Portable Torch Vape Recommendation

looking for suggestions on a portable torch powered vape.

Want something that is in between the DynaVap and Vestratto tornado for chamber size.
As hard hitting as a TM2
Plan to use both native and with water
Hybrid or conduction heavy
Vapor that isn’t uncomfortable hot with stem

Would like something that is available or easier to get which eliminates a tempest.

Was looking at the anvil but with all the portable ball vapes now wasn’t sure if there was something better.

Dani Fusion 2.0 is a great hybrid vape which I personally think has the best vapor profile that I have tried. Very balanced and, depending on how you heat it, there is a lot of ability to tailor the experience.

Bowl size is approx 0.18 but it works just as well not fully filling it. I have the metal stem which I really like and probably offers the most cooling but stems also available in wood.

Another option would be the Camouflet Convector XL but it is a convection vape but hits hard like the TM2, which is also convection. No click but fast heat up and similar bowl size to the Dani Fusion 2.0 (you don't want to fully fill this one for best results).

For a budget option you cannot go wrong with the Vaphit X. No click but easy to get the timing on the Quartz cap. You can also use DynaVap caps on it if you want a click but this does come slightly at the expense of flavor. Bowl size is similar to the other two.

No need for adaptors for any of these vapes as the stems all fit 14mm female joints and work really well through water

Sounds to me like the Tornado would definitely be worth a try, especially since you were considering an Anvil. The Tornado is the successor to the Anvil. It is the hardest hitting TED I have encountered although I've not tried a Fusion but hear good things. I have a CeramoXL on order and the titanium Convector XL (CXL) seems to get a lot of praise as well.

The Tornado can deliver a massive hit and it has a very hybrid signature with a ton of conduction yet somehow it can also deliver bright tasty convection taste at the same time. I would say the signature is variable depending on how it's heated. I've had great results with the Wand and I marvel at these new TEDs like the Tornado and Convector which can achieve one hit extractions of large bowls (>0.2g) in 20sec or less with only a Wand. You can imagine the short heat times with a good torch or a powerful IH like the Inductor (3 sec approx).

The second atomizer stage of the Tornado does seem to condition the vapor and make it smoother going down. At the moment it requires a 3rd party adapter (from @ScruffyWoofers) to connect it to an 8 or 9mm stem but I've tried it on a long Dani Rosewood and it's great. Thick but smooth vapor, and quite tasty. Otherwise used as a WPA it'll milk up anything you've got that I could imagine.

If the only issue with the tempest is availability, why wouldn't you just go for the thermal accumulator? Last I knew those were still fairly readily available and from vgoodiez too?? Only one I have though

I seen the thermal accumulator but found the four options confusing on VGoodiEZ between the TA1 through TA4. Also doesn’t have a dedicated stem for it which was another thing.

If you can search, and find the TA thread, it is broken out pretty clearly there. I'd be surprised if VG didn't have the same write-up to explain the differences though? If you reach out to him he could explain it himself as well... I would go for the TA3 as that is the one I went for lol unless you want to change balls, easier, then that's for the TA4 comes in

Also doesn’t have a dedicated stem for it which was another thing.

I mean it can take any standard stem, so I don't think that's anything to worry about? You can get whatever you might like to go with it... I just use mine on a dynavap glass WPA with hooks like sherlock puffing

I did think of the TA but the OP said portable torch powered vape. The TA needs a large torch as it has much a greater thermal mass than the others I mentioned. This doesn't really make it so portable as you can't put a large torch in your pocket.

Also as mentioned it doesn't include a stem. I struggled to find a affordable, readily available stem that can be also used on a waterpiece. A lot of the Dynavap stems get too hot for use with it unless you are willing to spend a bit. It's a great vape but I don't think it meets many of the listed criteria.

Well personally I wouldn't use any of these portably myself, but it definitely can be done as some people do? I haven't tried them but induction heaters seem much better than a torch regardless even if more to carry, I'm just not there anymore with my own use

As I mentioned, it works with most, there are a lot of good options that are not expensive easily available... I posted the link to mine in that thread, I think it was under $30, direct from China. There are plenty of stems available aside from the WPA too, I prefer a smaller compact WPA, and would probably want a longer stem, but not a fan of a straight stem experience, I will try it again though as I have a long spike glass one... Hooks are just so nice to use with it

I took portability to mean it fits in a pocket with a small torch. I have taken all of those I mentioned around to a friend's place or out on a hike. Admittedly you do need to be careful with the Vaphit X quartz caps, which can break.

All the vapes come with a stem that won't break easily and perform well. Of course it's hard to beat a nice j hook but I find they are fragile to be carrying around so I limit use to at home.

You can also use an induction heater with the Convector XL and Dani Fusion 2.0 if you get one further down the line. The Convector XL with the wand is particularly great with really fast heat up times.
