Hey guys!

Im new to this forum but it looks top notch so i thought id post here and hopefully get a answer to the questions i have.

Im looking to buy a SSV. I also down the road (few months when i have more spending money) get the water pipe 14mm attachment.

My questions are:

1)Does the aroma top double as a QC wand holder?

2)Does the holder attachment ("ridethewave") work well? better than the GG QC wand? since im sure you can rotate the wand vs the GG being stuck in place.

These questions directly relate to using the ssv with a water pipe attachment.

Thanks!

As far as I know, the aroma top won't act as a handsfree holder like the "ride the wave holder". I've heard that the "ride the wave" holder works well, but can scratch the paint on your ssv. By GG you mean glass on glass right? You can rotate the gg wand, but its harder to do than with a regular wand. If your going to be using your ssv with a waterpipe, I would reccomend you buy the gg heater cover because you can let go while you hit your waterpipe and have your hands free.

Don't take my word for it tho, I've only tried my friends ssv, I myself have a VB.
Btw I'm pretty sure questions like this should be in the ask fc section.

aroma tops only purpose is to diffuse oils and other scented liquids/melts. The metal hands free thing works well from what i've seen, I dont know about other places, but the ones that vapeworld ship out come with rubbed covers over the parts that make contact with your surfer, so paint scratching isnt an issue. It holds a standard wand in place MUCH better than just relying on a ground glass connection.

While i did own a aroma top for my DBV, i can't see myself ordering one for my SSV, i just think they look too silly on them. and i don't really feel the need for a hands free attachment since i like to tumble my bowl during hits a lot and stir in between, it would just add an un needed step. When i vape-bong, i plug my pieces carb and just pull away the wand when i want to clear it. It doesnt deliver as big of a rush of air as pulling the adapter or using the carb, but you get all the vapor out of the hose too, so it's more efficient as well as easier.

I'd go over a water filter/bong over the SSV Ice Chamber. that way you will have more versatility and will be able to use your glass with other vaporizers if you so choose.

you have to be careful with the gg wand. i had a friend of mine pull mine out of the unit while taking a hit and broke the bowl. now it is nice to have both hands for the waterpipe, i find its not neccessary and i perfer the standard connection with the waterpipe due to the thicker more concentrated hits that it produces.

the only time i like using the gg wand is in a group setting as its easier to hand the mouthpiece or my bub around rather then handing the whole hose/wand/bubbler and explaining how to hold the wand up to the heater.

on the aroma top, that is made to not get in the way of vaping, and wont work with the gg heatercover from what ive read.

From experience, I'd recommend against the ground glass connections - they may seem convenient in theory but are nothing but an unreliable hassle on either of these vapes. What i'd recommend:

http://tinyurl.com/yhx9so8 + http://tinyurl.com/yz72tak = $250 with FC2010 promo code, and make sure you call them when you order to specify the wand type you want, or include it in a note on your order - i know you can do that when you pay through paypal

and then go to everyonedoesit, grasscity, the resell thread here, or a local headshop and look for a bong/bubbler you like with an 18.8mm joint size. Or you can wait until the 14mm adapter is in stock at vapeworld, or get one through somewhere else (like the 7th floor site, even though, in my experience, they're slow at shipping things out and take 2-3x longer than VW)

You'll get a better setup and will end up spending less in the end.
