Cutting down a log vape stem?

Anyone know how I would go about doing this properly? I wanna make one of my regular stems into a short bong one. Just wondering what would work best to cut it bassicaly. Thanks.

Hack saw should do the trick but who am I to say I'm kind of a hack

I used a hack saw. I'm pretty skilled with them saws, but it's so crude looking compared to a properly turned one. Best way to cut it? On a lathe with a cutoff tool Might as well put a radius on the tip while its chucked up...

I had to make my stems for my Purple Days Pandora kit- it was just a case of cutting them with a hacksaw, and then sanding the ends with sand paper by hand (this was Tom's instruction). I managed to get it into the chuck on my hand drill and then pressed the end, spinning, against sand paper in my palm. At your own risk. The stem material actually sands away really easily.

Above post was a mistake getting used to new forum

Treat the stems like wood. Just cut and sand with wood saw and sand with sand paper to round it off then use a finer grade to finissh but last bit might not be needed as you are not putting it in your mouth.
