Powering PID w/ 100amp battery/1500w inverter

Wanted to see if anyone has any experience with running a PID off an inverter drawing from a 100amp hr battery charged via solar…

I do a significant amount of off road/camping but I’d rather not go without my ball vape set up. My PID is a RDK-300. If there is a more efficient PID out there that would be better for my situation I’d be open to buying something if it will be worth it in the long run.

It may be an easier path to build/buy a 12v PID and coil setup than using/carrying an inverter
Cannabis Hardware did a portable 12v tailgate edition and still have coils for sale on their site and I think Auber still make a 12v PID

I completely understand and get where you’re coming from but I already have the inverter, battery, and solar panel installed in my Jeep. I do a lot of camping and I like to be able to drain my solar battery instead of using my jeep’s battery…

If you already have all the equipment, you should just try it! It's not particularly power hungry and if your inverter correctly powered other items I see no reason it won't work with the pid!
