The Cera is very nice for a once in a while delicious portable IMO, but I only use it at home.
As I can't deny the taste is phenomenal in the Cera (when you get it right), there is a huge learning curve to get it just right.
I would never use it as my daily portable. It is a bit finicky, and will blow through batteries. You also need to send the cartridge in periodically to TE and spend $25 plus shipping.
Plus the price tag is a bit hefty on the Cera.

If this is going to be your daily driver, Indica all the way.
That's a no brainer.
Look at some of the clouds @Vitolo gets in his videos!
He also used a SSV whip (I think) to attach the Indica to a water tool which was super simple and worked fantastic.
As Vitolo stated (and he's no dummy, I've learned a lot from him) the cera is not a good portable vape.

Received my Massdrop Indica.
Beautiful packaging, love the box(but not the sticky label remains as others have mentioned). It's very attractive and the body has a good solid build, but WOW!, I haven't smelled this much manufacturing/plastic/artificial smell from any vape before. I had an Ascent that I couldn't rid the smell from and luckily DV replaced, but it wasn't as strong as this. So I did a full battery cycle's worth of burn offs, alcohol scrub, coconut oil scrub, another battery cycle's worth of burn offs, and it's still as strong even when it's off.

I've read some say it just took a week or two of "seasoning". Hoping someone can clarify seasoning because it sounds like covering the smell with build up resin, which doesn't seem like a fix, rather a band aid and it doesn't address whatever it is we're inhaling during that week or two.
Not really comfortable forging thru this smell/taste to season it, so wondered if anyone has come across other ways of eliminating the smell. If not, from all accounts Michael seems like he's providing great CS so, I'll approach him for an exchange.

Having now held it in hand, I'm not sure the size is as big an issue as some have mentioned, especially at a moderate distance, but clearly bringing a lighter up to your lips is odd behavior.
Holding out hope that my suggestions for a stealth straw is considered.

My MassDrop Indica seemed to have no obnoxious aromas. Finished the initial charge (about an hour since it came mostly charged it seems) and then two burn offs, recharge, and rock'n'roll.

My wife would tell you it could smell like a dead water buffalo and I wouldn't notice or care that much, but then she can smell things nobody else can I believe.

As for the Indica...Loving it!

Outdoors tip it up like a flask when you draw instead of sucking out of a cup...looks less odd I think.

Try doing a check on red in the dark and shine a flash light over the opened oven to make sure there are no fumes when it is clean. Its hard to say without knowing exact smells, but that can be a good check to know of its something that will go away or not. If you see fumes you should contact customer service

I went with this high temp silicone tubing, due to the flexibility it keeps intact. Well that's what I read when I skimmed in the tubing thread.

I also got a nice, http://www.ebay.com/itm/121343298825?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 , portable downward-sloping j hook with a water filter at the bottom.

Hopefully with the tubing and j-hook and indica together will create vapor clouds especially on the red setting.

Also, I did not enjoy using a screen. Too much of pain in loading and unloading herbs. Flavor was not as pronounced and the air draw was more restrictive for me. I might have not put the screen in properly, but I don't want to deal with it unless it's worth the performance. Indica vaporizer should make screens pre-folded so it would be easier or I was thinking instead of using a U-shaped screen. Why not a basket screen? So much easier, but the conduction of the herbs might not be as effective. Cheers! I'm done babbling on for now.

This was already posted but:
If you get 2 spacers and put them back to back (rounded side out) wrap the screen around the spacers and its the same shape of the Indica oven, easy peazy.
I believe this was courtesy of @Vitolo if I'm not mistaken.

I have used mine every which way, and the screens are just a pain in the butt.
I personally do not use them.

@Adobewan shine your flashlight in the oven, look down the tube then vice versa.

Ovens will hold basically the same amount (normally I half pack the PAX and use a 3/4" SS screen folded on top)

Wow looking forward to seeing more! Once gong/wong/stong(steel?) mouthpieces exist that would be an even more irresistible pair, would maybe even make a nice accessory bundle...

Regarding ss mesh screens, I personally find that they tend to restrict airflow in just about every portable vaporizer that I've ever used, so I always prefer something that functions well without them. I would usually prefer having to poke through every once in a while to the physical hassle of un/installing and cleaning a screen, while also dealing with its air restrictions...

Yes I have. I used kief. It does cause the oven to make noise when on and changing temps if resin is on the oven. It can also gunk the oven after one session , so it makes tough to clean after. Vapor clouds are big though.

Although it may not be as well disguised would it be more of a stealth option to just use some SSV tubing? I don't have one yet as waiting on battery option so genuinely asking.

The same as vitolo uses to attach to his glass pieces but short enough (and probably black) to allow you to keep the entire unit palmed if it is possible.

There have been plenty of reviews of the Indica so far, so let me make this one short...

Got mine Friday afternoon from the MassDrop sale. Everything I read about the packaging and the extra copies of accessories was spot on. This company knows how to display and accessorize their product.

The Indica is very well made and feels solid in your hand. Heat up time is pretty quick and my first "test" after an initial 10 min. burn-off and full re-charge went very well. I wanted my first session to be with some Crater Lake v4, but I didn't have any ground up and the Tangerine Dream was just sitting there asking to be used, so I loaded up a small amount, put in the spacer and away I went...

Started off on Blue and worked my way up to purple and VERY much enjoyed the taste and the cloud output, especially on green and purple. The taste was great and stayed that way just about until it was cashed. (It only had that new vape smell until I did the initial 10 min burn-off, then, from the first load, it tasted great!

Over the course of the weekend, I've used it a few more times and have decided that this is my favorite portable so far. (I've owned a MFLB, Pax, Ascent and a few more that don't deserve any recognition at all).

I loved the Ascent, but it never felt like a portable that would hold up being portable. It just felt like those glass sleeves were going to crack sooner or later with the handling that occurs outside.

The Pax was nice, but I found the draw too restrictive and the constant cleaning to be a PITA. The Indica's draw is much less restrictive. Have not had to clean it yet, but from what I have read, it is much easier than the Pax upkeep...

Ok...this is already longer than I wanted it to be, so I'll conclude with a few pithy comments:

...The Indica exceeds my expectations
...Fast heatup
...great taste
...solid feel and looks
...easy recharge

I would recommend this vape to anyone looking for a nice, solid portable. It is well thought out and executed and the company seems to have gotten it right the first time out of the gate. Could it use a few improvements? Absolutely! And, it looks like most of those are currently in the works. Plus, we have the owner as a fellow FC'er. I wish this company a lot of success...

Thought it very worth mentioning that I hadn't reached out to Indica yet, planning to see how you, the FC brethren, who may have suffered the same issue, were problem solving.
Well, Michael @Indica Vaporizer reached out to me via PM at midnight Sunday evening, to graciously jump on my issue, asked for my contact info, and prepared a replacement, based solely on my posts here.

What's the word for the opposite of having to frustratedly chase down a manufacturer for service?

Anyone on the fence has to see the value of that kind of manufacturer.
Haven't even tried one of their beauties yet but I'm already promoting the company.

In my opinion the off smell some of us have experienced on new units is some type of sealant that hasn't fully cured. You can see it in some of the pics in this thread. You'll notice when new, the indica is in a air tight baggy, not allowing it to cure, hence the odor. This would explain why some of us have noticed it and some have not. It depends how much your indica aired out prior to bagging.
My advice on a new indica would be to remove oven door and mouthpiece for 24 hours, let it air out good. Then do your burn off and clean with iso. Then enjoy!

That is incorrect my friend. There is nothing in the unit that has ""sealant" or anything inside of it that needs to dry.
From the oven is a nipple with a small heat resistant silicone coupler to hold the air path stem. Other than that, the only thing inside the unit is heat resistant wrap around the oven, batteries, a circuit board and a couple of wires.
I would look into the mouthpiece, or oven gasket if your getting a weird taste.
ISO soak the MP and it may go away.
The Indica does not need to be aired out.

Also check to make sure the heat resistant silicone "square" is properly aligned in the oven chamber. When you take off the oven door, this piece seals the unit. You should be able to see it around where you fill the oven.
Hopefully this is your issue and easily fixed.
For how advanced the Indica is, the inside is kept simple and efficient.

OK, its the silicone square I was referring to, it looked to me like a high temp silicone sealant. I haven't had any issues with smell other than when brand new, which was expected. Just guessing, flavor is great once broke in.
