Time to launch the one and only . . . . . ​

Well folks, we need y'all to go hunting!​

O.k, so here’s what will happen:


Over the next few weeks, and starting from today I will be posting a clue every other day in this thread which (with a little detective work) will hopefully lead you to a visible object, thing or image that can be found somewhere within ONE of MY many indulgent snaps located somewhere in the main Zion thread.


Now, this object or image may be staring you straight in the face from the foreground, or more likely it is hiding or lurking in the background, but wherever it is, you can be sure that it is in there somewhere!


To take part you must search my photographs from top to bottom and find the answers to all of the clues that I give out over the coming weeks. Once you have located the mystery item, drop me a PM detailing the answer, and the number of the post in which it was found (if there is more than one photo in a post please provide additional detail such as '3rd photo down').

To kick things off, I'm gonna be gentle and take you all back to a time which is close to my humble Zion beginnings. To a time when our Johnny was but a twinkle in my eye . . . .

Hey delloy :)

It's probably best if you PM me with each answer as soon as you have it. That way, if your answer is incorrect, you just might get a 2nd chance as I will do my best to notify all members who provide me with an answer that is wrong. Then they can try again :)

Just thought I'd drop by and see how y'all are doing. Is anyone having difficulties with the first clue?

If you are struggling, try looking at some of the very first photos I posted in the Zion thread . . . there may not even be a Zion in sight!

Yes, great difficulty here.
Scrolled thru the first ten pages of Zion thread and found maybe one picture and a couple videos that can no longer be accessed.

Am I on the right track at all?

That's not a silly question at all @virtualpurple.

So just to be clear:
  • The pictures you need to look at will only be in the main Zion thread.
  • The item/object etc. that you are searching for will only be in photos that I have taken myself and posted in the Zion thread.
  • It does not include videos.
Does that help to make things a bit easier at all @MinnBobber? You don't need to search through everybody's posts.

I hope it does help. But if you have any other questions then please ask away!

Btw, sorry for the delay on the clue for the second mystery object - it will be coming later today :tup:

Our Johnny fancies himself as a bit of a Beach Boy . . . . I guess it's not surprising really, he is made inside (outside) U.S.A. ;)

Indeed that does make it much simpler to search through the posts. Question for VnV, will we be able to submit answers for previous clues once the next clue is out? I'm not 100% sure I can sit down and figure this one out in the next couple days. Busy weekend, y'know?

Yes, it is only VegNVape posts, and is only pictures that he has taken himself, so youtube videos are off limits, thankfully, because watching through all of those could get pretty exhausting.

A couple of points . . .

  • You can submit answers for any of the clues, at any time, for the entire duration of the contest.
  • Objects are ONLY located in posts made by me which contain photographs that I have taken. Objects will not appear in YouTube video. I have not shot any video.
Sorry you are having trouble @MinnBobber - check all the clues carefully is all I can really advise. And btw, the object for clue#1 is located in one of the earliest posts I made in the Zion thread, which also contained a photo that I had taken.

And as for mystery object#2 . . . . Both the Beach Boys and The Tornadoes released tracks relating to this item ;)

Well done to all those who have already submitted correct answers & good luck to everyone still on the hunt!

I don't want people stressing, this is all just meant to be a bit of fun, so please take it easy out there folks!
