I was at a MMJ farmer's market today... sitting in the lounge, listening to the music, and looking around.

I'd run into a former co-worker.
Got some great meds from a grower we trust.
Had a dixie cup of juiced cannabis.
Didn't win the raffle drawings.

Most of the people there, well, if I saw them at the grocery store, I would never imagine they use MJ. Especially my favorite grower - hell, they look like an "Amway couple" - and nearly everyone was using, and were very functional. Smile a lot, but functional.

Most people have no clue how many people are helped by MJ. I never did.

It's a beautiful thing that brings people all of different types of upbringings, cultures, and beliefs, into one setting, and they can all relate and love. Whenever I am at a Cannabis event it feels like utopia, a place where all are one, and all are happy. It melts my heart.

I gotta make it up to WA to go to one of those Farmers Markets!

We are on the threshold of a new era in the U.S. With the 70s generation becoming senior citizens the population's morals are a changin, and it seems to be happening fast, not fast enough for some of us.

There are a lot of unknowns yet to be known here in Washington. It's an exciting time in the long history of cannabis use here in Washington and Colorado, and I hope soon other states. I'll have to agree with macbill there's a lot of stony folks here in Washington, i will second to that.

Been buying cannabis on the down low for about 35 years, it will take a lot of getting used to, going to a store to buy my herb. With what i see on the news about Colorado running out of weed i hope that the good folks here are taking some notes. They need to plan on a lot of out of state shoppers.

I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.

Vapor lounges are sprouting up in Washington state. Bars are setting aside separate building space for vapor lounges for members only. A separate facility for smoking or vaping cannabis. It can't be part of the bar, it can't be in public. So folks pay a fee to be part of a type of a members only club to smoke or vape cannabis. That can't sell alcohol or sell any cannabis related equipment.

A friend of mine said she went to one in Seattle , they also served food of course, natural drinks, Essprsso, no cannabis infused food. All those hungry customers after vaping or smoking. Lights were low, and a lot of laughing going on, she said. She paid a $50.00 yearly membership fee. She said they had a good time.

What's it called, @Pinnacle Pro? The vapor lounge set-ups that I'm familiar with are part of a dispensary/access point. Most of em lack the ambiance that would make me want to linger for very long.
They were at Stonegate Pizza in Tacoma, a couple months or so ago, they had a separate facility in the back upstairs and Frankie's Tavern in Olympia, they also have a members only club. She had paid a fee at Frankie's Tavern. There is the Volcano Vapor Lounge in Olympia, folks are able to vape, some are vaping reg herb and some are vaping cannabis, they are not suppose to, but it happens all the time. Police are trying to crack down on public cannabis smoking or vaping.

She said they were at Have a Heart Cafe in the University District in Seattle and it was a Medical Cannabis facility with a restaurant. Her friend had a medical marijuana card but she didn't, my friend was able to vape. My friend said there's Hookah Bars/Lounges in Seattle where they are trying to crack down, and not allow cannabis use, but people still do it.

WA state legislature is trying to crack down the the vaping lounges that are trying to allow cannabis it looks like.

Places and facilities are trying to get around the law if they can. I've noticed just the area where I live I smell people smoking cannabis in parking lots and parks more open lately since the passing of the rec. cannabis law. There are too many folks doing it for the police to keep up with. Most of the time I hear they just give a warning no ticket or anything.

LOL. This could change the whole dynamics of the restaurant industry. It used to be that the "real" 'money that restaurants made was from their bar. Lots more profit in the drinks than the food. But now, with the legalization of cannabis, the food sales could go through the roof and they could surpass the bar profits on sheer volume alone.

"The Washington Office of Financial Management estimated that residents were consuming about 85 metric tons of marijuana." The actuality, they've learned, is that the number is closer to 175 metric tons. Maybe other states will act when they see evidence of the goldmine potential brought by legalization?

I need to see CAs consumption. We have a much larger population.

Marijuana would be our biggest cash crop.

Any of you Washingtonians pay a visit to a recreational dispensary yet? I'm planning a visit to Colorado this year just for that experience alone. MMJ is on the Florida ballot in November and I'm hoping later on we can get recreational use legalized as well.

No recreational dispensary's in WA yet....I believe they begin in June...don't quote me on 'June' though. Still a lot of details to work through and learning from Colorado.

Shut up Florida you have a chance for MMJ. I doubt we'll see anything here in NC for a while.

We have a chance but realistically I don't think it is going to get passed. Florida is ultra conservative except for the 3 counties that make up South Florida.

I have heard there are folks that have been in prison for a long time for small amounts of mj possession in Florida. It would be scary to live in Florida IMO. It may be the same for some of the other very conservative states.

I think it depends on the cop. Years ago in my brazen days I was caught with a little less than two grams and I received a "paper arrest". I wasn't taken to jail but I had to go to court and a misdemeanor possession charge was on my record (expunged and sealed now). This traumatized me to the point that I dont ever want to go to court for anything.

My friend was pulled over for tints on his car and he also happened to have a quarter of really stinky bud in the car. The cop gave him a summons and that was that.

My cousin got pulled over being solo in the HOV lane and was taken to jail for 4 blunt roaches in his ashtray.

Yeah, FL sucks.
