conduction or convection
It is dependent on each delivery system.
While I have a couple of pure convection vapes that everyone tells me that they can smell, most of them are less aromatic than the majority
of my conduction vapes (all of these being portables)
Convection Vapes that have a detectable aroma:
  • Herbalizer
  • Volcano
  • Tafée Bowle
Conduction Vapes that people can detect by the scent:
  • Iolite
  • Pax
I am sure I am missing some.
Also please note that on a couple of the more aromatic vapes, I have, as I am sure others have found usage methods that minimize
the obvious odor of Marijuana.
I am grateful that I am old enough now as well as free from governmental observation to not to care who smells my herbal involvement.

Willie Stargell 1979 FTW!!!

Please note me loving the above post has absolutely no bearing on anything or anyone and I still love every poster who posts here!!! :)
Did something happen concerning Willie? I know the Cobra (Parker) died last week, just before he was set to go to the HOF. Shitty deal, indeed. :(
(on edit: Stargell died in '01. D'oh on me) :(

Loved those late 70's-early 80's Pirates. From the caps, to Stargell waving that bat rhythmically (timing), which was something I emulated.

"We are family!" Yeah... good times.

I must be one of the few who didn't like the quasi 'home run derby' settling the ASG. Thought it was cheap / tacky. Just let it end in a tie; it's an exhibition, and fans of the various teams can say "my league is as good as the other", for that event.

Of course, it's all homogenized now, down to the DH, so 'NL' and 'AL' are like NFL conferences now, signifying nothing.

I've been driven out of this thread and the "Important news" thread by my stress levels being driven way higher than I am willing to accept for a cannabis forum. It's just not important enough for me to get the other information that I was enjoying.

I was thinking about this just the other day. There is interesting research about happiness and knowledge about the world's problems, especially if you are a compassionate person. Essentially people with left-leaning politics tend to be less happy on average than conservative people. Probably a lot of reasons for this, but I suspect it is mostly awareness of the suffering our systems cause.

However the more important point is that getting involved seems to restore this happiness. That is activists, despite the problems in activism, tend to be happier by all objective measures.

Sarah Stein Lubrano put this pretty well recently:

Here is a video that covers some of that for the impatient:

Anyway I try to use this as a reminder that I can get involved more in my community and causes that I care about.

(I wrote a long winded paragraph about my own work and decided it was a lot of annoying unhelpful detail 😄).

Not gonna dox myself given the current environment. But going to a protest and seeing how many people agree with you enough to get out of their homes and risk having chemical weapons (that their tax dollars paid for) used on them is a life-affirming experience. There are millions of decent people out there.

I don't think cheating on your spouse is good. But something about this story rubs be the wrong way. I think it's the "social media surveillance state" aspect. The government didn't even need to make their own panopticon. We did it for them :disgust:

I know you're not talking about me specifically, but I apologize for my part in flooding the forums the past few days.

As someone else mentioned, 65-70% of their written posts failed to make the cut. That used to be about my ratio, too. Now it's reversed, but I'm working on restoring it.

Ps: just an fyi... I'll be messaging you, on a totally different subject.

I would guess that I delete nearly 70% of what I write before posting. And I may never have or at least rarely have posted a first draft. But I try to never disrespect someone else with my post whether I agree with them or not. I'm sure there have been occasional exceptions to that, but that is my rule. I think we should all show consideration and respect for each other as a matter of policy. But I can't make anyone else do it. And there are some users who post in here that probably couldn't even spell consideration or respect, let alone apply it to their posts. And it doesn't slow their posting down one little bit. Some may think that's a rude thing for me to say, but I can live with that. And accept the consequences should there be any.

The Wall Street Journal (same parent company as Fox News) just released a new story about Trump's relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. It features a letter Trump wrote Epstein for his 50th birthday.

There were some very funny convos around these parts recently about how no other type of economy or government can match the "innovation" of America.

Literally the only reason America still has a car industry is our big gubernment defies the infallible free market and bans the import of Communist Chinese vehicles

That's a cute trick (leaping), but it might be better in a 4x4 truck / off road / ATV, rather than a sports car, where I (and most drivers) want all four wheels on the ground 100% of the time. Of course, the trucks, etc., probably couldn't build enough speed to 'leap'.

It's said that one of the key indicators of a country's economic health is their auto manufacturing sector (and whether they have one).
Given that, I'd like to see a healthy (some might say 'captive' -?) US auto industry. Personally, I wouldn't buy a BYD, as I wouldn't have trust in it, like, say, the Hondas I've driven / ridden for good chunks of my motoring life.

In this use case, I compare Chinese auto manufacturing to Walmart -- get in a market, undercut the hell out of the competition, and drive them out. Not that they would try this exclusively in the US -- Toyota and Volkswagen AG are extremely vested in keeping BYD and others out of as many world markets as they can.

On a somewhat related note: I was on the 'main drag' of my area the other day, and what did I see across from the light, in my 22-year-old pickup?
A Cybertruck, on a car carrier. I made a point of opening the window, pointing at it, and laughing as loudly as I could to ensure people noticed what I was laughing at. "Way to go, Elon!"

Damn, those things are ugly. Apparently, it's the one Tesla that had Elon's heavy hand in the exterior design (as opposed to the other models, which had other principal designers).

Honda's Japanese though. BYD's main American competitor would be Tesla. I'm sorry but BYD claps their butt cheeks on every available metric. Look up the interiors on them vs the cheap looking MuskMobiles. And it's true, the Chinese government subsidizes BYD, but the American and Californian governments did the same thing with Tesla.

Also just want to say... I don't really have a problem with the gubernment protecting American jobs with trade protectionism. But I'm not a free market fundamentalist. I don't even believe the "free market" exists or could ever exist.

Meanwhile, this is what American innovation looks like:

Love your subtle Colbert 'meanwhile' nod!:brow: (I hate that dried up old routine, btw)

Meanwhile, earlier today I read and posted about Google's AI can now make phone calls, on your behalf, to (select types of) businesses, inquiries about their pricing, goods, scheduling, etc.

Soon my AI will be able to call Delta's AI and they will sort out how much I'm willing to pay! Life only continues to get easier!
