If you like to look up, go outside and.............look up. Meteor shower !!

"One of the most flamboyant meteor showers will rain shooting stars Sunday night, lighting up the night sky for up to 2 seconds at a time.

And lucky for everyone, the Geminid meteor shower will be visible in both the northern and southern hemispheres, NASA said. Many of the bright arcs can be seen for 1-2 seconds each."

If it would only quit raining long enough to see it.. We have had rain for the last 61/70 days here. Still beats droughts and fires though...

Right now, if I look up, I'll drown.

The one thing I've always loved about Winter is the stargazing.

or a peacock.

They are just as stupid. Also, chickens bred for meat production. They drown themselves freely. I lost almost half a flock in the first friggin' week!

I had a small bit of farm, back when I lived in the North, where it is always Winter, and Winter is Coming....

Now I just have a neat indoor grow tent, some Thyme, Lavender, Italian Parsley, and some other herbs under a bright light... :)

I do kinda miss the stars. It's not that easy to get a clear night in Winter here.

Part 1. Ken Burns’ illuminating 2011 study of the relationship between society and alcohol is a sobering one – at least in the respect that our policies and attitudes on this subject have been both wildly inconsistent and depressingly familiar. Comparing the temperance movement and the repeal of Prohibition to today’s drug wars and sporadic legalization of marijuana is an even more obvious leap today than when this documentary premiered a few years ago. It’s repeated in weekly installments, and returns next Tuesday.
