Very best 510 battery?

Ramahs

Fucking Combustion (mostly) Since February 2017
I have a Yocan UNI Pro and Kodo Pro and would recommend the latter for $15.

^ I've been pretty satisfied with these two for the last couple of years.
And I don't want anything that's auto-draw! I don't like them at all :puke:

OP - any update on what you purchased and how it is/they are working?

Thanks for this thread. I am also looking at additional 510 batteries and share some of the same goals and reservations. I am loving the Kodo Pro, and as time passes (and is wasted comparing other options), I keep asking myself, "why are you trying to change something that works pretty well?"

In my mind, it would be nice to have other options. I've looked at some of the ones above, but I'm hoping for good VV (especially for rosin), no or minimal clogging (I've had zero problems with the Kodo Pro), and ideally - one that totally hides the cart (for stealth). However, I'm also a fan of things that are well made, so the Vessel offerings are really intriguing to me (for home use), but I'm on the fence about any that appear to *require* a proprietary charging base - and the description that they "fit most" 510 carts.

Off to do more research.

I can help you out as I have the Kodo Pro and Vessel Compass Rise!

The Compass Rise definitely has premium feel and heft to it being that it is made of mainly metal.

Pros: Stealth and build construction / Cons: cannot turn off preheat feature unless you one touch it off during the process

Kodo Pro

Pros: Variable voltage down to 1.8V / Cons: exposed cartridge and very light plastic construction

I love my Kodo Pro and it is significantly cheaper. Probably would recommend going that route unless stealth is more important.

I use a Yocan Zika Pro, particularly out and about. Very stealth. not the biggest fan of auto draw but never had an issue yet. Nice little screen. I use a Yocan Koda Plus sometimes but wish it went lower than 2.4. I just take a shorter hit.

I have a couple vessels including the og compass and they are much better than any others I’ve used I main use my craftsman and you can often get them with a ice discount
I just today got my Craftsman (and some other goodies). It looks and feels awesome. I’ve yet to try it (it’s still charging).

Maybe (!) I’m crazy, but don’t the aesthetics/looks get ruined by putting a white tipped cart in it? Definitely makes it less subtle (not that I would put it in my dress shirt breast pocket).

I suppose so, not really to me since it’s not much we can do about cart aesthetics

Kodo Pro will be my pick up at some point, I'm still using the original Kodo and UniTwist

The plus zodiac appears to be more than double the battery capacity of the pro? Does it also help write ciphers?

Kidding aside that's kind of insane to me because 400mah battery is plenty for my use but it doesn't look like it's noticably bigger in size.

I guess that is why they call it Kodo Plus, was not even paying attention to that this time lol the zodiac edition has more voltage setting options however so it is like the Pro

My only wish is for there to be a way to lock the voltage on these things. I run my kodo pro at the lowest voltage always but sometimes it gets cranked up in my pocket and I always know right after I finish my hit because it slaps me in the face. Doesn't happen often and honestly when it does I always kind of laugh. Luckily I haven't scorched any of the wicks on my cart in recent memory when this happens.

Oh darn I guess that's a problem with the one button operation and no lock screen.. never have that problem with my regular kodo, though last time it was in my pocket it did accidentally seem to get pressed... Need to use the lock features more
