I've seen a lot of mention of Out Worlds, never played the original, but the new one definitely has me interested.
$80 is steep tho, that's hard to support unless it's really something incredible, but those exist out there for under $60.
Borderlands 4 coming out at $80 too from what I've seen.
I started up some Lies of P for the first time. Man this is such a cool game.
Combat is fantastic. Parry windows are even tighter than sekiro by a good margin. The game is sort of like if dark souls prioritized parrying instead of dodging. Plays more like a souls than Sekiro. Parrying with a giant greatsword saw instead of a tiny katana is pretty damn cool.

The nice thing about PC is you can wait for a good sale. The $80 price point isn't for you; it's for sickos like me who loved the first game and have waited years for the sequel. The first one is usually available for very cheap or free these days.
I feel bad for the devs. The $80 thing is the big talking point about their game now.

The original Outer Worlds was good fun! It was for sure a different overall feel to Fallout but there was definite familiarity there. You could tell it didnt have as big a budget but I still put dozens of hours into it instead of working on my company provided Alienware laptop at the time!
I'm really looking forward to Outer Worlds 2 though along with the Silent Hill remake and RE9.
This weekend I started and finished South of Midnight which had a decent story and combat was alright. It's got a lot of Louisiana soul to it for sure. I'd recommend giving it a go as a roughly 10 hour game. Beautiful design!
Played some Doom Dark Ages and it's fun but damn it's so hard to shift from Clair Obscur, Stellar Blade, Metaphor etc to that fucking fast paced heart attack. I can only do it in small doses but its fun so far even though I have no idea what's going on in the story.

Ya, I can't get over the idea of "Ha, they're a true fanbase who's desperate for content, they'll buy it at whatever price we give them"
Then lowering the price down to $40 months later.
It's good that you mention it's not the game's fault, that transparency is important to direct the criticisms properly, but man it feels predatory towards the people who truly support and love the game.
I'm with you tho, I'll probably be buying BL4 at $80 unfortunately.

I hear good things about this and people saying its exactly what they need in a game and cheap.
I myself am playing some 7 days to die and some Rimworld.
Also am very happy to see an expansion for Robocop game and you do not need the base game and it is not too expensive..

I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this, seems like it really nails what people want in a game, and the price is right too. I haven’t played 7 Days to Die or RimWorld myself, but I’ve seen a lot of people recommend them. Might have to check them out down the line. I have been playing the RoboCop expansion though, and it’s been great so far.
