Our new solar lights!

We were at Home Depot this weekend, and we got these new solar pathway lights. I love these because they make such a cool effect! Didn't know they would do this when we bought them, though. They were pretty reasonable too, only $3.98 each. They are SO much better than the next door neighbors solar pathway lights too!!

We discovered a problem. Our front porch puts one of the lights in a shadow for most of the day. If we move it, it will look stupid, but if we don't move it, it won't charge.

Reminds me of a solar light my husband installed for me in the dog's yard. We'd been having problems with skunks and I really needed to check the yard before letting the dog out. He put it in the shade and it hasn't worked since day one. Pisses me off every time I'm trying to see what's going on at night.

I moved it for now, but we are going to have to re-arrange things. Sounds like you need to move yours too.
