Flat VS Rounded mouthpiece

I never liked much those fat rounded mouthpieces that feel like almost kissing them to be able to pull properly.
Prefer flat tapered mouthpiece, feels smoother.

But I don't see flat tapered versions much around. Doesn't seem to be popular. Or is it?

Yes there is a wide variety, and the descriptions go further than that, I hate the flat wide disc, or flat wide flaring, or any trumpet flaring... Sometimes a flat pinch or narrow sipper can be comfortable although too restrictive... There are other plane tubes that are more comfortable yet harder to find in the right configuration, fortunately other adapters can make them useful.

Anyway cloud connoisseur has some options and oregon glass blower would be the nicest ideal, however even popular glass (SamL) and genesis glass (yingmin5 lumin88) offer both style in different ways for hooks and mouthpieces

LOVE the rounded, trumpet style mouth piece but it needs to be wide enough to fit lips inside. I had one from Oregon glass that was not wide enough for my liking.

I've liked a lot of both, but to Principal's point, they need to fit your mouth/lips.
While I do like flat, the example picture is not one I would favor. That looks like a cheap chewed on straw.

I always liked the nipple style ones best. Like the elev8r wand. They aren't very common though.

@Principal Guy what would an ideal diameter be? I have made trumpets in various sizes of glass and its hard to get really wide with a 14mm male piece

I would prefer a narrow trumpet so I can just put my lips around it, instead of a wide trumpet where you have to put your lips inside of it... I just hate the mp kissing lol

So ye, the pool should be about covering the MP with lips, or inserting the lips in MP. Rig will influence what is needed and personal preferences also....

Yeah those are just some of the descriptions, I was trying to use as many as possible to help haha it can be pretty subjective! Multiple names for different things too, while everything and in between is available out there somewhere...

Yeah or inserting the MP into the lips, or flat that you have to kiss, etc. so much variety!
