Internships in the vaporizer industry?

Hi all, this is a strange question but has anyone seen or heard of internships in the herb/oil vaporizer manufacturing industry before? It seems like a pretty niche thing, but I'm a mechE student looking for summer work and really want to find something that interests me personally too.

I like the hustle. But, the industry is not evolved enough to build up a trained and dedicated workforce yet. They're still "right sizing". To be fair, I suspect most discussed in the article are not top gun STEM-types. It's just that, at the end of the day, internships are not the standard.

Out of curiosity, what country are you in? If the U.S., it would be interesting to see if a company COULD do an internship (Where the intern is paid less than minimum wage.) in the cannabis industry. I don't know if the requirements could be met in an "illegal" business. The feds can enforce wage laws (https://www.cannalawblog.com/oregon-marijuana-company-sued-in-flsa-wage-claim/) in a cannabis business. However, the elements needed are going to be hard to meet. https://www.dol.gov/whd/regs/compliance/whdfs71.htm

The company would have to craft something that would come up against a lot of laws that really does not have enough of a upside chance of success to accept the downside risk if things are not right.

Geez I had checked Pax's website earlier and saw they had no openings at all, makes sense after seeing they had to get rid of 65 people. I am indeed from the US, so maybe I'll try contacting some of the cali-based companies for shits and giggles. Guess it really is too early for this field to be offering the traditional internship.
