Vaping Stems?

So I ran out of MJ a couple of days ago and having a TON of extra stems laying around, I had an idea to grind up stems and try using it in my vape. I chucked a handful of stems in the grinder and actually came out with a lot of kief through the kief screen as well as in the bowl itself.

I threw some of it in the bowl and vaped it at highest temperature and it gave me a good two bag fulls.. I'm starting to think that I may be able to use all my stems in this way, but I don't know if that's pushing the boundaries of what I should be doing with a vape.

Has anyone tried this before? I gotta say it was effective, but I don't want to be inhaling tiny splinters or what not >.>

don't worry about splinters unless your seeing a lot going through the screen, using water filtration would take away this threat if it existed at all, or even bubbling it through water held in your mouth and swallowing, glad this works for you though

Yeah I used to run stems through my old easyvape. didn't grind em, though, just kinda stacked 3 in the bowl.

All the time. Save all the stems from high quality weed in a freezer bag, and when you have a ton,, run them through a grinder, stick the whole ground material in a sifter in the freezer, and in an hour shake and collect kief. You can also vape the ground stems, and it might be worth it, depending on quality.

i save my stems like abv. prolly got close to 100 g's of stems/leaf too

i like it for cooking, but maybe i will soak and make a tincture this time. the hard candy thread has my attention.

but yeah there is totally good stuff to be found on the stems too!

I mean do you vape really small stems like as big around as a toothpick or smaller. Or do you save it for BHO later. Just curious as to which is more efficient /healthy.

wow I thought stems contained hardly any goodness? How "effective" is the high compared to bud?
