"Blue-Touch" Automatic Toilet Bowl Cleaner
It's those blue tablets you drop into the toilet tank. Very awesome. Not sure if it does anything to "fight hard water stains & keeps your toilet bowl STAIN-FREE!" (from the literature)
But it turns the water blue and I think that's fantastic.

jeffp, I'm glad you're back, active on the forum again. I've missed your posts!

I LOVE the dollar store! Best place in the world for so many things that cost so much more elsewhere. I get small aluminum loaf pans there 3 for $1. At the grocery, they are $4.59 for the same exact thing!

Hi Jeff --

Just a heads up -- my plumber recently told me that those blue toilet bowl cleaner tablets are pretty bad for the plastic and rubber internals of the flushing mechanism. I do not know enough to explain why this is the case, but I have been steering clear of the tablets lately. cheers!

sadly we don't have anything like dollarstores here :(

we do have a few cheap stores tough, with an assortment that changes everytime, and sometimes you can do some great finds.
for example the action sells cocobricks every spring, blocks that expand into 10 litres of cocosoil after adding water, for about 60 cents(would be nice for guerilla, very easy and light to carry)
and also nce I bought some giant pushpins, don't know for sure if I was high but I do remember I thought they were hilarous and I just had to buy them.

and bought some nice gardeninggloves at the max while doing some shopping for sinterklaas(a holiday where you get presents, a lot like how christmas s celebrasted in the US)
and they also have good lightergas there(works well wth the torches I use for my VG, and not too expensive, 2 euros a can I think)

Djonko, I think their dollar-store is similar to our Knaakland (op de Nieuwstad).

To the foreigners, a 'knaak' is an old dutch word for 2 and a half guilders, our old coin before we got the Euro, 'land' simply means 'country'.

But the Action and Max are great cheap stores too.

I get my Silver Match butane from Xenos for 1,95 I think (I think it was you who told me to get it there), but some Poiesz supermarkets also sell it at the cigarette counter. Not all of them though, I noticed some Poiesz markets have a different brand that doesn't carry the 'zero impurities' label.

My thoughts on the blue bowl is this. ever get water splashback? I don`t want those chemicals touching my skin if i can`t help it! + we have a dog, I wouldn`t want fluffly drinking it either! :p

it`s a popular product though so if ya like it then Party on with that clean toilet! :p

btw yes i have missed seeing jeff`s posts around here too.

300ml cans of Newport and Colibri butane (well 1, rather than $1. so not quite as good) It's just a shame there's not one within 100 miles of me.

The dollar store is cool, if you'r going to buy crap from China at least only pay a dollar for it... and to think people actually shop at Wal-Mart?

We have a dollar store around here that has everything you need. You could seriously live off of just that dollar store, hell I have thought of trying it lol

have to take a look there sometime, never heard or been to knaakland.
the xenos and max both carry the same silver match butane, first time I had it it was a can belonging to a friend, wich I discovered worked great with the torches(as opposed to another brand I had with a metal tip), and he got it at the xenos. but then I visted the max one time and discovered they had the exact same butane there, and usually the max is easier to reach for me than the xenos(and I couldn't find the xenos at first since they moved), so now I always buy it at the max. I only take cans from the back tough, since often you can feel the ones on the front are lighter and apparently it's pretty common for some people to go into a store, fill their lighter and leave again(one of my friends I sold a jet torch lighter to once said he always refilled it that way)

Used to have loads of Poundlands nearby when I lived in Manchester - not saying that as some kind of reflection on the North... well actually I suppose I kinda am :D

Anyway they were brilliant for poor students like myself - used to get like 8 lighters for 1! (Before I got my vapes that is.)

Some of the Knaakland stores have changed to Euroland stores btw, not sure what ours is called right now.

I never even thought about filling up my lighters that way, the cheap bastards, lmao.

I keep buying all of the cans of Silver Match they have in stock at the Xenos on the 'centrale', so you may have a hard time finding it there, lol. The big torch I use with the Vapocane can eat up a lot of gas on high, & I don't like to run out

euroland does sound kind of familiar, not that I've ever been there but could be I saw it on a gevel(no idea what that is in english)
if you use that much butane, maybe you shpuld move to groningen so you can pump it out of the grond yourself for free :p
I keep just one can as backup but I don't go trough them as quickly, I like to keep the torchflame for my VG as low as possible

Hi Cleanfield, thanks, you're probably right, it seems that my toilet is more at peace and more welcoming ("sit down, relax") since the blue tablet but it could be glutton for punishment.

I bought a plastic water pitcher. I was suprised it was actually made in USA and that made me feel happy. I cut off the handle stuffed it with drim and dry ice and threw over a 90 micron bag.

and when you think about it, blue and green are the only acceptable colors in this context.
very wise move on the part of the manufacturer.
