Sorry about your problems. My first guess is that you have an improper or faulty converter. A Nano on 3 is less than one watt here in the states, I can place my finger dirctly on the heating element at that setting. You also mentioned in your email that you had to turn the EV-2 off after 5 minutes on the lowest setting becaue the outside gets hot?. That tells me both units are getting way TOO much voltage. Possibly 240v? Please send me a picture of the specs of the converter you are using.
Andy

hope they are alright then ,why didnt anyone tell me what converter i need jesus!? ,if you sell to uk clients for gwad sake tell them to get 110 converter if you don't supply them!!, but yeh 250 volt , what should it be?

110V, yankee style, obviously.

Its amazing that your units survived 250V.

Get a proper 110V converter and you should be fine. Maybe check the internal resistance of your units and check back with Andy, just to double-check nothing got destroyed.

But from my understandnig you should be good to go, unless of course you measure an infinite resistance on one of your units.

just get something like the link above, and go for it. Either it heats up, or it doesn't (in which case you burned something)

I'm not sure why you'd assume the nano would run at 250V though. Certainly its not Andy's fault - it is mentioned numerous times in this very thread - including the first page, after all.

In other news... not sure if this has happened to anyone else yet, but I accidentally melted some plastic to my Nano heat port. Pretty devastated at the time, smell was.horrendous and I thought id have to send it back for.sure. Solution was pretty simple; invert, dab with cloth, and torch clean. I then dry burned my nano for 45 minutes on 10, and proceeded to use my.GONG through bubbler until the element appeared clean. No plastic smell or taste remains, and my heat port is sparkling clean.

Did you read the page on the Epicvape site that tells you about the product you are buying?
Says right there: (copy and paste from website)
6' power cord plugs directly into a 120v outlet = No bulky external power supply.

Read post 1728 and the quote 1729... why did you have to come back and edit the post with language like that when it was obviously your own fault??

I noticed something like that in your previous posts too...

Buying an american product through the internet, pluggin it into the wrong voltage and then coming on a forum and complaining? You better keep your tone in check if you want to be taken serious.

No offence, but you are making yourself sound a bit immature here.

^^^ Which is exactly why I backed off of PD, especially after the hate mail I got from him.

Now back on topic
The cord on my newest enano is longer, more pliable, and doesnt have the rubber thing where the cord goes into the unit. And my older e nano has the "new" cord. described and pictured by Andy a couple pages back. Anyways I'm really happy with the newest revision of the cord. I'd imagine the newer E Nanos would have this cord as well. My new e nano is also about a quarter inch taller than my last and the heating element and steel insert is pushed a little further down inside the wood. I set my nano upside down on my desk and it barely makes the desk warm. These things keep getting better. Way to go Andy!!!

I'll have to post some comparison pics soon, I've been too lazy to post pics of my new Maple Nano but they will be coming. Its gorgeous.

This is not correct. You can edit for a limited time after you first make a post. It's expected that this would be to correct mistakes, add a reply to another post, or add something you forgot.

Editing your post to revise history is frowned upon and could get you in trouble. Abuse of this sort is the reason we limit the edit window. Certain threads have holes in them when someone decided to simply delete everything, thereby rendering some discussions incomprehensible. Even with the time limit we still get cases of abuse of the edit function.

Here's a deal on eBay you guys might be interested in:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-Stainless-Steel-PIPE-SCREENS-375-3-8-9-5-mm-/350449610417?

I received mine last week and they look fine. I haven't got anything to put them in ...yet, but they should come in handy.

Andy said I should have seen my E-Nano sometime last week and I still haven't received it. I wrote him Friday because I had friends staying with me for the weekend and was hoping I'd get it Sat. to show-off. These are potential buyers and are really stoked to see it after I showed them some videos and explained it's advantages.
I didn't receive a reply from Andy and took that as a good sign thinking it would probably show up the next day or two but alas, no.

I never got a shipping notice other than his statement in our back and forth and having read this thread noticed some people did and some didn't but someone posted that when the payment went through and was marked processed your unit should be shipping. Man, I hope that's the case.
I'm Order 355, paid and processed.
I live in a small town and sometimes a package will be delayed a day but usually only a day.
Is this unusual? Should I be concerned?
I have people coming to celebrate the 4th so I'd love to have it but regardless if USPS has screwed up I'd rather know sooner than later.

I'm not bitching or complaining just concerned.

Update: I wouldn't normally post that I got a shipping notice but others in the future may wonder. I think the folks that didn't were when units were first going out.
Andy must have meant I would probably see the shipping notice not the unit.
Regardless I'm happy.

I hope he didn't see the above and rush or think I was being a jerk.
I live in a small one post office town and have had problems in the past. That was my concern.

I'll be posting my experience after a few sessions.

So this is a bit of a random find and I'm not sure if anyone else will enjoy this, but I share anyways. Most of the time when I am vaping I like to stir my load and I have found a few ways to do so with the nano but none that I really like. First method I just use the e-pik and stir the load. I usually have some pieces fall out. Second method I dump it out stir it around and load it back in, a bit tedious, but works well. Third method is to just put my finger on the end and shake. This is my favorite method due to convenience and ease, but I tend to burn the shit out of my finger, until the other day.... I was fiddling around with the storage tube while vaping and the phone rang and I just grabbed the cap from the tube and stuck it on the end of the stem. Fit perfect, no spillage or anything. Then it hit me, I could use this cap as a way to shake the load without burning my finger. Really been making my vaping experience pleasant with this new trick, especially with the very even coloring of each load. Enough talking, Ill let the pictures explain below if I didnt make sense.

I do something similar with my Nano all-glass GonGs. I use the corks that came with my UD glass stems and the poker tool from my UD. After two hits, I plug the GonG, and then use the poker to ... well ... "poke" through the glass holes (because my material just tends to stick), and then I shake it up and hit again, using the cork to keep from burning my finger. Pretty much the same idea, I think.

I love the tubes and their caps! When I use a stem for hitting, I'll put that plastic cap on, slide it partly into the cleaning tube, and that keeps it safe (when I'm done with a hit and laying it down).

hi andy sent an email already but figured i would post it here incase anyone else has the same question.

would you be able to make an 10mm all glass gong?

just saw this cool grav labs upline bubbler (pretty cool and affordable), unfortunately it has a 10mm joint so im not sure if and how i could effectively use it with my e-nano.

any ideas FC?

cant find one online and dont no any glass blowers. if there is an easy solution i will pick up the piece but if not its no big deal
It's not very common so it may be hard to find. But good luck anyways! I know I've seen some 10mm stuff here and there around the web. Your best luck is to ask a blower tho I would say. Or grav labs themselves.
