Hi gang,

I am here to introduce DABSTORM, our new ceramic variable voltage dab pen package, which is now available. Please see the Retailer Announcements section for details of a 25% off deal for FC members.

We released our first dab pen, DABSTAR, about 18 months ago, basically our aim with that was to create a well made but reasonably priced variable voltage version of the many fine wick-and-coil dab pens available at that time. We learned a lot from that experience, and have put that knowledge into this new product, which is a bit more creative.

With DABSTORM we have worked with a new, very small manufacturer to create something different. We wanted to combine a new ceramic donut style atomizer with a glass mouthpiece and a slim stick battery, variable voltage of course! One of the biggest challenges was getting enough power to the ceramic donut to create satisfying clouds with such a small battery.

I'm a fan of low-temp dabbing myself, and as such I'm very proud of the rich flavour that you get from the Dabstorm with the ceramic donut- the secret is to allow the donut to heat up for a few seconds before you start inhaling. But I know some fans of our previous product really liked the fact that you could crank up the heat for a really fat dab, and we wanted to make sure those people were happy too... So we included a ceramic rod and titanium coil atomizer in the package for those who prefer bigger hits.

Dabstorm comes with a glass-tipped mouthpiece and all-glass mouthpiece - glass makes such a difference when it comes to flavour, we're sure you'll agree. The kit also includes a silicone lined storage pot, dabber tool, USB charger and manual. We retail this for £49 in British Pounds, around $75 USD.

For those who really want to combine the best flavour with the biggest hits, we have a solution for you too! We engineered our ceramic donut atomizer so that it can be used safely up to 30W, 6.8V, so we have released a larger battery, the Dabstorm Big Boy, which gives you the freedom to go up there. The hits with this at 21-25W are thick and delicious, and if you turn it all the way up you can totally burn off any residue from your donut. We don't recommend using the rod atomizer above 15w as it may burn out.

I look forward to answering any questions and to hearing your thoughts! Thanks!

Got one of this in the mail today, seems very interesting!

I like the all glass mp you can pop up for reload, I was bored by threaded mp

and to get both sort of attys: ceramic rod and donut.

I get the big battery also but more testing is in progress...

Waiting for your review

I hope to have mine by Tuesday or Wednesday but it looks really promising. I was thinking about buying a ceramic rod and donut atomizers from other brand and an eleaf to use as battery but at this price and being sold by Vapefiend I had to buy it from them. Love his customer service, best one in Europe IME

I have also gotten a Dabstorm and am very pleased with it. I'm loving the ability to have lower temp dabs. The glass mouthpiece is a nice change; although I'm a klutz and I do worry about it breaking on my ceramic floors and granite counter tops. The glass imparts a nice feel to the lips and gives a smoother flavor. Speaking of flavor, it really comes through with this pen; especially at lower temps.

I also got the Big Boy battery. Now this is a game changer with the donut atty. You can amp up the voltage and get thick hits. It's also good for cleaning the donut atty.

Of the two atty's, I like the donut best. It seems to get a more even and efficient melt (perhaps because of the higher temp ability?) than the coil type.

For comparison sake, I took a few pics. In the first one, I have the Dabstorm next to the Dr. Dabber Ghost pen. You can see that the Dabstorm is quite a big larger than the Ghost. Imo, this does decrease the portability factor of it. I can't fit it in a glasses case to put in my purse and I would imagine it might be a tough fit in a pocket. But for around the house, in the car or on the boat it's great.

The Big Boy battery increases the size. I've shown it here with the Imag+ in between the Dabstorm and the Ghost to give perspective.

There's still lots of experimenting to be done... with different temps and types of concentrates. :science:
But I'm really happy with what I've seen from the Dabstorm so far.

The Dabstorm package contains a VV battery, 1 donut atty, 1 ceramic rod atty, a glass mp adaptater, 2 full glass mp, 1 threded glass mp, 1 wax container, 1 very nice concentrates tool, user guide and usb cable.

Body finish is very similar to the Dabbler or Drdabber.

Donut atty produces light clouds and nice taste and ceramic rod gives you thicker vapor.

The full glass mp is very nice cause you can take it off to reload quickly without the awkward threading (especially when dirty), it doesn't look suspicious as a glass globe also!

The big battery is nice to put in your car but not really stealth.

I noticed this donut is not sub-ohm..this is the first non-sub-ohm donut atty I meet (not a lot although).

I tested them with Kush Killer and Norten light Live resin, taste is night and day between the ceramic rod and the donut, using them at 4v, quick thick clouds with the rod (and taste suffer) and tasty clouds with the donut (clouds are definitly here also).

Here a pic of my Dabstorm and my Dabbler:

Thanks for looking!

Spot on @PPN ... You can soak the atomizer, but the finish will come off. So best to put a couple of drops of iso in there and leave it to soak.

But with the donut you can clean it by using the Big Boy battery at full power to burn off residue.

I have one of these, wasn't very impressed tbh.

I found the draw really tight and it gets easily clogged. Airflow needs work imo.
I don't think the battery is powerful enough for the doughnut either. I ended up using mine @5.5v on a mod. Which brings me to resistance, when firing, it jumps from 1.2 to 2.8 and beyond. I've never seen that before, thought it was quite odd. However this is just me, others may have a different experience. And FWIW I kinda feel bad for the negative review tbh, I really like Vapefiend and what he does for UK vapers. Its my go to store!!! But it's the truth as I see it.

Sorry mate.

Mine get a nice airflow, better than my Dabbler airflow...maybe you overloaded...

although your atty seems defective since your resistance issues, I get clouds using the donut at 4v with the small provided battery.

The Divine tribe donut atty produces thicker clouds and seems build better(thicker donut!) but it is bigger and it is sub-ohm, taste is very similar and, imo, Dabstorm wins about airflow.

I may of loaded too much, but I doubt it tho. The atty wasn't defective btw, I tried 2 of them, both behaved the same. Have you put yours on a mod and read the resistance?

Anyways it doesn't really matter, jus cos I don't like it, it doesn't mean it's not good!

My setup now is a TC Mod, titanium coil, organic cotton wick on a rda. Ceramic is not needed in TC mode.

Hi vaporvaper

It definitely sounds like you got a couple of faulty atomizers there- we discovered that some of our early stock was faulty, but we have removed these from sale now. Please contact us via our website, we will definitely be able to sort this out for you ASAP. As PPN says, there should be no issue with airflow or unusual resistance behaviour with Dabstorm.

Your not crazy, I see the same thing happen, more so if there is no oil/wax on the donut, the rod gets less of an increase though but still there.

My guess here is in general the electrical resistivity of metals increase with temperature, IMO not something you would really see using a standard eliquid device due to the liquid.

I could be wrong of course and we could both have faulty atomisers  I've had mine just over a month and all my atomisers are still performing like new.

 Just as I typed this my dabstorm slipped out my hand, only fell around a foot but landed on my SSV at a funny angle and has bent the top of the battery (connector) and the rod atomiser no longer works, the battery still works with my donuts but as I'm not sure about any internal damage I think it best to not use it  I've got lots of boxmods that can handle the attys and work in the right range but they don't fit in my storm case (which holds my storm, neoprene sleeve, storm bubbler mp, extra 18650 and dabstorm) so my on the go stealth dabs are on hold for now, the MP does look really good on my black subox mini but it's a bit bulky carrying that and my storm case.

@UnshavenFish sorry to hear that bro, If it works with the doughnut, your battery is probably ok. I would assume the fall knocked a wire loose in the rod atty. If you can put it on a mod, and if it reads no atty, then that's what it is.

:peace:

Yeah I'm sure it's a loose connection as it does read no atty then jumps to 4/5 for a second then back to nothing, it's not a big loss for me as I prefer my donuts anyways (for me they are easier to load and I prefer the taste)

Your probably right about the battery as its nothing major but you can see the bend (my OCD can't deal with that :mental:) and because of where it is, charging would play on my mind. I like to try to keep life as relaxed and stress free as I can so for the price of a new battery for me it's worth the piece of mind (most of my friends have lost or are loosing their hair and get stressed over the little things, I still have a full head of hair and plan of keeping it :D) although with the FC discount code it probably makes more sense to just get a whole new kit for the price , I've still got lots of ways to use it for now and if I take my bubbler and sleeve out of my case I can fit my subox in so I can dab on the go still.

I prefer the look of the glass tip MP but like @PPN I love how easy the all glass MP is to load without unscrewing.

Anyway I just wanted to add my issue is down to my own stupidity/clumsiness  and nothing to do with build quality, I do really like the dabstorm yes my nail can do things it can't but for speed, ease of use and stealth it's a very handy tool to have in your line up.

I have really been enjoying the ability to change temps while using this pen. Imo, this is the feature that really makes this pen a 'cut above.'

The low temp hits are so darn flavorful. And the concentrate lasts so much longer.

But then there's that Big Boy battery for when you really want to crank it... :brow:

The one thing I haven't figured out yet is the glass mouthpiece that comes in the box... how do you guys attach it? Or does it just sort of set on the pen?

Looking forward to giving this a shot... No brainier with the discount code, that's a really good price with the 25% off

Yep I just pulled the trigger as well, bundled up the storm, big boy, storm bubbler and a extra donut for $120 including free shipping to US.
