Dani Fusion by Battery-free Ganz

Thank you!!!!! My click was barely audible and now it's not perfect but definitely better.
Your post prompted me to think... mine has grown quieter since new (I rely more on the tactile, vs the aural, but still like to hear the click). Will have to see if I can get mine back 'up to spec', as well

I have been testing the fusion induction cap by @DgN'R
It is comfortable as hell.
Faster with the one than the official cap with the flare (25-30 vs 30 vs 40). The SS alloy is heated up way better.
There is no click, but, since it is made to use induction i dont see a big problem (I have to try it with the inductor, that will be more complex maybe :D)

This is a video i made showing the results with half-bowl setting, herb, and 190C on the wand with the new madheaters adapter. It takes 29-30 sec, gives me great flavor, good clouds and the abv is still light

Great to see how well it works, hope that means I can get my hands on one soon.

Thanks for your video, this looks promising. Do you have a flare to test it with?

The flare works better with the original cap. With this one, it works at 60W…
But! This one works better with induction since you dont need for the silver to distribute the heat along the cap after heating it. It also takes 5-10 seconds less to be ready (at least from my experience).

Okay so @DgN'R reached out to me asking if I would like to test a beta of the cap. Of course I said yes!

To be very honest, when @DgN'R explained what the cap did, I was not really too excited about the concept. A cap that makes the fusion work with the wand. To be honest I use the Fusion in the Flare and that works just fine. A bit of a niche product for a niche problem, did not excite me.

Then when unboxing I noticed no clicker. Hmmmm.

I started by replacing the v1 wand stand, with the new v2 wand stand from mad heaters. Then I tested the old cap on the wand, to remind myself of the performance. Old cap does not fit from the top and does not get hot enough to work. New cap does fit.

Compared to the old cap the performance of the new cap is night and day. It really is a massive boost to performance. I found that not only does the new cap work in the wand, the performance seems boosted compared to old cap and flare. You have to be careful not to overheat, and its quite easy to finish a cap in a couple of reheats.

Do I miss the clicker? not as much as I thought, but it would be better with a clicker. I hope later versions will have a clicker installed.

So overall I have been pleasantly surprised with this new cap. In summary I believe you get a boost in performance over the standard cap and flare. Of course another bonus is the wand is smaller and more portable than the Flare.

Thank you for releasing the video @kokolokokolokon

The flare works better with the original cap.
Yeah, it wasn't designed specifically for the Flare, but rather for an optimized wand experience. But it should probably work better with the new Flare revision, hopefully when they come out. Some testers have mentioned that it works well with the first version of the Flare

For comparison, with the original cap and wand, it takes about 1 minute 45 seconds to heat up, and you need to set the wand to maximum temperature (430°C) or heat up the cap twice in a row to get good results and you'll get about 10-12 heats from a full battery.

With the SUS430 IH Cap, it heats up very quickly in just 30 seconds, and a temperature of 190-210°C seems more than sufficient with flowers. The cap also offers good heat retention and you could get about 18-20 heats from a full battery.

This is a very good complement for the Dani Fusion 2.0, and performance has been significantly improved when using the wand. The cap is specially designed for use under induction and is in no way intended to replace the original cap, which works perfectly well with a torch lighter (and its click will be very useful).

I really like the Dani Fusion 2.0, the steam is so smooth and it delivers huge clouds effortlessly. The Artemis 2.0 stem is beautifully designed! BFG does great job!

Thanks for the feedback @oddjobold 🙂

About the click, I understand your concerns. Personally, I use the wand in auto mode until the “Time Over” message appears, then I use PP MagSink Stand to help with cooling when I'm done, but I understand that this can be interesting (especially for consecutive bowls). As it's for induction only, I thought it wasn't necessary (as the wand indicates the end of the heating process), but I might consider an audible or visual indicator later on

Currently, I've made a last-minute revision to the cap to offer faster screwing and unscrewing (less threading) as well as to avoid thermal lock during prolonged consecutive use. Performance will not change. I'm waiting for the final sample. Sorry for those in a hurry, but I wanted to do it before the official release to avoid releasing a V2 a few months later. This should only delay things by a month. Please, be patient

Will folk in the UK be able to purchase your cap when it's released?

@DgN'R What would the heating time with a small torch 1.5cm - 2.0cm flame be around?

I've been using the Artemis exclusively with hash and a torch since it's taken so long in the wand and it's been so nice experience. The bowls last long and hasn't been close to combustion even 5-8 seconds over the click. The click on the original cap is set on such low temp so a great indicator.

I've been using hash in the sus430 induction cap. With wand.

I'm currently changing temps around as I've got a few different types of hash. But I've not once had a bad bowl. I'd 100% recommend getting this cap.

Used lots of different strains of flower with the wand set at 180°c and using the Dani natively it's absolutely amazing.

With a torch lighter, whether a small or large flame, it will take longer to heat up than the original cap. The cap is not intended for use with a torch (thickness is relatively thick), as the original cap and these silver rings (which offers the best thermal conductivity and fast heating) already excels in this respect.

When I use the Dani with a torch lighter, I always use the original cap, which is why I make it clear that it is not intended to replace the original cap if you use a torch lighter. It is only recommended for boosting induction.

SUS430 IH Cap offers excellent hash performance with the wand
