Normal wear on Newvape Fine Grinder?

I purchased a Newvape Fine Grinder - Titanium Grey on 4/20 last year and finally gave her a good clean after all that time. Once it was all polished up i could really notice the wear that had occured on the anodized material, exposing the aluminum beneath. There are even a few tiny places it has chipped off.


Take a look at the pictures below. Does anyone think this is normal wear after only 1 year of use?

Well, I guess my initial reaction is that isn’t really very much “damage”

Teeth should never be hitting each other (and your flower ain’t chipping that metal) if properly closed.

But what I have often seen and done is we shove a bunch of bugs in there, can’t get it fully closed, and start turning.

This will indeed give the teeth an opportunity to clash.

I think you are probably right about the over stuffing causing the damage on the blades.

The wearing down of the inside lip on both the male and female sides was what i am most curious if other people were experiencing.

TBH, when i purchased it i thought "titanium grey" meant that it was anodized with titanium, my own ignorance i guess, newvape corrected me on this via email. I guess i thought the finish would be a bit more durable.

I think you are probably right about the over stuffing causing the damage on the blades.

Yeah, its not so much from the stuffing of it as it is that the teeth on top and bottom won't be properly aligned and will hit each other.

I have no real wear on my mine and I have had it for...4 years or more, I think. Now, I do have a BCG and tend to use that more.
