Hi Everyone,

I've spent hours already reading through these forums and I've come to the conclusion that I need advice specific to my situation.

I'm looking to spend under $200 and want a simple, easy to use, beginner vaporizer. There are so many models and so many reviews that I find it impossible to make an educated decision with my current level of knowledge.

Any recommendations (including where the vaporizer can be purchased) would be fantastic. Links to other forum posts with discussions about specific models would also be great.

Thanks!

Edit: I'm looking for something for home use only.

modnote: Your questions have been discussed multiple times in Ask FC. This is also where this should have been posted. Read the sticky threads.

Since my preference has always been for whip-style vapes, and your price range is under $200, I'd have to say the Da Buddha (try vapeworld.com with promo code FC2010 and that should bring it to under $200) or maybe the vapor bros (never used one but i've heard good things, but i prefer the DBV's bowl angle and aluminum casing and more visible element and air path). Whip style vapes deliver big, smooth hits. Difficulty of use isnt very high, i learned all i needed to know from the DBV thread on the forums here and Tokin's "1 gram challenge" in one evening. By the time my DBV got here i was already familiar with using it and was getting great hits from the get-go. I owned a DBV for about 6 months and loved it. Only reason i sold it was to get the similar, but more expensive, silver surfer, which is made by the same company (if your price range was about $40-50 high, i'd definitely recommend it the most, without a doubt)

A lot of ppl around here would recommend the Purple Days though, or similar set-temp wood-encased vapes maybe, since theres always a long waiting list for the PD. They have smaller bowls and are supposed to be pretty efficient, but i've never used one so i can't say if its any easier to use or if it gives as big of hits.

Bag vapes are probably the "easiest" to use, but your price limit excludes the decent ones. A lot of ppl i know who have owned bag vapes like them at first because of how idiot-proof sucking on a bag can be (great for parties), but find the usage of bags to be a hassle after a while, and the hits to be not as good as some form of direct inhalation. There are a few vapes that do bag and whip hits, but i'm a firm believer in the phrase "jack of all trades, ace of none"

I wouldnt worry about ease of usage tho really when making your vape decision. Pretty much all vapes have a slight learning curve, but more than likely you'll have it figured out the first day you get it, so i'd focus more on other things. To me, what matters most is health-safety (which all vapes you'll find recommend here by regular members will more than likely be),hit consistency (smoothness and thickness, where whips excel), and efficiency (how much you can get out of X amount of herb as well as being able to collect any built-up THC so it's not lost - again, whips=wandhash :ko:)

Wand hash is a great perk. I will miss it when I have to give back the Hot Box that I borrowed. I'm actually considering also buying a whip type vape in addition to my others when I have saved up some cash. I've gone a little crazy with all this. It's hard for a gal to decide. Much easier to get one of each! :brow:

Yeah, i'm sure, much to my g/fs dismay, it's only a matter of time before I own one of every type as well, even a bag-style.
