What to do with an old 18650?

Hi everyone,
I have a few 18650 batteries in old vaping devices that I haven't used in the last 3-4 years.
I'm afraid they will burst inside the drawer one day and kill me or burn my house down:rofl:
Is it safe to use them? They were inside the devices this all time.

They'll probably have a lot less charge, but should work still. If they dont, recycle them. Most brick and mortar vape shops in the states will take old batteries and will bring them in to be recycled. Not sure about up here in Canada though lol they shouldnt blow up or anything though. Unless theyre around heat or an open flame. Now, correct this if im wrong though.

I dunno if you have a charger but most chargers that have a screen to show the charge will test the capacity for you
When they get old and saggy we bag them up and either put them on top of our recycling bins or drop them in a special bin at some supermarkets and recycling centres, in the UK
