DIY E-Nail Handle

I've made a few of these over the years but I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out.
There's obviously better ways to do this but I'm cheap and this is what I had laying around lol.
Thought I'd post a few pics of the process in case anyone else wants to give it a go - pretty easy.

Materials:
Wooden dowel (4mm)
Wax-coated jewelry thread (1mm thick / 30' long)
Part of a basic plastic pen tube/outer shell. (Not in pictures)
Super glue (I used the gel type / instant bond)
Masking tape

Separate sticks slightly and apply a layer of masking tape

At this point, wrap the dowels around the cable. Make sure it feels snug at the thickest point of the connector between the cable and the coil.
(You may need to add/remove a couple sticks depending on how thick yours is.)
Then I took a plastic pen tube/shell, split it down one side, and slid it over the cable, to keep rigidity under the entire length of the handle. (Forgot to take a pic)
Once you're happy with the fit, attach it with more masking tape.

Now for wrapping. I started by super gluing the tip of the thread at one end of the "handle" and simply wrapped the whole thing.
Here's the first layer done and then secured at the end with a dab of glue.

Wrapped it in one more layer of thread and super glued the tip at the end.
Colored the ends of the dowel with black sharpie.
Feels really solid, light, and slightly grippy with the wax thread.
