MiniVap or Mighty

Hey guys. I've been browsing the forum looking for some advice recently, I figured I might as well just make this thread..

I am thinking about getting a new vaporizer. I have been using my Solo for about half a year now and I enjoy it. But I am looking for an upgrade. The draw resistance has become noticeable for me now and the battery life isn't quite what it used to be. I know there are a couple portable vapes out there that really stand out. and look to give desktop quality vapor..I have narrowed it down to these two: the MiniVap and the Mighty..

Anyone here ever used both vaporizers? How do they compare? What are the perks and cons of each.. ?

Now, I know that they aren't exactly made for stealth and that's fine with me. I will be using my new vape as a nice home portable unit that can deliver me even better quality vapor than my Solo has. Efficiency, and taste are my top priories followed by cloud chasing. I will also be mainly using my new vape, dry, with no bong or water pipe. So maybe keep that in mind, when throwing a suggestion at me.

Just looking for some help to decide between these two vapes.

Thanks guys.

There is no winner in the 'which is better' question- only opinions, and getting one from someone who owns both may be tough. There's only 'which is better for your particular needs/wants'. One fits in your pocket (at least some pockets) and the other is a little large for that, so it depends on how you want to use it.

I know there are a couple portable vapes out there that really stand out.
These stand out to some, but they're also the most expensive portables on the market and you don't have to spend anywhere near this much $ to get quality. I've been buying/using vapes for about 10 years, and you won't find me at this price altitude.
Efficiency, and taste are my top priories
You can get great taste and great efficiency (which is mostly up to the user) from a $100 portable too. Spend the big bucks if you want, but when it comes to vaporizers, the old saying about 'you get what you pay for' doesn't really apply. The law of diminishing returns does apply. You get refinements and bells/whistles, but thankfully, vaporization is a simple process, and us cheap vape buyers can get the same taste and efficiency as those buying the expensive models.

I know what you mean. I bought my Solo for $150 and it has done me wonders.. I just feel like there is room to upgrade. I don't like the draw resistence and I feel like the battery is weakening. I just thought maybe it was time to get something new. Idk I like portables and these two could be the best two portables on the market right now.

It's hard to avoid with most portables, but your grind consistency and how you load (how much and whether you pack or not) are factors too.
I feel like the battery is weakening.
We have an option there - High Performance Vaporizer Batteries

A new vape is always nice, and if you've the got money to spend..... Just want to make it clear that spending a lot won't get you more or better vapor. I'd love to have one of the new S&B portables myself, but I'd always feel like I spent too much. That's just me, and as long as you know what you're getting for the money, go for it if it makes you happy.

Yeah honestly, the money isn't an issue. I live on my own and I manage my budget pretty well... I think I can make it happen. Sort of like buying a new TV or something..

I guess that's why I made the thread.. I want to know for sure which way I should go if I am in fact going to be spending that much.

I asked ShayWhiteGrow on here who has both. He didn't pick one but seemed to hint at the Mighty. It's the one I'm saving my pennies for as well.

If money is not an issue, why not get both?
And if later on you decide to part ways with one of them, there's always the classifieds.
You'll get like 80% back of the original value.

Money isn't "much" of an issue.. I would love to get both, but I don't know if I'm willing to spend THAT MUCH money. Although if I can't decide, that is probably what I will ultimately do. I'm hoping to avoid that though haha.

I don't own either; I was about to buy a minivap until the Mighty and Crafty were released. I have read through the threads very carefully, and the one thing I'd add to this conversation is that, while the MiniVap is undoubtedly a fantastic vape, capable of great flavor, there have clearly been some quality-control issues. It seems a bit like owning a Jaguar circa 1975-80: owners loved them both despite and because of all the quirks and nuisances. One thing that concerns me is that it's based out of Europe, so all returns apparently have to go overseas (if you're in the US, obviously). One month may not be enough time to establish much of a track record for the Mighty, but so far so good--and S&B has an excellent record for reliability.

Good luck with your decision!

While it's true that both the Crafty and the Mighty are manufactured in Germany, they have a very efficient repair and warranty Center right here in the US. It's based in Oakland actually and any needed service is quite fast and efficient.
In fact I was just down there the other day for a tune up on my decade old Volcano. It was still working but the air output had diminished some. Spent less then forty bucks and it's like brand new! New seals, screens, valves, air filter etc.
I bought a Crafty a few weeks back and absolutely love it. If I was looking for more of a home unit I think the Mighty is a great choice. Storz and Bickel have been around for quite awhile and stand behind their products.

I don't have a reliable cam right now, for a video comparison.. but yeah I will definitely post my thoughts and review them after I try them out!
