Portable, electronic sipper vape for a user with no tolerance.

Hi!

I am currently searching for a vape which I can use while going for a walk or hiking, or to use as a sipper at home. I also have a Woodwynd, tempest and a ruby twist Ballvape. But sometimes I just want to take a lot of little puffs over the timeframe of an hour and that is just not really possible with these devices in the way I want it. I only vape around 0.05g in one session, that is enough to get me high. I also only use weed like twice a week. I prefer a balanced profile of taste and vapour. Neither a cloud chaser nor a terpene chaser. Efficiency does not matter because I grow my own weed.

Also, while the Woodwynd is kinda portable with a lighter, using that setup in public can be kinda sketchy. At home I have the wand but Woodwynd+wand is not portable enough.

My budget is around 150€. I am also in the EU. Some devices I am considering are the xmax v3 pro (60€), or the Wolkenkraft versions of the potv one (100€) and lobo (130€). I also considered the Angus enhanced but it seems quite big and I dislike having to transport the glass mouthpiece separately. Same for the solo 3.

I also thought about waiting for the yllvape aerolite. What are your thoughts?

Those options sound pretty decent! I’d probably lean towards the lobo or v3 pro for replaceable batteries, or a rogue style device for a larger built in battery than the Fury/One. Would probably not recommend the aerolite yet since it’s still unreleased and first gen products always seem to have some hiccups, but does seem like a promising device once they get the kinks worked out.

Other options:
- Firewood 9: my usual choice for walks. My usual dose is 0.05 - 0.075g and it works for up to 0.2g. Downside is it’s about 2x the cost of others (also potentially difficult to get in the EU), but might be worth looking on EntExchange to see if anyone is selling theirs in your budget range since the 10 is coming out soon.

- Vapman: requires a torch which reduces portability, but it’s tiny, is great for microdosing and heats up very quickly (~5-10s for first heatup, 3s for additional). The device is manufactured in Italy now I believe?

I get about 15-18 decent hits from the Vapman on 0.05g. I'd suggest (over the course of an hour) 5 mini sessions, each with 3 hits, each hit preceded by a 3 second heat up. By the 3rd hit you'll be getting a small cloud. Get the Vapman lighter and you'll be set for a lifetime (no replacement batteries needed). It's up to you.
I used to have an HR Rogue btw, and ditched that some time ago.

The vapman is no solution sadly. I want a sipper which also is portable and can be used in public. That is why I said "Also, while the Woodwynd is kinda portable with a lighter, using that setup in public can be kinda sketchy".

I guess my mistake was thinking about the sipper I use in public both indoors (eg bars, bus stations, chip shop queues) and out (woodland, seaside, in the smoking area outside magistrates courts) in the wetter and windier parts of the British Isles. I never use my dynavaps in public inside or out, and find out deeply problematic, because of wind conditions and impact of cold weather on the way the tips heat. I can only speak from experience, as can you. Best of luck with your quest.

I say get the V3 pro!
It's cheap, has replaceable batteries and has a very decent on demand mode. Good for tempstepping or for spreading a bowl over a longer session/multiple puffs.
Has a good, fast heater, extracts good, can be a sipper or a ripper, also pretty stealthy...
It's what you are looking for! :brow:
Kidding aside: Imo it's really an awesome vape, especially for that price... (it's actually underpriced i feel)
Personally like it better than the wolkenkraft (had the Aris) tbh, it's more versatile for sure.

You can always upgrade to an aerolite later (as others said: might be some initial hickups with that one...)

I will second Perfect_Speed's sentiment and agree that the Vapman is far more inconspicuous than the Dynavap, and arguably even more so than most battery powered vapes. Both the device and the torch are incredibly palmable, and the way you heat it naturally conceals the flame from others. Using it gives off a very different visual and outward vibe compared to the Dynavap –– much less sketchy. It also 100% can be used as a sipper, arguably the best sipper for small load sizes.

Understand if you're set on battery-powered, but I really would give the Vapman a shot! Even if you don't decide to use it in public it's the consummate microdoser.

As for battery reccs, I've actually had the most success microdosing out in public with a Puffco Plus concentrate pen. A small jar of rosin and the Plus are all you need with the dab-tool built into the mouth piece. The tiniest dabs you can imagine. Lot of people hate on it but it works great for me. I've also found success with a Pax and the Pax Pusher accessory, which allows you to get down to the 0.05g range – another widely bemoaned device that I quite enjoy. V3 Pro would work great too!

I will one day get one, because I love wood, would love the fast heat up time and like butane vapes. But, sitting at a public beach in summer or at a bus station I will definitely not whip a vapman out, carefully fill it with weed and then heat it with a jet flame haha.

I can get flower from a dispensary here, but not Rosin. I could buy the equipment for Rosin, but that would be a huge waster considering I vape like once a week and 0.05g weed already get me high. I will take a look at the pax though, thanks!

Definitely understand not wanting to fill it with weed in public!

I will add that traditional hash produces vapor for much longer than herb, and the Vapman works great with hash, so when I go out with the Vapman I usually just load a tiny piece of Moroccan hash (like 1/3 the size of a grain of rice), and that'll last me the whole day. I never have to reload it, I just take out the Vapman and quietly heat it and sip. It's the closest I've gotten to the convenience of carts. And even if I did have to reload, breaking off a tiny piece of hash is much more discrete than using ground herb. But if you don't have access to rosin I doubt you'll find much traditional hash.

Also just to add to the discreetness of the Vapman, if you heat it softly you can basically get away with no visible vapor on exhale, but still plenty of flavor and all the effects you want. With hash (which I find does not produce much of a smell) I've been able to use it on packed busses without attracting any attention.

I'm also a 0.05g will get me high kinda guy, but I probably consume a little more regularly than you (trying to cut down to just weekend). 1g ball of hash has lasted me well over three months at this point as my primary form of consumption.

In any case, good luck with your search!

This is top advice, and it sounds like our use is very similar. I rarely reload the Vapman whilst out and about because a wok full easily gets me through a couple of days at a time.

Paxes may have changed a lot since I last used my pax3 but mine required at least a 0.3g load and cooked the weed even when I wasn't inhaling it. I got through as much in a day as I now get through in a fortnight - although if you grow, that won't be an issue.

No yeah, the Pax out the package takes 0.3g to function properly and wastes weed like no other. But with the NewVape / CH Pax Pusher accessory, you're able to bring it down close to 0.05g and even use tiny nugs, and since you're using a smaller load, you don't feel as bad about it cooking weed when not inhaling. Sort of becomes like a battery powered Dynavap.

Adding my +1 to the xmax v3 pro, as I actually use it for tiny sips over long periods of time. I'm a huge fan of the v3 pro overall, and it's the only vape I've ever bought multiples of (3!).

The one I keep in my mtb/skate waist pack or purse has a delta3d slim case to keep it clean and discrete. The device heats so fast I can pause on the side of the trail/road to take a quick sip, turning it off in the middle of my pull to cool the dosing cap. Ability to use dosing caps also makes for a more discreet time when in public. I don't want to get too strong of an effect when out and about, and it's been doing a great job for me.

Obviously at home the v3 pro can rip, natively or through glass.

Magic Flight Launch Box. It's simple, discreet, palmable, can be loaded up for the day and sipped as necessary, It's still a really nice vape, especially if a sipper is what you're after. For a longer day's hike, all you need to carry is a replacement battery and a little ground herb. For home, the wall power supply (the Power Up) is essential and gives even better control and performance.
