Is my new E-Nano power cord defective? (pics)

Hi,

I received my replacement E-Nano power cord today and I have a couple of problems that I would like some advice on.

1. Why does my E-Nano start at 6 (and not 0), with the first 'on' click being on 8 and the 'max' being on 4. Here are images of the new power cord:

2. When I lightly shake this new power cord, there is a crackling noise as if something is loose inside. My old faulty power cord doesn't make a noise when shaken and it also cannot be set to 0/1/2/3 (starts at 4) (can provide pics for that if necessary)

Are all your power cords like this? If so - are they intentionally created like this so you have to buy the more expensive 'upgraded' power cord? I have tried the power cable and it is turning on fine, but I have no idea what to set the "dial" to when using.

It seems that all I've had is problem after problem with the E-Nano and EpicVape. Can somebody please help me? I waited a month for the E-Nano to arrive, then spent the next 2-3 weeks trying to get in contact with EpicVape because they wouldn't respond, and waited an additional 7-8 days for this new power cord to arrive.

I am creating this thread before I contact EpicVape again (as they might still have issues with receiving email, calls, web support, and chat)

If this power cord is faulty - that's 2 in a row which concerns me about the quality of E-Nano itself? I am regretting my investment of £300+ (included import tax because I live in the UK) into this log vape, is it too late to return this entire product? I don't know if this was 'professionally' manufactured and following best practices, at this point it feels like I just bought a vape from somebody who likes to tinker with tech.

Is it safe to use this power cord?

The indicator wheel may just be aligned incorrectly with the index marks. If there us any question as to the safety, do not use it. Epic should be more than happy to replace a new faulty component. Been waiting on a new nano myself. Never had any quality issues prior with 4 nanos.

More qc from epic vape.

You can pop the wheel off sometimes and replace correctly.
Send them an email.......is useless most times.
Call them on the phone and complain is what seems to work best.

Sorry about the issues. If you waited a month it's because of your countries customs process.
We outsource the dimmers from Zing. They are the largest dimmer company in the world. We send the dimmers out to be custom printed. If the numbers don't line up with the '0' it just means they didn't turn the cord off when they printed the dial. You can pop it off with a screw driver and replace it on '0'. If there is something rattling around inside it's probably just a piece of plastic from the molding process. The only thing inside is a circuit board. Make sure you use a step down converter. 220v to 110v or you will blow up another cord. The 'upgraded' power cord uses the same dimmer circuit, we just put it in our custom wooden box instead of the plastic one.

OK. I'll use it without taking the top off and re-adjusting (don't want to risk breaking it), a little embarrassed to show this to friends/family. Might sell it and move on to something else.

Thanks for the help. Will definitely use this forum (rather than Reddit) for recommendations in the future. Huge lesson learned!
