Hey there, completely new to this forum so .....um Hi I guess? I'm not new to vaping however having stuck loyally to Vapir products(considering the experiences I've had I dunno why?) Yeah so why Last chance saloon I hear you murmur. Well in the last 15 months(since I quit tobacco for good) I've had 5 diferemt units and all bar one died on me so the Wife says i'm allowed to buy one more and then if that breaks i'm back to my Vaporstar or the very noisy Vapir OneV5.. I had the oxygen mini, then a pax,2 No2's and i'm on my 2nd Vapir oneV5. So i'm looking for something that's gonna stand the test of time. Was leaning towards the Plenty, but the massive chamber is a bit much. I don't have access to unlimited amounts of herb and I've read a lot of not so positive things about the liquid pad. The only others I've actually considered are the eNano and the extreme. Yeah so all in all i'm looking for something absolutely bombproof, with a good warranty and having used balloon and whip styles and portables too i'm not fussed as to how the vapour gets to my lungs. PLEASE HELP ME?
PS I realise I've probably asked a question that has been asked a million times but I didn't wanna post in someone elses thread. Cheers!!
Welcome! There's PLENTY of knowledgeable people on this site (most with more knowledge than I on the subject of vapes)
Sounds like you've had quite a few electronic vapes. Have you considered a butane powered vape like the Lotus? I too was on a quest for a reliable vape when my fancy 1 month old portable Davinci Ascent died (wouldn't heat up)
I saw someone else use the lotus in a video over on the cheap glass bubblers thread when my Davinci died and KNEW I had to have it. Especially since it could pair very well with glass. Doing a bit of research, I found how simple it was - the torch lighter used to heat the Lotus is more unreliable and likely to fail!
The Nano sounds great (I'm in fact currently shopping for an Exotic wood version), and I'm even thinking about building a log vape myself in the near future. But The nano is still a new kid on the block, it's practically a 1 man shop (I've heard he hired help, but it's still a small business). The warranty is awesome, but you might have to wait a bit to hear back from Andy since he's a busy guy.
The Lotus is also a small company, with an awesome warranty, but I get the impression they are a bit of a bigger operation than Andy at EpicVape currently. Both however, are small businesses.
Either way, think about something different perhaps. Instead of traditional electronic vapes, there's a whole world of butane powered vapes you'd never expect to find.
Another awesome thing about the Lotus is there's really only 1 part that can fail - the nickle hot plate. But for $13 you can buy a spare plate to keep if you ever need to replace it in under 20 minutes. I have droped my lotus on a concrete patio twice now, not a single problem with the Lotus (aside from some nicks in the black paint!)
(Disclaimer - yes, I've been a Lotus fanboy since the day I got it! But I'm still a vape newbie)
