OK FC membership, December is the month to be merry and spread cheer among our fellow humans. So in an effort to spread some happiness and joy to the FC membership I, Photorider am going to host a contest each week in December, with first, second and third prizes to the winners. Each prize is 100% free, you only pay actual shipping and that will be worked out after the contest between the winners and myself.
Each contest will follow the exact same rules, but will have a different actual contest item, with different prizes. The prizes are displayed as Prize A, Prize B and Prize C. The winner i.e. first, gets their choice, second gets next choice and third receives what is left. Every prize has both flower and oil attachments of some type. Images of each item are shown in the contest page. If you are a winner and really don’t want the item you are allowed to PLAY-IT-FORWARD to another member. You simply work it out with whoever and PM me. However, the member still must meet the minimum trophy value as defined below and in each auction.
Each contest will start at Midnight PST on the start date, and it will end on Midnight PST on the end date plus 1 for full 7 days. The contests date ranges are:
Each FC member is allowed only one entry per contest; if you rebid aka change your mind because of someone else’s post (and repost) you are disqualified from the contest. Please be fair to everyone.
There is a minimum trophy points for each member to quality to enter the contest. This is to play it forward to members that provide benefit to these forums and are actual participants in them. It is the simplest metric to measure this value.
The minimum trophy point to enter for week 1 is 35 trophy points.
The rules to determine who is first or second or third are as follows.

CONTEST #1
The contest is to guess the weight of the colored material inside this pipe. The value needs to be in ounces (oz). Sorry for the metric people, but the internet is your friend.
Prize B & C will be in a reply post due to image count.
Prize A:

1. If the contest item is to bid a number of some type i.e. weight, quantity etc.
a. First is the closest bid without going over the actual value
b. Second is the next closest bid without going over.
c. Third is the next closest bid (excluding first and second) to the actual value. It can be above for below the actual value.

Example:
Contest 1: guess the weight, which the actual value is 29 OZ.
Person A: guess 30
Person B: guess 28
Person C: guess 26
Person D: guess 27
Person E: guess 25
Contest 1: guess the weight, which the actual value is 29 OZ.
Person A: guess 30
Person B: guess 28
Person C: guess 26
Person D: guess 27
Person E: guess 25
1st: person B, second person D, 3rd: person A (closer that C and E, but since it was over can’t win 1 or 2).
2. If the contest is a text response (only the last auction is like this) – I determine the winners because I only know the answer and it is not black or white. Also there will be criteria stated in Contest 4 on how each winner is determined by different questions of the item on display. In other words, its three questions about the item.
