Is there a secret between vaporization and combustion?

First post fellas! Thank you for having me here!

Last year I quit smoking cigarettes forever. I just stopped and never will get back to tobacco or nicotin. Two months later, weed was legalized in our country. Already I was getting used to not smoking, liked my new taste of everything - life was good. Still some nagging of the old habit, but it got less the time past.

I started vaping with a Volcano, hated the low maximum temperature, and was getting only mild effects. I am only used to vape with reduction-kit, as I am solo user. Cranking the dial up to 230°C I was getting sort of a mood after I've hit several bowls.
Bought an Aeris Ultra mobile vape and was getting the same effects, but less taste.
After 30years of not doing dope, I felt, I dunno, ok, thats all I get now, without smoking. So be it.

Around end of summer last year I've tried a Dynavap, the M7 together with an IH was a game-changer indeed. I now had the power to experiment with the temperature without being held back with the constraints of the system simply by using my IH. Guess what, instantly I achieved what I had missed. It was hard to master the perfect roast, but after figuring it out, it worked out every single time. I was not only literally blasted but also physically ;)

But as soon as I realised, that my ABV got darker with a Dyna, I've got evidence, I could not heat my Volcano/Aeris up to the point I needed it, but the Dyna can, tbh the click could be tuned for combustion if you just wanted it to.
I like my roast to be on the roasty side, but not burnt. Like good coffee. Using capsules I could not achieve that in the Volcano nor Aeris nor Tinymight2 (new vape arrived today).

Are there fellas like me?

While more experimented fellas join this thread iñl start saying I almost sure You willl totally get what you want from the TM2, but it's a new learning curve different from the DV or the others since TM is convection heating and DV is conduction.

Id suggest you go to the TM thread and get advice from those who use capsules, but Id also suggest you try the TM without them.

I'm not sure if you are using capsules in your Tinymight in this sentence. If you are, I recommend you stop.

As far as not achieving the extraction you want, it can take some technique moving to pure convection. I'd suggest slowing your draw a lot. Don't pack your bowl firmly. I don't tamp mine at all. Good convection needs good airflow.

The TM is considered like the best portable convection vape. A great many here appreciate convection hits. You chose wisely. Get to know it as suggested. If you want a conduction vape that gets a lot of respect, check out the vapman. A vapman will give you that toasty end flavor when pushed and it delivers. The Tempest is an upgrade from Dynavap imo. It’s a rabbit hole this VAS thing

The title of this thread seems to get at the old adage of riding the line, something we would do with very powerful, typically artisan made, unregulated vapes, remember in the RBT original Zion days, people talking about percentage of combustion in their vapor

Jeesus - omg "Shit Snacks", did not know how to call my thread and it sounded funny ... just like your comment AND....
ups your signature just drove over me... OMG vape-wise you seem to have come around a - lot.

Well, after trying it out, it is hell of a difference on the TM2 without capsules I admit! But still the taste is missing still compared to a Dyna.
I found that to be the case in every electronic device, I have tried including the vulcano. Maybe there is some magic around externally heated devices?

I never liked the flavor out of vapcaps, but then I've always had great flavor out of my vapmans. And my convection heated torch-driven devices like the TA.

But I'd say give it a little while before you write off the TM. I suspect you are hitting it at the same high dial setting on each hit? Give temp stepping a try! I start at zero and work my way up. One of the most flavorful vapes I own TBH.

Yeah I suggest looking in the TM thread for different use style, I milk the lowest possible settings, one hit, turning up dial each hit, tiny bit by tiny bit between lines, and I use aftermarket good vibes boro u hook stem if not WPA (plain with screen no glass holes) with hook or other glass to maximize smooth flavor, milking sessions (not stock)
