No love for Pax 3?

I keep getting emails from Pax and I keep looking. I've never tried a Pax so I'm clueless. I'm use to Arizer Air, dynavap, & FF2+. That's what I own. Just ordered the vleaf GO. It's not here yet but it doesnt look like it'll fit in my jeans pocket. I need a pocket vape which is why I'm looking at Pax. I ordered an Argo but it's still too big. I wanna sell it. I found the Pax 3 thread on here and it's pretty inactive. I qualify for their military discount and I'm throwing around whether it's worth it or not. I just like the size and look of it but I dont want to end up with another vape to find a buyer for. Then I saw that Davinci Miqro is on sale. I'm wondering about it vs Pax. The fuschia Pax is simply bitchin and color tends to grab me. Lol. Any 2 cents you have to throw in will be appreciated.

Considering the vape you already have and enjoy I wouldn't go Pax. If I wanted a pocket vape I go with Tiny Might. If I really wanted conduction I would look at a Crafty+

My TM has replaced all my other vapes. I only use them now for diversity.

can you pocket the TM with it having an exposed glass mouthpiece? My jeans aren't tight but they aren't loose either.

I pocket it all the time with the short mouthpiece and a little silicone cap at the end of the stem to keep dust out. Sometimes I will also take an extra stem loaded with herb and carry in a silicone battery holder.

It's ok to have conduction not-on-demand device(like PAX 3), but you can get a better deal like Fury Edge or so ... or Dynavap M ... PAX 3 is abit pricey...ofcourse on-demand 100% convection devices (TP80/TM/Splinter Z/Impcog) are giving better effects/extraction in less time imo

I think you will get more feedback in the actual Pax 3 thread - it is quiet, but people still respond there.

But here is my :2c:
I love my Pax 3. The battery life is great for its size, it is a consistent hitter and personally, I get really, really good effects from it.
The flavor is very dense - I happen to really enjoy it, but some may feel differently.

The downside is similar to the Miqro- it’s not a good micro-doser. Although, there are several third party spacers that are available to make the oven smaller without sacrificing experience (see below).

It is also really stinky - of all the vapes I own or have owned (see my signature), it is probably the smelliest. Not completely sure why, but it stinks while using it (a smoke buddy can help with that) and it stinks when it is turned off (a smell proof case solves that - see below for my reco)

If you do get it - I recommend the following two accessories that I deem extremely important.
1) a spacer (“pax pusher”) like this one: https://www.newvape.com/collections/pax-accessories/products/pax-pusher
or this one https://www.amazon.com/Adjustable-S...s&qid=1586458598&sprefix=Pax+,aps,165&sr=8-23
This will allow you to use much less and makes it far more efficient if you want to only use small amounts.

2) a smell proof case like this one (I Love this one - it fits like a glove): https://delta3dstudios.com/pax3-slim-case/
Or if you want to go super value: https://delta3dstudios.com/pax2-caps-pair/ The cap is enough to keep the smell to a minimum.

Finally, I don’t use these but have heard really good feedback from several people. These are great for on the go, when you can grind in advance and just drop in a pod and switch out quickly:

Thank you so much for this. I see tons of people on reddit loving it. I started to order back at the black friday sale and didnt. I've been on the fence but the re-release of the fuschia is pushing me. Lol. I had sent off for a sample bud cup so I have it. And I had already purchased a case which is smell proof. I turned it into a dynavap case when I didnt order pax. I like the one you have.

Yes.
Pax 2 or 3 is my go to and about vape. Pacific NW--it rains. A lot. Pax 2 or 3 dont care. Small, stealth, Great.

And I ordered the capsules, thanks!

The capsules Jill NYC talked about work. Not sure they're practical . Temp setting are slightly cooler using them based on ABV color.

You can take them out but their super hot and really need a tool. Expensive to just ditch or be careless with. Really a better design would be done by the manufacturer I think, but these have some advantages and drawbacks

Pretty content with my Pax2, don't use any concentrates. Any reason to upgrade to a Pax3?

If your Pax2 is still working and your satisfied, might as well wait for a Pax 4. Pax 3 has been out for several years now. I'd think at some point there will be an upgrade. Then Pax 3 will be cheaper. Lol

@shopdognyc - I haven’t heard of many differences, unless having app control is super important to you (I use my Pax 3 without the app 90% of the time since the initial tinkering faded away).

I agree with @Maryjanie - if it’s treated you well thus far, no need to waste money on very minor changes.

Thanks guys. Still going strong for me, and learning to take care of it better. Did place an order for a Pax Pusher, so interested in that.

I have some other devices so not sure if investing in a WPA for it is worth it yet.

You said you ordered a VLeaf Go. Personally I think the Pax 2/3 is a better vape than the Go if you're not running them through water. The Go has some glaring issues and just because its a brand new convection vape doesn't automatically make it better. The biggest problem with the Pax 2/3 is they're kind of overpriced because you're paying for the name. Also no replaceable battery. But they are tried and true devices and I wouldn't hesitate to own one. And good call on getting the Pax pusher.
It's funny how 4 years ago, everyone talked about how good the Pax 2 vapor quality was. Well that hasn't changed. Just because the new trend these days is on demand convection, doesnt mean that the Pax 2 vapor quality "sucks now". It still has good vapor quality, don't let VAS hype or the pro-convection bias fool you into thinking otherwise.

Thanks @mccringleberry. I have a Crafty+, Mighty, Pax2 and a Dynavap M 2020. I couldn't find a reason to get a Pax3 since I only do dry herb now.

I never had the courage in taking it apart to clean and its been amazing since getting some pipe cleaner through the hole. Still my tried and true, thought I've had it malfunction in the past for me. I just charged it up and was eventually fine. Big bummer at that time with friends and device stopped working.

Not sure about others, but I likely will carry backups just to make sure I'm ready to go.

Small vape? check out the flowermate cap.
No vape is more pocketable than this. It’s ready in just a few seconds and cheap (50-70€). Weights 56g, its thinner and seems half shorter than a V-Leaf. Not a big fan of conduction vapes but the ease of use and quickness makes it better than any other.
Better and cheaper choice than a Pax3 imho.

Thanks. I guess it was add on something that I am already familiar with. Don't see the add yet in a Pax2 but still happy with this.
