

Can we see a photo of the inside of the collection chamber? Is it curved for easy finger pinching and scooping? Is it spacious and easy to unscrew? :)

Most important... will you be selling them on the NewVape website?

Thanks for the little insight into the new Showercap's advantages. I knew there were some othere beside the weight. Newvape sure don't make changes for no reason. I expect I will make sure to get the new revision, which could mean waiting for Vapefiend to get them in most likely, or a separate order from Newvape (which could happen anyway depending on UK options). Time will tell!

Maybe similar to the Herbo Ti heater which was blackening the joints on the bubblers I used as a stand. It actually washed off my D-020 d? (damn- can never remember it's correct name).
But I stopped using that bubbler to hold the heater when I saw it happening.

I still like that bubbler you are using by the way. I hope to grab it myself, I want something a little bigger than the D-????.

Unless you have some more recommendations before then, I am all ears. So little experience I have with differrent glass pieces, and can't afford to buy things only to fnd out I don't like them.

I have long held off actually looking for a better bubbler I like because I havent known still where my vape quest will end. If the Flowerpot works for me, not only will I be very happy, I think I would sell my XL Herbo. I have kind of gone off it really, been seeking an upgrade for some time.

This is a relic from the past. Pictured here is a coarse. The teeth were just not perfected yet.
Trust me it looks better than it performed. We learned that fine grinding will never be finer than the passages thru to the multi stage. Hence the current 2 - piece.

Here's the TI showercap-2 upgrade for existing showercap customers. This offer will expire 10-28.
Cap only no dabber. I've been told it feels to light for a NV part and might be perceived as a cheap import. Well it's light because it's titanium and it's what the FC forum asked for.

I'm definitely interested in machining quartz. I've researched this for over a year and can't find anyone to help me implement. Tooling vendors, cnc sales people, seems no one east of the mississippi knows anything about machineable quartz. Is the quartz in some kind of a green state that must be fired or polished post machining. I've purchased some samples from GE and have no idea where to start. There's no youtube videos out there that I've found. If this is being done on traditional metal cutting cnc machines there keeping it close to the chest. Perhaps someone reading this might shed some light or be available for consulting.

Thanks Edwyn - just placed an order. Not sure why as my SS showercap is only a coupe of weeks old, but I do like it and the price is right.
