Hey all, I'm a new member here to the forum and Z-tribe. I don't currently own any ZX gear but am eagerly awaiting both a ZX and ZXXL. I would love to also pick up a ZXL but I just don't think I can justify it being different enough for my usage. I feel extremely fortunate to have snagged one of the ZXXL's and when I saw the ZXL's come up again my VAS (or ZAS?) hit hard. But my wife who is very understanding of my affliction has put her foot down on this one unfortunately.

I truly thought there would be more people lining up to seize the opportunity who might have otherwise missed the ZXXL (that was my plan). And it makes me sad to see they didn't go faster and has me wondering why people aren't seeing the value in what seems to me to be a truly superior material. Do we need to do more work as a tribe in spreading the word somehow?

I really vibe with the whole Phase3 philosophy and really want to see the brand (and of course the man himself) succeed, as I'm sure everybody else here does too. I think it would be very sad to see the Z line fade away but I also understand that you have to do what you need to do to keep things ticking over @invertedisdead.

I can only speak for myself but as my vaping journey progresses I find that I don't want to compromise on anything. Which of course has lead me to here. I live in a country where we are way behind the USA in terms of legalisation but it's definitely coming. If you could tap into younger markets like ours then I'm sure there would be many people who also vibe with your philosophy, and I wonder if shipping direct to them from China could perhaps subvert the tariffs somehow and keep the Z line alive? (I'm no expert on the matter though so please correct me if I'm wrong).

No matter what I know that there is a lot of love out there for Phase3 and invertedisdead himself. I'm sure people here will always support you and your company but I wonder if there's anything more that can be done to reach new people so they can also see your vision? I'm too old for most social media but it seems Tik Tok is where all the cool kids are doom scrolling these days, just a thought.

Apologies for the long post but the thought of the Z line fading away makes me so sad it inspired me to write this, even though I'm yet to experience any of them for myself. If that isn't a testament to the love out there for them then I don't know what is. And as someone who is aspiring to design my own Zirconium Ceramic TED, this has me concerned that I'm wasting my time and energy on a dream that can never come to fruition 😔

Thanks so much for supporting PHASE3!
Your favorite vape companies favorite vape company
I sincerely appreciate you buying your tickets and can't wait to have you riding the Z-Train very, very soon!!

Sorry I've been trying to reply to this for a while, but I always end up feeling like I'm saying too much.

It is what it is friend, the main goal with the Z's was just to follow through with one of my vape ideas and on that note I achieved what I was trying to do.

Gemstone ball vapes have gone on to have the biggest impact on this industry that I've ever seen, and I've been an outspoken member here since 2012.

I'm going to keep building Z's or some variant of them for as long as I can, because I truly believe in the vapor quality and the 5 star feedback from long term veteran enthusiasts.

But no, unfortunately the truth is most shoppers won't see the added value in what I'm doing.
What people see value in is those lower priced white label import kits all the retailers are pushing now that the gemstone ball vape concept is proven and popular.

I think about releasing a hot stick / clicky cap / TED pretty often because that category is popular and I feel like I could offer something pretty unique. I posted a few threads with concepts like the PHASE3 Puritan; but so far I've only ever released a prototype 8MM cooling stem a few years ago. Honestly it's not a category of vape that I really reach for but I can't ignore the fact that it seems to be what everyone wants.

One day I'll get bored and at least drop the updated 8MM advanced cooling stem as it seems like there's always an interest in that kind of stuff, and I truly believe my revised design solves the unique problems that I see not being addressed in all the other cooling stem designs.

Sincerely appreciate the compassion and honesty, it's so cool to see people in the world who still care!

That suck !
What's the consequence for the ZXL current orders ?

No real consequence for buyers other than the wait, the consequence for me is that I might end up not making any dollars off the project to invest into other ideas which I suppose could be considered a waste of time. I'm hoping it doesn't go down like that.

Hiya! I made a rip vid with my ZX and a new bubbler i just got :)

Absolutely stunning, friend, thanks so much for posting.

Always a treat to see some real heady glass!
Appreciate you supporting innovative glass artists, it helps out our industry peers and there's really nothing more enjoyable than ripping a top tier Grade A vape through a really cool piece of glass made with love and intention!

Hi

Any update on the ZXXL handles? Samples come in?

Nothing yet friend but rest assured I'll be posting an update as soon as I've got one.

I've been waiting since last week to hear an update on those and the ZX ceramics as I know release dates aren't my major strength, but I had full intention that they would be in at the end of last month as per my contract details with my ceramic producer.

Hoping to hear a production update this evening.
As always I sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation and hope everyone is bubbling away on something premium this fine morning!

Salute to everyone riding that Z Train and much respect to everyone kindly waiting to get on board very soon!!

My manufacturer is estimating shipment next week for those ZX's parts, so hopefully coming around the big bend now.

Salute to everyone rocking with the Z TEAM

ZXLs are likely still a good month+ out due to the factory backlog so please keep your seatbelt fastened and enjoy the ride!

Happy Friday to everyone steaming along in the univerZe :sherlock:

So we can expect a ZX shipment by the end of the month?

Definitely anticipating ZX's going out this month; that said time flies by so fast, seems like it was just the end of last month and now this one is already half over. Sometimes just clearing customs can take a week+; but these parts should seriously be done any day now.

Appreciate everyone patiently holding it down for the time being.

My ZX has also landed. In 2 words - magnificent and elegant! Screwed in easily to my DC coil as though they were threaded. Injector bowl is fantastic! Injector head cleanly attaches to the injector bowl for a great seal.

After a burn-off I ran .05 (a vapcap size) of Wedding Cake at 525 as I had to return to work :brow: but the maiden voyage was fantastic!

@invertedisdead indeed a winner!
2+ years later and the ZX still reigns supreme in my arsenal! Thanks again for the smooth ride, @invertedisdead :rockon::science:

PS - still using the MAKO stem too. I don't use the Dynavap often (just when traveling) - the MAKO is my preferred stem. I will admit the MAKO is the only after-market stem I've ever tried, but in either case - bravo! I'm about to go on a 2 week trip into the backcountry and the stem/DV came out for cleaning and prepping for the trip this AM.

Flavor chasers! What temp do you like to run your zx at? So far I've been pushing the temps in experiments to maximize effects but have recently pivoted to not actually wanting the sedation from pushing the avb too far. I'd been basically setting the line right at needing a cleanup hit but not having a bad tasting cleanup hit. The ZX has still been my tastiest non sipper device but I think I'm ready to graduate to flavor chasing

I tend to be more effect focused in my usage but ive found anything from 365-420 is flavor city. That said, ive found even higher temp zaps still taste far better than my other devices at a similar temp

oooh! i tried 465F right when i got the zx at a ztribe member's suggestion. Maybe I'll start at 365 and do a little temp stepping to see what happens. I am still chasing effects, just different ones. I suspect the effects I'm now chasing and flavor chasing may happen at similar temps

I used mine at 420F for a long, long while for really fantastic flavor but I've bumped up to 460-500 lately, mostly around 480. Much higher and the flavor's not quite as amazing but at those temps I get a nice full roast with one hit and really great flavor.

Funny. That's exactly where I typically sit temp wise myself these days.

I thought that I ran my B1 very low with 473 ...
Look like that the zxl run really lower. Airflow is more open or closed ?
Well I am the opposite of @coolbreeze. I have a B1 but not the ZXL. But I would say that coolbreeze is probably correct in his assessment. It will be pretty close. The B1 imo has pretty open airflow which is what I like about it. Although my ZX is the one that get's the most use. Being only 14mm I find that I get more than enough airflow with the ZX and I run mine higher than most people. I have pid set for 550 for the ZX at the moment. And there is a reason for that. That is because I like how at 550 it only takes a couple of seconds after you start pulling on the bong to see thick vapor instantly build up. The abv does come out very roasted and dark brown at that temperature. But i get everything out of the plant in one hit with no cleanup's. I do have a ZXXL coming when those get ready to ship. So I can update you on the a comparison of a B1 vs. ZXXL once it arrives. Hope this helps a little.

Is the ZXL capable of producing denser vapor in the lower temperatures compared to the ZX? I don't mean low temperatures in general, but relative to the operating temperature range of these devices.

With more flower and the 18MM bowl - probably - as the air flow rate is a bit higher on the 18MM ZXL (thus more convection heat transfer)

If you're talking about with the new upcoming ZXL micro dose bowl - that remains to be seen!

This is around where I tend to hang out -
Though I typically shift around all over the temperature band throughout the day.

For me great flavor still needs to come with great vapor,
A lot of vapes have good flavor with a whispy primer hit, but I want to achieve great flavor with a potent extraction right out of the gate as I feel that's much more impressive to be able to achieve.

The focal point of the Z's lies in the "single pass extraction" gleaned conceptually from commercial concentrate extractions.
It was observed that minimizing contact with the unvaporizable plant material would be one key to achieving superior flavor.

My favorite kind of progress report! Appreciate the great update!!

Unlike peanut butter cups and praline swirl, the real deal authentic PHASE3 experience is no flavor of the month!!!

That's super cool to hear about the Mako stem, I've been wondering if anybody was still rocking that one.
I've been thinking of bringing it back as I've completely redesigned that stem into an updated design that shares the same original concept, but has been totally reimagined for far superior next generation vapor cooling capabilities!

I've been considering doing a beta-sale to get a few units out there to some enthusiasts who really love this genre of vape.

Same. Been at 420 on the XL and 440+ on the zx. OHE with the ZX and abv pile is lighter than any other vape I use and still completely spent.

:rockon::rockon:that's the vibe I'm on for sure!

@greenganja @Cheebsy appreciate everyone patiently waiting for the ZXXLs, had a few people asking about the next round of those recently so I'm definitely looking to get those finished and sent out ASAP so I can hopefully get onwards to a second batch.

About to pull the trigger on a ZXL and would ABSOLUTELY jump at the opportunity to order a ZXXL as well!

Well y’all, I finally got off my ass and preordered the ZXL with an extra bowl! I’ve been spending my discretionary funds (+) on non-vape toys, which is batshit crazy, I know. Then I went through a phase of self-examination: with the Z8 satisfying my daily medication needs, did I really need to buy a ZXL or was this just more FOMO consumerism? Of course, the answer’s a no for the former and a yes on the latter but fuck it. It’s going to be nice to have the ZXL downstairs and the Z8 upstairs, living in pure luxury!
