Discontinued ThermoVape Revolution for concentrates

I vaped about a gram of blond og wax through the sticky and it works fine.

It had a funky taste the first time, but the thermovape tasted the same the first hit.

So far, I am impressed with the sticky, now only if I could order more. Seems they sold out since I mentioned it.

Let my coworker borrow my sticky pen this morning, he LOVES it and offered me money for it, I said no until I can order more.

I guess 'duds' are common with atomizers, luck may be a part.

I already have the tenergery 14500/18650 charger, i believe it was purchased directly from thermovape. Wll that work with the 17670 batteries or would i need a seperate charger?

That should work fine, I assume it's the WF-188? Just be sure the switches are right and dive in.

That's crazy. I've never heard of a production item staying structurally the same yet increasing in price every year.

You obviously don't own firearms. Or fine jewelery. Or similar items where material costs and workmanship dominate.

The technology is not likely to become obsolete, and if it does, sales will simply end, there's now conventional free market mechanism to lower the price in that event, save purging stock at a loss.

I too have jumped ship to the cheapies but I'm finding my atty's are lasting quite a while longer than most give them credit for, and at least with the SWB I can boil it clean. I think that TV is going to have a run for their money against their latest generation of competition.

Add me to the list OF - not sure why the thread has been closed, or what others were doing with theirs, but I have been using these units as well for great effect.

So, aside from being cheaper (and eventually dieing) do you find them superior in either taste or production? Those testimonials seem to be what's lacking?

Is there a difference in using the TV battery base opposed to ego style batteries?

I noticed the TV rev top screws on to my ego twist variable volt and it heats up.

Twist pen gets 4.8 volts while TV battery goes 3 volts?

Yes and no. Losses in TV supplies are extremely low, which is why the outperform D9 supplies head to head for instance. Yes you can overcome the losses with more power (even exceed them) with boost schemes like your Twist. BTW your Twist may say 4.8 Volts on the dial, but it stalls out about 4.2 and never goes any higher.....yes, I've measured mine.

I own both firearms and am a custom knife collector. Jewelry is another matter as fine jewelry is also always custom. I am talking about something that is a regular production item. I've never heard of Smith & Wesson announcing a price hike and upping the price of .38 spl Bodygaurd by specific percentages over a specific time span. I will admit that I am not a business major, but it just sounds strange.

Im not sure about WF-188. I got it second hand when i got the ultra...the boxsays Tenergy 18650/14500 1A Li-ion Batter charger and thats it. Its black, has 2 bays and two metal prongs for the bottom of the battery that slide up and down...

Also is it okay to leave the batteries in the charger once theyre charged or could that damage them? Ive found myself putting them on the charger and passing out or forgetting its still plugged in...

Not too familiar with firearms but I would assume the price might increase and you may not realize it. Like thermovape said its only a 2%-5% increase at the most when its going to happen. A 2% increase on a $500 dollar firearm is only $10 dollars...

Also like they mentioned somehwere(dont remember where) but a lot of companies will release a new product at an inflated price initally so they can keep it at that price in the future or even lower it. Thermovape is doing the opposite...

Firearms are an extremely bad example right now because while prices coming out of factories may be staying the same, dealers, stores, and websites are jacking prices. Usually, regular production firearms stay at about the same prices, but I've never noticed a steady price increase.

Superior in taste? No, not really. But they are on par with the vapor I get from the Rev. They definitely produce more vapor in a given period of time though. Although, they do come in two resistances. I have been using the 1.6 ohm one exclusively since I got it but I imagine the 2.2 ohm one gives off less vapor in one hit.

After perhaps two weeks worth of use I ISO soak and boil it clean so that should be taken into consideration for the taste staying consistent.

I know it will probably die on me eventually, but as it stands right now a single atomizer has lasted me an entire month and a half of daily driving. I was not expecting this and I am quite impressed by their performance.

You just jinxed yourself! Its gonna die any day now... Every time i would use my MicroG for about a month of constant use I would say to myself wow maybe I finally got a cartridge that can last, then next time i load it its dead...

I do agree with your assesment of vapor production. I would take 5 second hits and no heat up time as opposed to the 5 second warm up+10 second hit with the TV. But I just cant see myself going back. If i spend any more money on cartridges my MicroG will surpass my ultra/darts in price

I don't agree. I think most fine jewelery is at best semi custom. We sell a whole lot of nice wedding rings 'off the rack' (or out of the tray in this case) for every serious custom. Tiffany and Co has display cases full of lovely ready to sell stuff, not an order desk. I just don't want to include cheap stuff in a discussion where (again) material and direct labor costs are the major parts of something that doesn't degrade as soon as it leaves the showroom.

Best go check the MSRP on the real Bodyguard (m38) over time, the new one is a new one. It's more than doubled in the last 20 years or so, and one could argue the quality has gone down some? Or look at something like the 1911 with a long history in the market. Same gun, same design, same materials. Or the price of ARs, not just in the last year, but from the days when Colts were under $400. Good guns hold their value like good jewelery in general. They're often a sound investment in fact?

My point is things that don't change in design and are well made of quality materials tend to rise in retail price with inflation, not drop like computers and similar stuff where technology plays a changing role.

Or bicycles? Some prices go up.

Yeah just look at the vapexhale cloud. Its been out for about a year now. Initially the hydratube packages were $450. Now all you get is the cloud and a glass straw. With hydratube packages being anywhere from $100-200 more than they were a year ago. (Granted theres better hydra tube options, but still) and some would argue that the quality of the cloud has decreased with blemished/poorly assembled units being sent out

Here is how I see it:
MicroG/710/SWB/Trippy/etc = Questionable materials, China, cheap made = cheap priced
Thermo Essence Technologies = Quality materials, Made in USA, Priced very competitively in its "field"(compare to Persei, Omicron)
Don't cry if you can't find good paying jobs America, all the while buying cheap China crap.

I was of the same opinion at one point. That all of these cheap hash pens must all be shit. Then I got to try one. They aren't all bad. Most of them are. But some of them are actually worthwhile.

I'm about quality as well.

I'm a chef. Knives are very important for me.

However, if one knife company starts charging too much, guess what? Some other company will offer the same steel, geometry of steel, and finish for a fraction Of the price.

Does a $5000 sashimi knife perform better than a $500 sashimi knife from a lesser known company?

Not really.

Maybe I'm making a bad example because I'm tired and just hit my swb

Why can't Thermovape make a quick heat up ceramic?

Why can't thermovape make a wax burner that makes near instant vapor like everyone else?

Why do I have to 'master' the thermovape to work correctly?

I suspect they could make the same thing as everyone else does, I sure don't presume to say that they can't. Seems to me that they choose to do what they do......likely for the reasons they say. One might ask it the other way around, 'why is nobody but TV making gear like that?'. There, I think, the answer might be because they can't. For sure they don't, few if any try (although they are counterfeited......something you don't find with the other offerings?).

It seems pretty obvious to me that the technology needed to rip parts out of cheap e-cig carts and put wax directly on hot Nichrome is an easy one to get into.

For some reason, important to at least some of us, they seem to be obsessed with making it the best they can, not the most profitable. Again, some of us appreciate that (and will pay more for it) I think.

You don't have to learn to use their products as designed, as you yourself have pointed out many times there are alternatives. If, however, you wish to use any tool it seems reasonable to me that you learn to use it correctly or pass?

There is, perhaps, a clue in this very forum. This one, fairly obscure and obsolete TV product has an active thread over 3000 posts long, your preferred product has one that was shut down (for some reason?) with less than fifty...... We have other TV threads active, and I expect more over time, something I think nobody is expecting from Wax Burner?

Welcome to the rough and tumble world of free enterprise. TV enjoys a loyal customer base they built through dedication, clear vision, best material science and sound decisions. Backed by excellent Customer Service (another apparent shortcoming for the competition?). Their competition hopes to get as much of your money as possible while they can. We all benefit from the increased choices in the marketplace. Ain't that grand?

So, used Revolutions and DARTs are selling today for more than when they were new. What's the value of a used Wax Burner?

Don't cry if you can't find good paying jobs America, all the while buying cheap China crap.

What's the old bumper sticker? "Hungry? Eat your import"?

Humor aside, that has real value to many of us for sure. Thanks for the reminder.

Why isn't everything free? I've asked this for over half a century but no one gives me the answer I want.

Why doesn't McDonald's serve steak and lobster or paint cars?
Why do I have to drink liquids? I'm not a big fan.. Gonna stop eating too until Ferrari make a medical grade vape for $29 and stops making fine cars in order to please me.
Why can't every company make garbage vapes out of possible unsafe materials? $29 usd is gonna get you a medical grade Ferrari for sure!
Why do some quality vapes take operator skill and learning to operate correctly? Why do people never recognize the limits and capabilities of a vape? Why do they use the wrong concentrates, insist on improper operation while 50 others tell them exactly what is wrong but it's the vape MFG at fault? Why do people buy vapes that require any reading to use? How do they figure out how to charge the batteries or clean it?
Why do people love to complain so much when the world doesn't spin in the direction they want?

Maybe I can figure these out before I die. Maybe not... It brings back too many child raising experiences.

P.S. The World does indeed revolve around me. It's in the manual but manuals and advice are just soooo lame!
P.s.s. My Darts work 100%. Huge clouds if I want them, small if I don't. How is that possible?

I better call Italy and ask ferrari if my vape is done and needs no operational skills to work. Or I might buy a Yugo and just complain a lot. :p

So, when you have your own restaurant will you serve me some USDA select (maybe some cutter or canner grade) beef and tell me its good as USDA Prime or some Wagyu/Kobe? Hey, a filet is a filet, am I right?

The brilliance in this post is sky high!

I've had numerous people get dissapointed while first trying out my Dart, and everytime I explain the technique at least twice. They usually give up and say this G pen is way better.....thats some false shit right there.
Today I had the task of cleaning my Dart and upon reassembling after everything was well enough dry, I thought to myself; I should use my Dart until the battery dies in my 510 batt.

Which I did, and after I was Thorughly set, I noticed BLACK left over oil seeping out of the air holes near the threads. I remember a fellow reporting this a few pages back (may be more than a few) and I'm now wondering if I should skip the ISO part first and just get the Revolution Dart HOT by Vaping for a few minutes with NO newly added oil.
Afterwards dropping it in boiling water and THEN use the ISO to get in the nooks and crannies? Havent tried this yet but my mission is to eliminate that black sludge oil hiding under my ceramic disk in the Revolution.

For sure that happens a lot. Too often, one might say? IMO it's their loss.

It's a bit like riding a horse I think. You can do some amazing things, go about as fast (or slow) and far as you want, in almost any style you can imagine.....but you have to ride it like a horse, not a tractor. Meet Revolution/DART on it's terms and it'll take you places. I think the turning point is when you first produce just the hit you want on purpose. You shift from being constrained to being in control. You can take the horse wherever and however you wish from then on. Until folks get that first success, and learn the secret, they can easily revert.

Getting the insides clean is a much discussed topic of the past. I'm not sure we ever came up with a routine that fits all cases since it depends so very much on what you're using and how jammed it is. At one point we were getting great results with ultrasonic cleaners, but then a set of experiments showed that was casing some of the heater coils to break from the vibrations over time.

The problem is flushing the junk out. After softening it up and getting it dissolved enough to flush of course, often not easy either. Perhaps the best scheme came from none less than Pipes himself. Tie a knot in the center of a foot or a little less soft Silicone hose, put some ISO in one end, plug in the Revolution/DART, add a bit more ISO to the other side and plug the other end in there. So the tube forms a ring like a bracelet with a knot in the middle blocking the ISO. Now crush first one side then the other, 'pumping' the ISO through the cart. I messed around with standing the cart on end with a funnel full of ISO above it connected by a bit of hose, but it didn't work near as well as Pipe's trick. Do it in the sink and be careful, it's possible to pop the tube off the cart....

I've come to the realization that my threading on the LV Dart has recessed inwards a little!!!???
Has this happened to anyone? * think its because of the style of my Vape-Pen Battery but I'm not sure. As this was the cause of oil seeping through. It wasnt through the air holes. It was coming out between the Threads and the Darts body that houses the heating element.
anyone else have this problem?

. IMO after learning what the DART/Rev can handle, the only real learning curve is learning how to preheat it before you take a hit. The first time i tried letting a friend use it i said hold it on for 10 seconds then begin to inhale. Literally two seconds after using it they tried taking a hit and thought it sucked. Now When i use my dart with people that have never used it before i hold it on and take a hit for myself, then keep holding it and pass it along and tell the person to keep it engaged. Ive done this with a bunch of friends that love my microG. After using the Dart, none of them seem to care/remember/ask about the microG it always "hey did you bring your Dart over" now!

Im not saying the microG or sticky/other pens are crap. When i used the microG i felt pretty confident that it wasnt using any unsafe materials(however I cant be positive) on the other hand i KNOW that my Dart has the best quality materials being used. IMO other manufactures design their cartridges/atomizers to fail. That way they can sell their products for a lower price initially and then sucker you in when you have to buy a new cart every month or so. Making a cheap pen quite an expensive investment.

It's possible, but doesn't sound like it is.

The weakest link if you jam the button up is the PTFE ("Teflon") button under it. If you jam it up too hard it actually blocks those vents (I got a rebuild on a Beta unit that had this). In my case it just didn't 'draw right' for me so I took a careful look and the holes were about half blocked. I could see a slight difference between that cart and a different one that 'drew' better. I took it back and Tim tried to save the heater. But the pin is crimped on very close and he ended up rewinding it a couple of times....it was a test core, right? It wasn't a matter of 'in range', he had an exact target to hit again. I don't think he was really as happy about the visit as he said he was.

Overfilling will lead to flooding which comes out the two holes ideally. Well not ideal, but if you do it..... Best practice is to keep it on the light side load wise (I add .05 or a bit more at a time, a paper match head's worth?). It works faster and tastes better that way, and leaks less of course.

To get it back where it belongs I like to use gravity. It's cheap and handy around here. When I tire of it I'll lay it on it's side, maybe even nose down a bit. Normally the vents are at the bottom, if there's a drop of oil pooled up, I want it somewhere else. Making down up seems logical, just making down somewhere else makes the oil shift some. Once the vents are free, it's usually easy to keep 'em inn working order.

Good luck with it, it's a great little unit, it just takes some understanding.....which is of course rewarded many fold.

Upon further inspection, I barely noticed my Darts lower threaded body is slightly crooked on one side due to my 510 batts threading. its compatable to 510 although there are more threads on the batt. compared to the Dart.
In turn I've somehow managed to bend the threaded body just a little so when its upright the threaded body stands erect, but the metal tube containing the heating element is higher on one side and lower on the other.
really bummed about this. It hasnt hindered performance, more of a cosmetic issue. :(

I like my revolution, I just the sticky wax burner more. Don't be mad about it, just preference.

I just don't see thermovape as a 'best of the best' yet, though they are Showing potential.

But if they start to act like 'apple' and charge extreme prices because they can, they're not going to see a single more cent from me.

What's the verdict on putting ABV BHO into a revolution? I just ordered a Rev., I want to start making my own BHO, and I think making ABV BHO oil first is a prudent avenue to explore, before I use 'the good stuff'.

I would expect it to foul it up pretty quick. ABV oil is not something I'd want on my nail even. If anything I'd just purge it clean and use it for edibles instead, but that's just me.

The main reason I wanted to make it was to refine my BHO making skills, but if it's garbage oil I might reconsider making it.

Is homemade BHO my best option for the Rev in a non-medical state?
