Is it a copy or just "direct from the Chinese supplier"?

I'd been looking at the Grav Upline Upright Bubbler to use with my ball vape.

It's a medium expensive (for me) piece and I'd wondered if I could find it cheaper from a shop somewhere. With a little Googling, I found this...

They appear to be identical. Have I simply found the Chinese manufacturer?

It is almost impossible to know what is going on from the outside. It is very likely to be the same factory that GRAV uses. Did the factory re-brand their product for GRAV? Did GRAV supply the design and the factory is selling some "out the back door"? Did GRAV license then to sell these in Asia only? I am sure there are more scenarios.

I got that one (from DHGate)...would love to give it away because I would feel guilty selling it...terribly restrictive and a real pain to try and clean.:2c:
See, I quite like it because of the restriction, which makes it great option for milking a Dynavap/similarly restrictive device.

Cleaning can be a drag though, especially if you let it get proper funky - but if you stay on top of it, it's nowhere near as bad as anything with a gunked up matrix perc.

That said, if you're after a simple perc (like this has) that's easily cleaned, bang for buck, you're probably better off with an FC Mod https://m.dhgate.com/product/2015-new-34-5cm-height-glass-bong-with-matrix/255741536.html

That is a great recommendation and a lovely bong. I have it also and it works a treat and can be easily cleaned in the dishwasher. I do prefer a different mouthpiece and the seller is willing to swap it if you ask (I use the mouthpiece from the sellers FC199,

I'm not here for a long time, but for a good time
I have this and also like the more restrictive pull. It's a great build and weighty. I found no issues with cleaning. The only thing I ran into has getting my 10mm reducer stuck. I ended up breaking the reducer but the bubbler itself was fine.

I have the the Upline Bubbler from Grav, and concur with what others say about it being extremely restrictive. It's one of my favorite pieces, though, so I opened up the inner diameter of the mouthpiece with a dremel, then flame polished it. The improvement was dramatic in both cleaning and airflow.

That being said, it doesn't benefit to open that mouthpiece too much, because the rings on the upper stem are restrictive as well. It will never be something you can clear in a split second.

The restriction lends itself very well to session style use and running dry, where you don't clear every hit. Letting it milk with vapor, then treating it like a sippy bottle of tasty vapor, is a real treat. The rings and stem angle and restriction keeps all the vapor inside until it's pulled out.

All in all, the look and feel is better than the pictures. It's heavy, weighted well, comfortable in the hand, and the mouthpiece is angled just right so you get a perfect view around the top.

Yikes, I'll probably be using a similar reducer for an incoming vape, so I appreciate the cautionary tale. Beeswax on the joints before use for sure.

Yeah no confirmation but we are pretty certain that is the same manufacturer they use, if anything the quality was better, if not the same... That shop also supplies cannabis hardware with their version of the same piece, and their straight fab too... I also was not a fan of the upline bubbler either and sold mine that I got from JC glass shop on DHgate, but the quality was great
