Rosin vape pen feels weird on my tongue and throat. Is that to be expected?

I don't normally use vape pens since for many reasons I prefer flower or dabbing with the pockety if using concentrates.

I live in a legal state, and I got a deal at a licensed dispo for a free ROSIN (not resin) deposable vape pen because of all the other stuff I bought. It is the first time I have ever tried ROSIN in a vape pen, and had only ever tried the distillate type in a cartridge. It tastes quite good, and the effects are good. But even just 2-3 hits off of this thing and the entire inside of my mouth and my throat feel weird. Like there is some kind of film or grease stuck all over.

Is that normal for a ROSIN vape pen? I have never had that happen with the standard vape carts, nor with flower or dabs of ROSIN using other devices.

I was thinking that ROSIN is kind of an oil, so it could just be that sticking to the inside of my mouth, but it seems weird that other forms of delivery don't have a similar result.

And that's a problem with the pen, thing, disposable, probably getting a lot of oil in your mouth due to its poor design is all (or other features with it, perhaps even the oil, who knows with a thing like that for sure)
