Soon my AI will be able to call Delta's AI and they will sort out how much I'm willing to pay!

Joke's on Delta then. I'm going to start buying up used GPU's to run my own local Large Language Model. I will build the most annoying customer in the history of mankind.

We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic Karen🤖🙎‍♀️. More stubborn...annoying...angrier....

BYD's main American competitor would be Tesla. I'm sorry but BYD claps their butt cheeks on every available metric.
If BYD would limit their focus to only killing Tesla (not a book title, I swear!), I might be able to live with that. But they wouldn't, of course, nor would I expect them to. So, really, since every marque (worldwide) is heavily invested in electrics, *everyone else* is BYDs main competition. As you know, China plays the (very) long game.

I think of it kind of like the struggle to keep Asian carp out of the great lakes (they're practically at the mouth of lake Michigan now), but I digress.

Finishing follow-up on the quote... I think *everyone* claps Tesla's ass on interiors. That minimalist shit doesn't play anywhere, IMO. Not at the price of new cars today. People expect more -- WAY more. (edit 2: not just interiors, to your larger point; I just stopped at interiors, but F&F, crashworthiness, etc., etc.)

Back when Tesla had the only ball in the electric game, you played with them, or you stuck with the old, 'boring' ICE cars. So they got ALL that early market share. But, now, *everyone* has a ball. And they're all nice & luxed-up shiny, with names that have 50-100 years of weight & reputation behind them (btw, don't jump on 'reputation', when I'm speaking in the larger context. We KNOW there's a lot of shitty cars of all makes out there. ;)

(on edit: I'll admit I'm very passionate about things automotive / mechanical)
