I finally got a chance to use it and I'm really happy with it. I didn't get a chance to do a side-by-side with my junior, I only had enough for 2 bowls and I wanted to do them both in the runt.

I totally noticed the reducer's effect on the hits. I had to try really hard to push it, turn up the flame, move closer, and slow my draw. I actually didn't realize it was in there at first, for the last hit I tried to push it a little and it "resisted" seems like a weird word but it kind of felt that way. I was surprised at how little wood taste I got for a first use, maybe that's just the purple heart.

I was going to say it's less harsh then my junior, but I haven't tried a junior with a restrictor thing in it. I did 2 mostly filled bowls and it really didn't bother my throat at all. I'm not sure if that's the bigger size, bigger glass, or disc. When I get more flower I think I'll try without the restrictor in there. Maybe get weird and swap the junior and runt mp's.

Beautiful wood!!!
Do you mind trying your Jr. with the new mouthpiece and letting us now how it compares to the Runt in harshness. I can't decide between the Runt and the Jr. w/ the new mouth piece. I prefer the form factor of the Jr. but not if it's still more harsh even with the new mouthpiece. Thank you!!

Ok, let me begin by saying that lots of people on here have collections that make me jealous. @StormyPinkness just made me jealous with three pieces. Wow, they look great together, and I'm extra jealous of your Runt. I want my first Sticky Brick to be a runt. I even love the name. The Runt has a dull sheen compared to the others, a very rustic feel that matches my other wooden devices. But boy do I wish I had your collection. lol

@WAM90 I'll try to remember, bug me if I don't. Though I don't think the cap will fit on the junior anymore if you use the runt glass.

I'm not sure if it was the @WAM90 or @Diggy Smalls post that made me think of this:
Thank you!
Yeah I'm not worried about the Runt mouthpiece not fitting. I'd use it that way while at home and then use the Jr. mouth piece when I'm out.

How much difference is there in chamber volume/height to the sbj? - same diameter means S&B caps work too?

To me the runt mp definitely helped. With my junior it can feel a little harsh in the back of my throat sometimes, the runt mp seemed to really help with that. A junior with a runt mp for around the house is a great option. Though the glass is a little tall, you push it down much further into the runt body, you can see the junior mp sinks all the way in with room to spare. Actually forgot to try my runt with the junior mp in it...

Though I prefer the bowl on the runt to the junior. The junior has a ledge (I think to place the screen higher) and I prefer the runts bowl. Stuff can get stuck on the ledge and it just makes the bowl feel bigger, smoother, and to me it seems like air would travel through better. Though @Used2use I think they are actually the same size. It might be hard to tell in the picture, but the angled edge in the runt is way closer to the top of the bowl then the ledge on the junior. It makes it seem bigger, but again I think it's the same diameter. If the runts bowl is deeper it's not enough for me to tell without measuring.

@StickyBricks could say for sure about the size though.

Thanks so much, that's really helpful! I definitely prefer the look of the Runt bowl and can see that the new mouthpiece is a little big for the Jr. Good to know that it is still a good option though. Thanks again Stormy

thanks for the nice pics @StormyPinkness that angled edge should indeed improve the flow - have u removed the screen yet? is there a similar ledge to the sbj under the screen? imo the most 'suboptimal' ;) flow part...but on the other hand stirring is part of the fun
I haven't touched the screen yet, I'll check it out this weekend sometime when I'm using it. Maybe give a quick wax too while I'm working on it.

Just received the Runt+Mini bubbler.
Tried the Runt with the restrictor disk in it and it is way easier to have a big cloud without the risk of burning the herb.
The long mouthpiece is a must have.
Guys, buy it even for your Junior, it's perfect!
Will post pictures later and report my bubbler experience asap, i have to go for now.

Yeah, haven't had a ton of testing time on the Runt yet but my first impressions are that it's easier to use than the Jr (I took the disc out after the first bowl and still think that's the case) and the longer mp is obviously great, extra smooth, much easier to monitor vapor production.

So the Runt is home! And the mini bubbler too.

First thing to notice, the Runt is taller and a little larger than the Junior (by the names i expected the Runt to be the smallest one).

The mini bubbler fits in both as advertised, i use it mainly with the Junior. It really smoothes further the vape, so i'd recommend to use it with strong strains (when you are used to the heavy hitter the Junior is, that little bubbler really tames it and you don't recognise your sometimes harsh little Junior)

The big improvement regards the long mouthpiece, with both it really eases the process (especially if you are a farsighted person):

The taste is really smoother and you can really see what you are doing, with the vapour coming up the tube.

One thing i noticed with the restrictor disc is that beyond its efficiency (you can't burn the herb, or you really have to do it intentionally) you now feel the heat from the carb hole and that regulates your draw and distance of the lighter.

Aesthetically i love the fractal burn on that Black Limba wood, it reminds me of some cherry paintings by Van Gogh and some Japanese artists

You can see that the burn mark really runs deep sometimes (and i wonder if in the long run it won't damage the piece) but it's really a stunning piece and most of the time you would say it is skilfully penciled on the wood

SneakyPete (if i recall well) talked about some issue that may occur with OCD people as the Runt isn't as square and blocky as the Junior.
The Runt is a little bit more wobbly but when you have it in hand it is perfectly fine (even if as you can see on the last pic it can sometimes not be perfectly even but you just put your thumb on it and voilà! )
and the new opening system allows you to check your bowl in a wink, so in the end it's a great innovation.
Thank you again StickyBrickLabs for your comprehension (it was a pleasure talking to you on Instagram ;) ) and those great devices!

Now that's some of a kind of Runt style, @hopla!
Also the mini bubbler has a style on its own! Want one!
I just ordered a Walnut Runt from Azarius; also Vaposhop has The Runt in stock now! The Runt has landed in Europe!!!
:nod::tup::peace:
I love it! the fractal burn on the Black Limba has a stunning visual effect.
the long mouthpiece is a whole new experience.
The mini bubbler is what i wanted for some time now (even before they made it available on the market), and it's truly a perfect bubbler:
if you want big harsh hits you keep the 'short' original mouthpiece, and when you want something smooth as silk you use the bubbler.
My StickyBricks devices are my favourites one, you won't be disappointed ;)

My walnut Runt came in yesterday! It sure is a beauty! Still getting used to it, it's my first butane vape. The first thing I notice is the great flavor. Not really getting a wood taste, so to me it's great!

Have some q's...
I can't combust easily. I scorched the herb pretty well, but only a center spot. That was one time. I thought this was an easy vape to combust in so I'm a little surprised.

OK OK, I'm fully aware that I DO NOT want to combust. I'm experimenting with technique and so I'm testing where the limit is on combustion. I see where this point is and then I know where the max is.

So, I'm not able to combust!! Here's what I've done thus far:
set inner torch to about 1/2" and it appears the outer flame is 1" (next test will to increase flame)
due to zero restriction I was drawing too fast, i've slowed this down considerably to allow hot air to accumulate
i've tried a small amount covering the screen
ive tried a large amount up to the taper/bevel to further accumulate hot air
i've got the torch edge resting/angled basically on the lip of the inlet
i've got the carb closed 100% of the time
double checked that no restrictor disk is installed
i checked each sides seal by blowing and covering up the holes
abv is light golden in color with a tint of green

strange request, but please help me combust!! lol. More accurately, it's please help me find a close to max setting which yields in dark brown abv. From here I can taper off to my liking and have a truly enjoyable vape. To be honest, it's already a fun vape!! Just wanting to get better temp control.

Merry Christmas all!

edit: I think I figured it out- flame size. I bumped it up to 1.25" (I was probably around .75" above) and now getting a thick cloud on the first hit with the flame still very close to the inlet. Still experimenting in case this was just randomly successful.
