Where are good glass distributors?

Ok, I admit it. I have a problem. :( I cant stop collecting. I just got a couple of ssv's, and now I think it may be time to add some glass. Is anyone picking them up online, and if so, where thru? Some of the tubes that I've seen pics of in other threads look awesome... Any recommendations would be appreciated. I really like the looks of some of the Roor glass, but man are they expensive and I'm sure as shit gonna break it eventually so I kinda dont want to spend 300+. Thanks.

The only thing i dont like about that site (everyonedoesit) is when you back browse it wont let you get out. Just a pet hate of mine when sites do that. Always makes me question why do they do it.

Other than that there are some things i would consider buying from there, however they need to stop that back browser thing.

Back browse? You mean using the 'back button' on the tool bar? I have no problem on EDIT if that's what you mean.

Yes, maybe they only do it to the uk people.

This actually is probably the best site for vaps in the uk so i know it inside out. (however i am ordering better vaps from US imo)

This site for me from day one has stoppped me back browsing out of it. However today when i say, i can suddenly back browse out of both .com and .co.uk.

Am now putting on my tinfoil hat. :tinfoil:

So currently I have about a one-footer HVY glass water pipe with downstem diffusor. I really like the draw/pull it has. However i've been looking at some of these pics on this forum and now RooR has me quite intrigued. I seem to prefer water pipes on the smaller scale, that is to say less then 2 foot. In any event, i'm looking at this piece:

First off, I hope posting links like the above doesn't go against site rules. Secondly, can any of you give your opinions on this piece? Listed at 35cm (approx 13.7inches tall) seems to be right about the size I prefer. Does it come with a diffused down-stem as well, it seems like it does but i'm not sure.

What are your opinion's on ordering from everyonedoesit? I live in the states and I understand they have both a .com and a .co.uk site. If I order this RooR piece from the .com website, my RooR still is made in Germany correct? Stupid question I know, but just wanted to confirm.

RooR is good if overpriced and that's a good size. I'm sure you'll like it. I doubt it comes with a diffused down-stem. This being RooR everything is expensive as hell and they'll nickle and dime you for such a luxury as a diffused down stem ;)

I do believe they are german RooRs yes. Have had no problem with EDIT and I've ordered multiple times. Just make sure you don't cheap out on shipping. The .co.uk site is for people in the UK , everyone else gets routed to the .com site.

Well, I just got back from my lunch break and decided to go down to my local shop in costa mesa, One World. They had a nice little 1 footer RooR w/ Yellow imprint, ice catcher, and came with a diffused downstem (the slotted kind). I was able to get it out the door for $230. I feel that I got a good deal as websites for the same model charge that price, plus shipping and plus tax. As far as the downstem, not sure if this is an actual RooR downstem as it doesn't specify RooR on it. Can anyone chime in on this?

fuck roor. All it is, is a symmetrically straight GONG tube that is shady as all hell. You walked out the door paying how much!?!?! :o

you could have gotten an itza standup bubbler for 250-300, a stoneglassworks waffle perc for 300, or hell even a SG 4 arm fixed tube for around 300 shipped.


What kind of diffuser is it? Just a hole on the bottom? or does it have slits on it.

I can tell you didn't get the roor de. diffuser tho...that sucks

Aaah man, way to take the wind out of my sails. I don't see how I got ripped when EDIT sells this same piece for the same price, plus I'd have to pay tax and shipping. You are correct, I didn't get the roor german diffuser as it doesn't have it stamped on the downstem. But yes, it is a diffuser and has the slits on it with a small hole in the very center. I know that RooR doesn't have much if at all any "work" on it. I didn't get it for the "work", but for the preciseness of the piece. It really is beautiful. Oh well.

I still combust on occasion, and when I do I like glass. I'd love to find a spoon similar to the Illadelph that was discussed in another FC thread. It has a built in screen.

Problem is it's nearly impossible to find an Illadelph. I would think the built in screen is a good enough idea that one of the stellar glass makers listed in this thread would create such a device.

Obviously since none of us "need" to combust very often, we can be pickier about our glass. That's clear from the links that have been posted. Very nice stuff.

I only have a couple of bubblers that I've purchased over the past few years, since I "quit" smoking. They're from the Bern Gallery in Burlington, VT. I don't believe that they sell anything online (they have Myspace and Facebook sites), but the artists there are truly top notch.

Nothing's cheap, and most everything is a bubbler rather than a bong, but I've been extremely happy. So, if you're in town, stop by. It's all made by people that really care about their work.

When I want to smoke something bigger, I'll use one of my hookahs (but only with tobacco). I like passing the hookah one way around the room, and the Volcano bag the other...that's how to have a party, especially when you happen to be at the convergence of the two.

they have glass on their site if you do a search for it. I think they are a US company and afraid to advertise on the first page. I bought a fuji vaporizer from there this morning and stumbled on their glass. i would email them after you order too. I emailed them after because i thought it was sketchy, but they emailed me right back and threw in some freebies and 5% off..

I wish someone else would tell me if they ever ordered from here or not. they seem pretty legit.

You can search around on www.etsy.com for some private artists that make some really nice stuff, you can even get most of them to do custom jobs for you which is nice. It always shocks me when I see people spend $300 to $1000 on a Roor when they can have a one of a kind piece from a local artist with a name, a straight tube with no percs is gonna hit just about the same from most any brand.

one thing that aqualabtechnoligies has is titanium screens in standard .5 .75 and 1 inch sizing. i wonder how a titanium screen in a whip vape would compair to a stainless steel one??

Ooh, now I want to know too. Not sure you'd taste the difference with a whip, but I'm thinking on a GonG setup it might be really nice.
