I have been experimenting with slowly increasing the temperature of my mod so I can crudely separate by boiling point and sample the different cannabinoids in shatter. I am using a quartz cup. I notice that even at 600 deg. F. and higher there is a brown oily residue which still gets me high. But in contrast, at 500 deg. F., I can heat the residue pretty much indefinitely without getting any vapor at all.
So my question is: what the hell am I vaping at 600 deg. F?? It has the taste of chewing on the grass stalks you find in a field. It is pretty harsh to inhale. And its effect, in addition to some euphoria, is mainly to slow down the mind, despite the fact that the shatter is a pure sativa strain. I had a great meditation after vaping this stuff. Anybody got any ideas what it is, and NO, I cannot send you a sample LOL.
